This is our second stay at Milton Park and we really like it. The room was lovely although we did think it had a separate bedroom and living area - which it didn't. We booked our stay with breakfast and this was lovely. The antique furnishings are lovely and the bar and billiards room are great for a pre-dinner relax. The gardens are divine, well worth an afternoon or after dinner stroll (if it's still light).

The spa is closed and doesn't look like it's reopening any time soon. I didn't realise this before booking and it doesn't say anything on their website. The rooms and bathrooms are a little dated. Our room had the shower over a spa and it was a little difficult getting in and out safely but it wasn't a showstopper.

Milton Park is a slice of heaven. The grounds exude peace and grace. A stay here is conducive to rest for the soul. A hark back to a time when life was slower and (perhaps) a little more civilised.

The establishment is due for a refurb, no doubt. There are quite a few imperfections that I could nitpick about if I wanted to (and god knows everyone else has in the reviews section here). But honestly, I'd rather have stunning, panoramic views and lush, verdant greenery ... coupled with maybe a slightly out of vogue chair and a mild musty smell in certain parts.... than some clinically 'immaculate' CBD shoebox hotel that ticks all the right boxes but has no soul. Milton Park will appeal to those who connect to the energy and heritage of a place, rather than those who want some sanitised and shallow 'luxury' experience, which one can get anywhere.

Beautiful manor house and stunning gardens. Wonderfully decorated rooms, with soft lighting. Quiet, warm, and comfortable. The French style pool house was warm and beautiful. EV charger at the back was very convenient and appreciated. Friendly staff and excellent and unpretentious high tea. Small but excellent breakfast buffet.

Check-in space for cars was a little awkward and caused congestion. Signs could have been better considered. E.g. Rather than putting "No Parking" signs along the front driveway where the guest check-in is also located, I think the actual intention is "15 min parking". Our room door was a little stuff to open and close. Also I think the rooms are big enough to accommodate a family of 4 with young children. would have been nice to keep the family together.

We arrived on a Friday to check out on Sunday. The first breakfast on Saturday was a buffet and it was great. It has the standard fare, bacon, scrambled eggs, dried tomatoes, crispy potatoes, sausages, a selection of jams and a selection of breads. It was a good spread. On Sunday, it was quite different, the breakfast was a la carte but was still good. I chose the scambled eggs with the bacon and the works. On both days I asked for hot chocolate, and I helped myself to some apple juice. The room was large, the TV works, there's a small fridge, and water kettle with some selection of teas and decaf coffee. The pool was heated, I just think that it could be hotter considering that it was too cold when we visited. The parking was adequate, it was quite full that weekend due to a wedding party. The parking was just dirt in the back corner of the property.

gym and sauna was closed for renovations during the visit. The location is quite far from anything and everything. We stayed in the main building and if you want to go to the pool, you have to go out and walk to get there, it was cold that time and at some point raining so you'll be exposed going to and from the pool.

Loved the gardens, history and ambience of the hotel. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast and pool are standouts as well. We've stayed here a couple of times and will go back again. If you want somewhere romantic for a couples weekend I'd recommend staying here. Ask for ground floor with garden view to really enjoy the view of the fountain. But upstairs has a fireplace and great views of surrounding landscape.

Old hotel so some of the room decor needs a bit of a lift - although I found it super clean and didn't detract from my experience. Beds were comfy and otherwise great facilities.

The room was spacious and comfortable, albeit in need of refurbishing. The bed was good. I liked that there was a proper hairdryer, large bath towels, and an iron and ironing board in the room. Dinner was very good with careful attention to detail. Breakfast was very good, although I think it should finish at 11:00 am, not 10:00 am. The gardens were spectacular. Although I didn't have an opportunity to sit in the bar/lounge, it looked very appealing.

I would like to see more power points in the rooms. Some form of radio in the room, perhaps incorporated into the television. More subtle lighting in the bathroom. Later check out - say 11:00 or 12 noon (in keeping with international 5* hotels). Breakfast until 11:00 (also in keeping with international 5* hotels).

Milton Park’s gardens are truly stunning. So stunning they deserve heritage listing. The staff were gorgeous The restaurant was wonderful - clever beautifully prepared food and great service. There was a wedding when we stayed, which looked great but because the venue is so vast, it didn’t disturb us.

All of the wonderful things help you overlook the fact that the buildings are in disrepair. The rooms need renovating but I imagine the costs for a venue this size would be huge.

REception staff were amazing :). Rooms were beautiful. Sitting rooms in main building were beautiful, loved the fires, breakfast was good though was a bit dissapointed only one hot drink included, would have been nice to have some gluten free pasteries/cakes. Would have been good to have been instructed what temperature to have heaters on in the room overnight as Mum s room there was no numbers onthe dial so hard to tell or now how hot to have it. Mum woe up boiling as did another guest we spoke to. Grounds were beautiful too. Would have been good to be told what facilities were available - swimming pool, tennis courts.

I took my daughter on a one-night getaway to the beautiful Southern Highlands. Our stay at Milton Park was perfect. Yes, it has some areas that are 'older style' but the charm was still there for us. The staff were outstanding. Both people on reception were incredibly accommodating, the breakfast staff were just lovely and really friendly...even stopping to chat with my daughter and me about the birds outside. Breakfast had just the right choice; I had eggs, mushrooms, sourdough and avocado, chia pudding, and a lovely Danish. The barista coffee was as good as any that I had in a cafe in Bowral. The manager also stopped to ask about our stay and mentioned the planned upgrades/refurbishments that will make this place even more inviting. We made the most of our stay by walking around the beautiful grounds, going for a swim and even having a quick game of billiards. The sun poured into our room and I wish we had booked for another day. The beds were incredibly comfortable and it was no problem for them to split a king into two singles. Thank you to everyone at Milton. We look forward to returning.

This is only a tiny thing, but some cushions for the terrace metal chairs would've been great.

The gardens were absolutely charming and we loved walking them during our stay. The property is also a bit away from town so you get plenty of privacy and quiet on the grounds. The team were very friendly and did their best to make our stay comfortable. We also felt very welcome. The beds were very comfortable and the room clean. The restaurant was incredible - everything was superb!

The room was very hot, even with the windows open. The shower was also a little low.
