Al Manara is like a bright oasis of calm and serenity right in the middle of the busy medina. As soon as you step through the door you are in a different world. The whole place is gorgeous and bright, the rooms are great and you have everything you need. Corinne is an exceptional and kind host and gave us a very warm welcome (by sitting us down, bringing us tea and moroccan sweets and chatting with us - allowing us to really arrive and calm down after our previous journey). We also got a beautiful and delicious traditional breakfast the next morning. Would 100% recommend and 100% stay here again!

Everything was wonderful!

The hotel recently opened, very luxury and beautiful Riad in the middle of Essaouria! From welcoming to leaving, I’ve been treated amazingly by Corinne and her crew. The breakfast was amazing, the bed very comfy and the staff super attentive. I would definitely recommend staying here, people should get to know this Riad in the middle of Essaouria.

Great location for exploring the medina. Owner is very friendly and helpful with lots of great recommendations to make the most of your stay. Breakfasts were yummy

Lighting in the room could be improved. Lamp didnt work and ceiling lights were very bright

From the moment we entered the riad, we were surprised by the tasteful way it has been renovated and decorated. The receptionist, a young local woman, gave us a map and explained the best places to visit and the best gastronomic spots in Essaouira. Our room for 3 people was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, and it combined local dishes (freshly cooked) with more european continental food The location is ideal, on a calm alley on the side of one of the most central and busy streets.

There is a TV in the common area but the room did not have one.

Fantastic find within Essaouria. Beautiful entrance space that flows throughout the entire property. The Riad is only made more special by Corinne and the staff on hand. Corinne gave us some recommendations for food which were incredible and truly highlighted the short stay we had in Essaouira alongside some magical places to watch the sun set over the port. Brilliant Riad completed impeccably and made truly special by Corinne and Staff. Breakfast once at the property was one of the best we had during our time in Morocco with lots of local cusine and recipes being showcased. Both Essaouira and Riad Al Manara hold a special place for us. 100% will be back!

Great location in the heart of the Medina. Beautiful home of which Corinne the owner is rightfully proud. Lovely staff - very attentive and helpful and able to adapt to dietary requirements. Lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Absolute peace and tranquillity once out of the hussle and bussle of the Medina and inside the Riad.

There was nothing to dislike about this Riad - it has been beautifully renovated and Corinne goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.

Lovely breakfast - local fruit, cheese, jam, honey, pancakes and coffee. Eggs and omlettes available too. The two guys running it, both called Lassan, were excellent - very helpful and friendly. Showed us to a great local restaurant (L' hssira), and made us a breakfast to go as we were leaving early one day for a trip to Essaouira (reccommended). The manager Mohammed left us a nice hand written note in the room welcoming us to the riad.

Shower head fitting could have been better, you had to hold it over your head.

Riad Al Manara is a gorgeous accommodation and we had a wonderful stay all around. The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable, everything was incredibly clean, the location was amazing, Corinne and her staff were very kind and we received great tips about restaurants, rooftops and little shops. The breakfast was also delicious and a little different every day for variety. We would recommend everyone to choose this wonderful Riad!

Everything was perfect. This was our favourite Riad during our Morocco trip!

This recently renovated riad is located in the heart of the Medina. I was travelling with my two kids and found it quite easily. The owner, Corinne, who is from France, her husband, is Moroccan, was waiting for us & welcomed us with tea & water. She was so kind & helpful, giving us excellent food recommendations in the area. When we were struck with malaise, I asked if she know of a naturopath / herbalist. Her husband offered to take us to an herbalist and I bought us some tea which was very effective. The riad itself was painstakingly renovated for over 7 years. The attention to detail is incredulous; the little nooks, the beautiful pieces on the wall, the double windows, everything has such thought behind it. The staff here were also quiet, friendly and approachable. The love & care that was put into this bright riad really shows.
