Enjoyed our stay. Just want we needed. Somewhere to rest our heads after a long car journey. Very handy that it is above a pub. We got a drink once we were all checked in and settled. The next morning we got chatting to the housekeeper who was lovely. I cannot remember her name. She was Irish. She told us about her story how she emigrated to Australia. She was very friendly. That was nice.

Maybe we were half sharp but we didn't understand where the other route to the rooms were. We were trying the doors to get in on the wrong side. I think it is because we were so tired. We realised when exiting, that there's a staircase tucked round the alcohol shop. Would be good if this was further explained. Also, I forgot to report this, one of the showers was not giving any warm water. I just used the other one. Maybe the tank needed to fill up.

It was a ‘9pm stop-go 6am in the morning’ stop over. The staff were very nice. I parked out the back. My room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. I had a great sleep. It’s shared bathrooms - meaning you still have the room(s) to yourself. There is one bathroom that’s been renovated. Pick that one if you’re very picky. Down stairs is a typical Aussie pub. Great for a couple or single who wants a cheap and safe stay.

No meals were eaten at the hotel but we had drinks on the verandah. The stay was surprisingly peaceful given that The Argyle is a local bar. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Location was great and the off street car park was safe. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and the water supply was plentiful and hot.

One small thing to improve. The room only had one double power outlet. This meant swapping devices, phone chargers, kettle, bedside light etc.

I just have 2 small pieces of feedback: 1. It would be great if the soap dispenser next to the shower could be labelled, so that I know whether it is shampoo or body wash, or both, if that's the case. 2. It would be great if there were extra toilet rolls in the toilet, as when I went to the toilet, the toilet roll ran out.

Exactly what we were looking for, convenient, friendly, and its small town pub charm. It must've been a quiet Friday evening, as we didn't hear much noise from the pub or other guests staying. We had one of the ensuites.

I enjoyed some meals at the Pub which were delicious. The location is excellent. Pubs are the best for talking to locals (staff and patrons) with knowledge of the area and activities. 2 recommendations were : lunch at a Restaurant in a "historic location"; and visit to the local Sunday Markets (happens every 3rd Sunday) which was "true country style", namely down to earth with lots of locally produced items and products to buy. All very enjoyable.

I chose a "Pub Stay", fully aware that it can get a little noisy at times, so I wasn't disappointed about anything. I would have liked to have a small mini-fridge in the room for milk and drinks.

Staff, cleanliness were excellent.

One side of the queen mattress was completedestroyed. I slept on the other side, which was very comfortable. Would have been pretty challenging if there were 2 of us in the bed.

Location was great. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Advertised as with streaming services but there wasn’t, not a big deal just know to bring the chrome cast next time.
