Lux definitely knows how to spoil their guests- we went there as part of our honeymoon trip and we got spoils all along our stay. The room was very clean and gifts were waiting for us right as we came. The beach was the best one we have been to on our 2-weeks stay and all the food we’ve had was great.

The food at the hotel is about 2 to 3 times the price of outside restaurants. The only reason this hotel didn’t score the maximum is because of the 25,000 MUR deposit you have to give at the beginning of your stay- we found it a bit weird as from the 5 hotels we stayed at, it was the only one requiring that.

Incredible staff who do their utmost to make your stay as memorable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is run seemlessly and the place is spotless. We enjoyed a junior ocean view suite which was well furnished with everything you could require and we had a very relaxing stay for our ruby wedding anniversary. Manie organised a very romantic dinner at the gazebo by the pool which was absolutely incredible, plus their photographer was on hand to take a few shots for us. The restaurant staff (Alain) were very kind in assisting with foods suitable for my husband who is a diabetic and Hurvind even took the trouble to bring in Moringo leaves from his own garden to provide a 'tea' to reduce sugar levels which to our surprise actually worked. He then provided us with a vacuum pack to take home. We feel we left having made real friends and would love to return at some stage. The hotel has also recently opened a Japanase restarurant, Kawaii which we thoroughly recommend having lived in Tokyo for a few years. It is an eight or twelve taster dinner which is absolutely delicious. The hotel is situated in a really good area for visiting local attractions by hire car and there is some excellent hiking to he had at the local parks. Do yourself a favour and visit this hotel!

-Hotel, pools and beach are stunning - literally the most beautiful place I have ever been -Manicured grounds and beach - all kept immaculate -Staff are very friendly and polite -Breakfast buffet was 10/10 - great options -Water sports were great and easy to access -Loved the fire show- highly recommend. -you can buy fresh coconuts on the beach

- Buffet dinner did not meet expectations and there were limited veggie options unless you wanted fruit, bread rolls and pasta. -Cocktails were small and not 5 star standard. They were served in small plastic cups. Would be understandable if you were on the all inclusive package but they are definitely not worth paying for otherwise. -Hotel taxis are wayyyyyy more expensive than other transfers etc.

Pools. Excellent, helpful and friendly staff. Great buffet with extensive variety. The room. Very comfortable bed. Bar service on the beach at the sun loungers.

Room located close to main road. Could hear the traffic. One room smelled a bit of sewage... The pools were cold; would be great if they were heated.

We spent our honeymoon at Lux Le Morne, and it was an unforgettable experience! The resort is perfectly located, with a stunning beach. The food was outstanding, and every meal exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Justine, who went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and found a way to make sure we didn’t miss out on an activity that was very important to us. We’re also very grateful to the talented bartenders, Harvin and Arvin, for their excellent service, and to Chef Marc at the Japanese restaurant for an exceptional dining experience not to miss out!!

We had the all-inclusive package, and while everything was great, we noticed that we had to sign a bill each time. To make the experience even smoother, perhaps introducing an electronic bracelet system could help the process.

Overall amazing stay. Great location. All-inclusive package was good. Staff were very friendly. Courtesy rooms were provided for us to shower and change since we arrived a few hours before check-in time. Lots of activities to do during the day, including paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis, etc.

Not clear on what was included in the all-inclusive package. Some staff sometimes weren't sure either and had to check, or give conflicting information. Food was a hit and miss. Cocktails were mediocre. You have to sign a bill for every single drink, rather than 1 signature for the whole order at the end, which is a minor inconvenience. Gym and swimming pool hours could have been better - both close at 8, which leaves very little to do in the evening. Same for tennis, ping pong, etc. Beach rooms lacked privacy.

Incredible location. (Although not within walking distance to bars/restaurants you have everything you need at Lux and can still see Mauritius by doing one of the many incredible trips). Spotlessly clean. Special staff, who treat you like royalty. We stayed for two weeks and were not bored of the food.. amazing! All of the special touches. They truly think of everything and have created a magical hotel.

Not so much a dislike but a heads up, if you are not all inclusive (we were half board), lunch and drinks are expensive. Taxis booked via the hotel were expensive. We booked independently for a fraction of the price.

We went for the all inclusive package and the food was really good (we had low expectations of buffet food and have not previously enjoyed all inclusive places). It was also better value than paying as you went along (even though I don’t drink alcohol). The service was smiley but not in your face. Occasional live music was pleasant. Overall the atmosphere was just very relaxed. The pools were nice although we mainly stayed on the beach. One of the pools is heated. You can snorkel straight from the beach - not the most amazing but a lot less faff than getting on a boat. My husband snorkelled for about an hour every day. First time a hotel bed has actually been more comfortable than my own! Bring beach shoes - beach is sandy but lots of coral at the edge as you go into the water.

Wouldn’t recommend paying for the limo transfer. It was double the price of a taxi arranged by the hotel but we decided to treat ourselves. After a 12 hour flight the last thing you want is an hour of hard sell about all the possible tours you could do with the driver. The pubic taxi we took back (booked by the hotel for us) was clean and perfectly comfortable.

We were at the hotel for our honeymoon and it was an amazing stay! First of all, the staff was genuinely friendly and accommodating us so well, a big thank you once again especially to Paul at the beach/ilot pool who was so nice to us, very professional and kind, he made our experience even better and makes us want to come back ! A big thank you to Jason as well at the reception, so helpful and friendly, and also Manie and her team from the celebration corner, the dinner at the tree house was a special moment we will not forget. The facilities are so beautiful and the beach is probably the best of the island in our opinion (amazing sunset!) The hotel provides guests a lot of activities and events which makes the venue always entertaining, very well thought to connect the hotel to an app on the phone where we could book the activities we wanted. Yoga classes are really good with a great teacher ! The food is very good, especially for the breakfast. The hotel is really thinking of his guests, we always got little attention up till the last day where you can get a little bag to put your wet clothes before going to the airport so you can enjoy a last swim ! It makes you feel welcome and at home and that is amazing. The blue pillows at the beach are a very cool idea too !

Prices for alcohol is extremely high and that's a shame because the bar venue is so nice with live music every night but 20/25eur for 1 drink is expensive and thus we cannot do this every night. Same for a bottle of wine, the "cheaper" wines options (circ 50eur which is expensive already) are not necessarily the greatest wines for that price so that is also a shame. We were on half board which is worth it although on certain nights you cannot go to the other restaurants venues unless you pay extra.

Driver Iqbal, Bianca, and two of the barmen whose names I've forgotten were great in particular. Staff in general were very friendly and were helpful as best as they could. Very efficient service all around. If you're there to relax only 1000% the place to be but there's no real vibe at the resort but probably by design. I would recommend it 100% but would just inform others about the cons to manage expectations. Service, second to none, great sea views and clean. Absolutely stunning views.

Being an English speaker, there were some communication barriers, very few but I did wish they communicated more clearer about the dress code for not included restaurants. The food at the all inclusive restaurant really lacked seasoning / salt on all meals we had that weekend. There's a variety of options for food giving you a great variety but the food wasn't a highlight at all at the resort - we had better food at a local family owned restaurant in one of the smaller towns outside of the resort.
