Modern hostel with clean rooms and nice facilities on the ground floor (small kitchen and sitting area). The location is its best selling point. In the middle of the kitchen district of Kappabashi and within walking distance of Asakusa (10min) or Ueno (20min). Even though you're staying so close to everything the area is quite.

The walls are thin so you can hear quite some sounds from the hallway and other guests. They have a quite time policy, so the nuisance was kept to a minimum.

The location is very convenient, kombinis and stores are very close, Senso-ji is 15min away and Ueno 25min. The reception is very nice and there are several good public transportation routes nearby.

Please keep in mind, that the room is pretty narrow and it's a bit hard to store/use big suitcases inside.

&AND Hostel provides really good value for money for a trip in Tokyo, especially for people who plan to spend as much time out and about as possible. Our private room was quite compact, but it still had pretty much everything you'd want in your room. Because of the small size you wouldn't maybe want to spend much time in the room, but this was all good for us since we wanted to use it basically just for sleeping. Asakusa is also very nice location, since it's close to Ginza metro line and Ueno station, but also is a bit more calm and quiet than Tokyo in general, outside of the few more touristy spots in there. The staff is very nice and accommodating too!

Only thing we could've used a bit more of would've been space to hang your clothes + towels, sometimes it got tricky when we had clothes drying in the room.

It was a pleasant and surprisingly quiet stay (everyone very respectful of their noise level when entering and exiting). They have complimentary toothbrushes, disposable cups, earplugs if you need. However, laundry can be a little tricky as you will need 2 hours to wash and dry your clothes if you plan on using their combo washer-dryer units. Room size is tight but enough space to fit 2 people on the bed (6'2" and 5'2" couple), we chose a unit with our own compact, Japanese-style fitted shower and bidet-toilet, and we were able to fit 2 duffel carry-ons, and a small check-in luggage (carry-on size) into our suite. Front desk staff all speak English well, and are super nice and helpful. They even let you leave your luggage at their desk if you let them know you will be arriving before check-in time. Very walkable and safe. Close to subway stations, 5-10 minute to the big Ueno station, and you will be in the Asakusa district, well-known for selling kitchen utensils and pottery goods (Kappabashi Kitchen Street), if you're into those.

One miss was the wall AC unit being temperamental: one moment it was be a quiet whir, and next moment it would have a loud, rumbling and gurgling noise. Maybe it was just our unit with this issue. Also, it would have been nicer if they had more wall hooks or shelves since the room is so small. We were running out of space hanging our damp clothes and towels in our room.

All the facilities were very clean. It’s a bit of a walk from Ueno station but it’s located in a quite neighborhood. There’s even a nice little park across the street. The bed was amazing. Firm, clean, and just what I needed after a long day in Tokyo. The shower and bathroom were extremely clean and free of mold. The property also has a nice common room with a kitchen. Great for cooking up something or chatting with the staff at night. The staff was also great. Very helpful, kind, and fun to talk with.

Everything was great. Hotels in Tokyo tend to be on the small side but my room was perfect. The shower is a bit small but it gets the job done. Nothing major to complain about.

The place is absolutely perfect if you're looking for an affordable, clean, well presented space to stay. The employees are wonderful, the location isn't in the heart of everything but it doesn't need to be. There's easy access to direct metro lines or a 20 minute walk to Ueno Station, which will get you anywhere. The local area felt very safe and calm. It was honestly a perfect place and would happily stay there again.

There was nothing we didn’t like. The service this hostel provides for the amount they charge is brilliant. If you're looking for a 5* hotel, then look elsewhere. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this place

Friendly staff that always greet you when you come and go. Easy to talk to them. The laundry machine is pretty easy to use. Close to kappabashi (kitchen town) and asakusa area, which is wonderful. The room is good for a solo traveler and having a toilet+ sink+shower & mini fridge & tv inside the room is convenient. I was able to open my luggage in my room ( I didn't have much space to walk about, but i can still move around the room).

Bringing a huge luggage was an issue for me due to the brick and gravel pathways. But i think if you use yamato or other luggage forwarding service, it shouldn't be an issue.

Located in a quiet neighborhood of Asakusa, it's a great base to visit Sensoji, Sumida Park, and Ueno. For your shopping need, Don Quijote Asakusa is 10 minutes of walk away, open 24/7, but expect huge queues. Although the room is a little cramped, I found the overall space sufficient for a solo traveller. There's a coin-operated laundry room on the ground floor, 500¥ per 2 hour wash and dry, with additional 100¥ for another 30-minute dry.

The air conditioner and fridge didn't quite work in my room, and the hostel doesn't offer luggage forwarding either. Rest assured, there's a Yamato service center a short walk away and the process is painless.

very clean, confortable beds, it is small apartment but very good for what it is offering. My boyfriend is tall (1.80) and he didn´t have any issues with sleeping. It was a very good value for money. For us location was ok, close to the metro (but we like to walk). The kitchen is shared and looked ok and clean

-washing machine you have to pay extra and drying is not working properly. We had to put the clothes 3 times to dry. I think they need to extend the drying time. - they don't have lockers, so you have to pay (I think was around 200 yen) per luggage so they can keep it at the reception. I think this is not fair, since in all the other hotels/hostels I have stayed In Japan..I never paid to keep my backpack at the reception (if there are no lockers this should not be charged in my opinion)

Room with its own bathroom for a very good price Free tea, coffee, wifi, shampoo, conditioner, body soap. Towels included. Use of kitchen area. Very quiet Near a supermarket. Near Tawaramachi metro station so easy to get to. Close to Asakusa station for direct train to Haneda. Worry mentioning as Google maps did not work either of these things out!

The left hand washer dryer didn't seem to be drying properly. Put clothes in for two hours and my clothes still didn't dry fully. The staff refunded the money after the first hour though. I'm sure it will be fixed though. Did the washing part ok. There is a launderette around the corner in any case.
