Though we only stayed for one day bc of time constraints, it was the most pleasant experience ever and one of my favorite hotels in this US PWC trip. The room was large, clean, and had a homey feeling to it, the washroom was one of if not the best one we encountered on this trip compared to hotels of similar or even higher prices. No seriously, how is it so hard to find a sink with smooth plumbing and a shower with comfortable water pressure? This place though completely blew me away with the functionality of its facilities, AND it’s so pretty! The cottages look like they walked right out of a fairytale. What’s more? The owner (I assume) is the kindest, sweetest man EVER. Check-in was so easy, he offered to take photos for us, we were able to park the car at the hotel during the day after checkout for free to visit San Juan (totally worth it btw), AND when the ferry back was delayed for 2h he let us use the hotel’s publish washroom for free minutes before the front desk closes (we got there at 9:24 PM and they close at 9:30). If I ever visit Anacortes again, which I think is a lovely little town worth a visit on its own, I will DEFINITELY choose this inn. There’s legitimately nothing to complain about and we are SO grateful for everything we’ve experienced at this hotel! P.S. We are traveling with a LOT of electronics; and this is the first time in the US that we’re able to charge them all at the same time within one room. The amount of electrical outlets in this one room is UNCANNY. Like they’re literally everywhere and all worked perfectly. Place also came with an entire functional kitchen that we sadly didn’t get to use due to time. Honestly for this price??? Can you get anything better??? I think not.

Maybe the breakfast options were a bit limited? But it’s also not bad at all and not a dealbreaker for us.

We loved the quiet end unit location of our room on the garden level with patio and view of the water. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Our room had the spa tub which was a welcome treat after a long day of air and car travel. The variety of breakfast items was just right and, of course, the location of the hotel next to the ferry terminal was ideal for our arrival time for transit to Friday Harbor the next morning. We would definitely choose Ship Harbor Inn for a future stay.

We have no complaints about this hotel. Our experience reflected our expectations based upon the hotel’s website photos and description. If you want a more of a cookie cutter Hyatt or Hilton-like stay, then this hotel may not be for you. It is definitely locally owned and operated, which we preferred, and liked very much.

The view! It was a very very peaceful place to stay. It was at the end of a major road to the island ferry, but it doesn't run at night so no noise or traffic from it. The lawns and outdoor patio and furniture were great to have to enjoy the water view. I would stay again.

Access is easy to notice in the day time but creeped up on us at night, making for a sharp turn into the grounds. Also, the web site advertises a nice coffee bar with lattes and the like, but it was not in operation in the lobby. That was disappointing since it is a long way from town. Fortunately, Anacortes is chock full of coffee shops and full breakfast restaurants, since the buffet breakfast was not that great either. Still, it would have been nice to have a good coffee on the outdoor deck in the morning.

Breakfast was perfectly adequate, Continental as advertised. Our room was cozy, bed was very comfortable, bathroom nice & shiny clean. Carpet Could have used a vacuum but it was not dirty. Loved the character of the Inn and views of the Harbor. Walked onto Sunday am ferry so it was Very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

TV didn’t work but we learned in the morning It was a ‘local’ problem not a hotel problem. Apparently evening clerk didn’t know that. Would be nice if Lobby had a few beer selections As well as wine, ended up walking down to ferry Terminal to get a beer 🙄

This is a cozy and beautiful property in general. Nice grounds and views of the water (and ferry terminal). Bonus: the deer on the property are comfortable enough with humans that they don't scatter when you walk by on your way to breakfast. Breakfast was simple but just what I needed to get me through a morning of meetings.

Wifi cut out briefly now and then but when it reconnected it was a strong signal.

We always stay at this location the night before taking the ferry to the San Juans. It is a lovely, quiet location. You will probably see deer or an owl on the motel grounds. Our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is very pleasant though we always take our breakfast to our room where there is a little table with chairs and a microwave to reheat coffee. We consider our stay here and our dinner in Anacortes to be a part of our trip to the San Juans.

The downstairs rooms have patios opening to the back grounds and a view of the ferries; however, we have at times (like this latest visit) been annoyed by people upstairs walking back and forth forever. This can happen in any motel. It's a personal choice to be upstairs or downstairs.

Loved the view, we had a patio view facing the water, enjoyed our walk down to the ferry area. The taxis into town was not super expensive….. enjoyed the coffee in our room. I am not a big wine drinker, but I thought the wine offerings in the lobby was a nice touch…

We had the worst shower ever. Spent more time out of shower than in. Could not adjust the temperature, the squeeze handle does not work for older people…. There was a bulb in the bathroom that flickered, Breakfast was OK, not real diabetic friendly, waffle maker took two times to cook waffle, the day of check out was rough as they were resealing the drive, so we never got to check out. The smell was horrible…

We changed rooms at the last minute because our daughter joined us, to a 2-bedroom suite with living/dining/kitchen and two full baths. The unit was clean and spacious. The staff person was helpful in making this change. The view from the unit was quite special! Although the unit was in between the breakfast room and gym for the inn, it felt private and quiet. The unit was well below the main road so there was no road noise.

The A/C for the unit took a long time to be effective, so it was a bit warm for a few hours at night. The unit did not have a 'private' balcony or porch due to where it was situated in the middle of a large building of the complex. Although still in fairly good condition, the furnishings and decor of the unit were a little dated. No paper towels or hand towel were provided in the kitchen.

Room was clean and comfortable. The facility is well taken care of and we had the pleasure of having mascot deer hanging around the grounds, which was a tweet. There was a large Doe that could be seen leisurely lying above the main driveway. And a smaller doe that enjoyed eating some of the flowers in front of the rooms. Allowing for many photos.

The breakfast is a continental breakfast. Very limited, but still offers a quick snack before hitting the road.

The location is perfect if you're visiting Anacortes, the rest of Fidalgo/Whidbey Islands, or the Orcas Islands. The view of the water and islands is jaw dropping, and thanks to the way the rooms are laid out they all look in that direction. The buildings are attractive, and the grounds are well kept.

Breakfast is a generic semi-continental and could be better for the price. Only reason it's not a 10/10.
