The residence is located in a quiet neigbhorhood near Moncloa bus station. There are a few bars and restaurants on the same street. The bus stop is round the corner. Temple de Debod and Plaza de España are within a walking distance. The residence was clean. The breakfast was simple but you can choose from various options. The staff was very nice. You can also leave your luggage at the reception.

The rooms were very useful even if they were tiny, even if they had a shared bathroom, the bathrooms were clean and I didn’t have any problems using them and I didn’t have a situation like waiting in line. Due to its location, it was 40-50 minutes walking distance to the center, but you can easily go to and from the center by bus number 74 and return back.

The walls of the room are thin, so you can hear what’s going on in your next room comfortably and they can hear you too 😅.

The location was great. Heart of the city (7 mins walk to the Metro station), accessible to shops but still a quiet area, perfect for tourists who want to wind down after a busy day. The staff was accommodating and very kind! Very patient in answering questions, and even provided extra toiletries. The room was spacious and had all the amenities you need. Will definitely come back to stay here on my next trip to Madrid! Highly recommend.

Wonderful location. Very easy to reach and well connected to the whole city. Very clean room/bathrooms. Even if sadly no one in the staff spoke English they were very kind!

The rooms practically have paper walls so you hear every single thing from the other rooms and corridor, and the air conditioning is general for the whole corridor, you can’t control your own room. Which for me was hard because I was freezing on some nights. The breakfast is a bit poor, not really many options and no variety. But when asked they had vegan milks available so that was a plus!

it was my first visit to Madrid and I am delighted with the city and the hotel staff who helped me with everything I needed I really liked that they greeted me with a smile, took me to my room, showed me where the restaurant was, and also explained how to get to the train station for free. Comfortable beds, clean bedding, comfortable temperature in the room, and enough bathrooms for all rooms. I definitely recommend this hotel! Thank you very much for the pleasant experience and special thanks to the staff for their support of my country :)

Everything was fine, just a small suggestion to put some hair dryers in the bathrooms.

The room was clean and optimal for the price. The staff were very nice and helpful. Good location, right next to a beautiful park, with metro and bus stations close. The area looks like an upper middle class residential area, the bars were filled with locals, so it's great if you want to avoid the crowd and touristic places.

The common bathroom was the weak point. It was acceptable and usable but, taking the room as an example, it could have been a lot cleaner. The breakfast could have been a little more versatile, with vegetables maybe, but it was okay for a few days and it was good quality food.

-I love this place. I highly recommend it. It is head and shoulder's above any other economical lodging. The room is well equipped with a sink, lights, bed, drawers underneath the bed, closet with hangers, bookstand, desk and night stand. The facilities are kept sparkling clean.

I now know the difference between Basic and Standard room. The basic tends to have have a controller for the AC while the Standard does not so you can't control it as much. If you get basic, the room is small and while I don't have an issue with the size, the configuration of the room may not accommodate all the items it is equipped with so you might end up with a room cramped with items which makes it hard to maneuver in it, Last time I was in the basic room, I found the mattress also to be better.

I stayed here on my first ever solo international trip. I was a little nervous, but the staff were so lovely and kind, I felt really safe as a solo female traveller, which I feel is hard to come by. I cannot stress how welcomed I felt and how comfortable the atmosphere is there. Also they spoke english with me which is greatly appreciated because my spanish is okay but not great. There are more than enough bathrooms on each floor if you are sharing them. The bed was comfy, and the room was clean.

The hostel is located close to a beautiful park, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very kind and smiling (greetings to Jorge and also another young guy who checked me in), the breakfast is nice. I had a late flight back home and could store my luggage in the reception without any problem. Big plus for that. Overall a great experience for someone who is looking for a stay in a calm and good environment.

RESIDENCIA ABAY - a great place for the price and stay. The staff were wonderful. It was my second stay here. If the weather in Madrid wouldn't have been 40 degrees C, it was too hot to walk around the area, but the Moncloa metro station is about a 7-10 minute walk away. Your basic needs are covered here! I recommended my friend who will be visiting Madrid to book here!
