We stayed at Dormie House to attend a wedding nearby. We therefore didn’t get to experience the property as a whole, however, our room which was a newly renovated room was really lovely and had a great outlook over the practise green. The bed was super comfy and the room was immaculately clean. The hallways etc haven’t been updated at all so I’m not sure if they will be done in due course but we were very happy with our renovated room.

Not a big deal but a full length mirror in the room would be useful for getting dressed.. especially for something like a wedding. Minimal toiletries provided.

The Dormie House is just a 15-minute drive from central Bowral, located in a quiet and peaceful area. The property features a restaurant, bar, and a spacious common area. During our two-night stay, we made use of the common area each evening to play board games and enjoyed ordering coffee and tea. The venue is well-heated in winter (and I assume equally comfortable with air conditioning in summer). Our rooms were clean and equipped with all the essentials. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows provided for two people. I booked two rooms: one for my partner and me, and another for my brother and sister-in-law.

The rooms are on the smaller scale but that is expected for the age of the property. If you have large luggage with you, you'll need to be mindful of that but there is a cupboard in each room that would fit a larger luggage bag.

We loved it and we will be back the meal which came out of the kitchen would just amazing, as to the lovely reception lady who was the perfect person for the job.

Our room was freshly painted and as you would expect the smell was very strong, It was very clean, the food was just lovely but there were a large number of guests having breakfast and the main area was full so we sat still in same area but another room and the waitress was not happy with us stilling there as she said it was set up for dinner. We had no where else to eat, as it was cold out on the deck,there should have been clear signs were to eat and for overflow too.

Our usual stay in the highlands was unavailable and after last night, we will likely not return there. Wonderful welcome with an upgrade and the room was exceptional. Recently renovated, it was perfect for a night following a long drive. Booked for dinner and the table was located near the fire and we had ample time to share a drink with friends before a longish and very enjoyable dinner. The bed was very comfortable, the room was warm and the bathroom was very well appointed and clean. Will definitely stay again because of the atmosphere and hospitality

Old fashioned charm, the renovated room we had was lovely. Big comfortable bed with L nice linen. Pillow choice too. Food was well priced and delicious both for breakfast and dinner. Nice selection of wine too. Staff were accommodating and friendly. We are not golfers but loved the outlook of the course.

No full length mirror in room. A soap dish or liquid soap would have been nice in bathroom sink. A little desk or table in our room 18 would have been good.

An older property with much character, situated on the Moss Vale Golf Course. The people were very friendly, from reception to the restaurant staff. We had dinner at the restaurant and the meals were excellent, exceeding our expectations. We had booked - unbeknownst - a pre-renovated room, and were offered an upgrade to a newly renovated room at a small fee. We had a lovely pre-breakfast walk around the golf course, taking care not to impact early bird golfers.

The room was somewhat cool, with temperatures around zero overnight and the aircon not quite coping. That said, there were enough blankets to sleep cozy. Some parts of the old building showed its age, but it didn't negatively impact our experience.

We were staying at Dormie to celebrate my 90th birthday with a special lunch for family and friends The roast lamb lunch was fantastic and the staff were just so lovely and accommodating Everyone commented on how good was the meal A lot of us stayed the weekend and enjoyed dinner together then a yummy breakfast the next morning Then some golf finished off by lunch on the lovely deck - A great weekend Thank you Dormie

The property was lovely and well kept. Check in and check out was easy. The family room was lovely, comfortable and met our needs. Beds were comfortable. Room at great view over the golf course.

We were not informed about our options for meals. There wasn’t any bath mats or hand towels and the bathroom floor got so wet. We discovered that the drain was blocked and the shower was overflowing. There was a large group there who were very very noisy early on the morning.

I liked the ambiance - walk into Dormie House and you go back in time, to a more comfortable and relaxed age. One might say that it is idiosyncratic - but it is not chrome and plastic and efficient processing, as if one's a battery hen. The wood panelling is marvellous, and entirely fitting for the location. None of that should suggest that DH isn't modern in all the essentials. Staff were very helpful, and the food was very good.

The stairs. But I have a metal knee, so that's not the fault of Dormie House. Anyway, there's no obvious place to install a lift, and it would disfigure the building.

Great location for the event I was travelling for. Comfortable room. Delicious breakfast available on site.

There were no negatives that I experienced. One suggestion would be to provide a different type of blind, so that you can let light in without the golfers seeing in. The view was beautiful, but the blind had to be kept closed for privacy.
