I booked late due to road work and couldn’t get to my destination safely. Booked and paid on line and within 5 minutes I received a text with my room number and the PIN code to access the electronic lock. Room clean and comfortable.

Neat, tidy and fresh. I was very comfortable. It was lovely and clean and had everything I needed, even a microwave which came in so handy! It was very quiet too, no traffic noise at all and even though fully booked I barely heard anyone else. Was able to walk easily to the shops/cafes and always had a parking spot on site even though they were booked out. Shower pressure awesome and water so hot so quick! I was warm and cosy in the room and loved my stay. Thank you.

I noticed a few things missing (which I didn't need during my stay so it was no problem) such as a hair dryer, iron/ironing board. However, I am confident I could have asked reception for these items if needed. There were also no coat hangers but there was a rack? Perhaps you need to request these? However, as I was travelling alone I used the extra beds to lay out clothes and it was more than fine.

Booking.com! The check-in process is automated, so upon booking you are sent a PIN that allows self-check in. But booking.com somehow delays the communication so that I would not have been able to check in until some hours after I arrived. I was lucky someone was in the office or I would have had to abandon, even though I had paid.

We were able to check in early for no additional costs even tho our room wasnt ready the staff went above and beyond to quickly clean and tidy our room and allowed us to wait in a air conditioned room while they did so. rooms were a little dated in some parts of the room , but each appliance functioned well as did the shower and toilet. Beds were comfy enough , all in all its a fair price for the place.

their really wasnt much i didnt like we were treated well and the staff were friendly . plus the no contact check in / room key was a really great touch and added another layer of privacy when checking out.

Bathroom needs an update. It's 1960's vintage and the water pressure in the shower was very low. The ceiling fan was precarious and looked like it would fall down into the shower. The room was not serviced on our second day, even though the information given was that rooms are serviced if staying 2 or more nights.

For the price I paid, it is beyond expectations. I booked the wrong day. The staff immediately made changes for me. I read some of the reviews and had some doubts. But once I arrived it was perfect. No issues with hot water as it is strong. Great ventilator. Clean and I think they just renovated it. Everything looks new. The kitchen utensils was great too . If you are looking some something above hostels and below a 4 stars hotel facilities. Melrose will be great.

Although the premises is older style, it was well maintained and painted. Location was ideal for a stopover before heading to Central Coast early next morning. Beds were comfortable.

Some staining on the carpet needs attention. Soundproofing between rooms not great but that is expected for building of that period - we could head the neighbours TV and I think they fell asleep with it on.

Decor was lovely. Beds were comfortable Bedding was nice. Liked that there was a separate smoking area, so that kept the smokers away from our door. The fan in the bathroom was clean. It's never clean in other motels. It was very very nice

Parking was a small problem because of an overgrown plant. Shower floor stayed wet all day, because of leak. Very small fridge

Clean accommodation, friendly staff, plenty of off street parking. Water pressure and temperature was good with shower. Close to the Main Street with lots of shops, restaurants, etc. to choose from.

Shower head might need fixing as it didn’t sit in the right position for a taller person. On main road so a bit of road noise could be heard but nothing too loud or disturbing.

The bed was comfortable, there was a microwave and crockery - other reviews mentioned that there was no microwave. The room was a decent size and was quite clean. The shower had good pressure and a lot of hot water. It was in a good location from town. Staff were friendly.

The kettle didn't fit under the faucet easily to fill it and it was a bit dated - but it was great value for money and just what I needed for a one night stay. I couldn't hear any other guests. really liked the cookies that were provided.
