Beautiful apartment with sea view, very nicely decorated, equipped with all modern appliances

This is one of the best locations in all of Ortigia. The rooms have breathtaking views of the waterfront, are spacious, with A/C, and a nice, big bathroom. Our family of 3 had plenty of room, with one king bed and one sofa bed (which were both very comfortable). While the price per night might be a bit more than other places, it is completely worth it for the views and location. It will be a place I will remember for years to come and made our time in Ortigia that much more memorable. The staff were extremely helpful, especially after our flight to Catania was delayed significantly and our arrival time to hotel was late into the night. We communicated well over Whatsapp and the team was extremely responsive and caring. Don't hesitate to book here, it is a wonderful place!

The apartments are located in a beautiful spot with fantastic views beside the water. Very close to restaurants and bars. The complementary, stocked fridge with sparkling and still water, juices, milk and sparkling wine very nice touch. Also tea and coffee pods supplied. Barbara and staff always very helpful and friendly. A big thank you to Barbara for helping with our luggage, as parking restrictions mean that it's not possible to park anywhere close to the apartment. Lovely terrace. Very hot during the day/evening so the parasol very welcome but cable ties had been attached to the supporting structure of the parasol, it looked as if they were holding the lower section together. Not sure if this was the reason that we couldn't angle the parasol to provide proper shade, it was a shame, as we didn't get to take advantage of the terrace. Also, the parasol could benefit from a bit of a clean.

No fault of Palazzo Alfeo, but during our stay, there was a bar/ nightclub close by which had loud, thumping music playing very late. As previously mentioned, we didn't really get to fully enjoy the terrace.

We loved the location, beautiful outlook, easy to walk around the island. The staff were very friendly, helpful and communicated easily with us via WhatsApp in English which was appreciated. The apartment was spacious and clean, with no noise in the night.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to have warm water showers during our 3 night stay. We must have just been unlucky in the times we were wanting to shower, the warm water had run out. This was the only thing that was a little uncomfortable for us. However this certainly wasn’t a deal breaker given the hot summer days we were having and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this apartment again!

The aparthotel is located probably in the most beautiful spot in Syracuse. The view from the windows is breathtaking. The apartments are well fitted and with all comforts- all areas have air conditioning. There is a small kitchen which is useful to prepare breakfast or a simple meal. The beds are comfortable- including the sofa bed- and the bathroom has a good size. The shower could have been bigger and more modern but had good water pressure. They clean every day - which wasn't entire clear from the booking website- and provide plenty of towels.

There is no lift- normal as it is an old palazzo- but there is also nobody to help with the luggage. In this sense it's indeed more of a serviced apartment than a hotel. The worse is the parking. As you cannot park on Ortigia the aparthotel staff will suggest a valet service which was an absolute disaster. They made us pay the full sum as soon as arriving and then on the day of departure showed up more than 45 minutes late meaning we almost lost our flight- no compensation and no excuses from the parking company. Absolutely not recommendable- if possible look for an alternative.

The location of this property is everything! I enjoyed the most incredible sunset right from the terrace outside our apartment. The property is just along from some lovely bars to enjoy an aperitif too! Inside the apartment was well equipped and comfortable. All the staff are fantastic and so friendly. Barbara was amazing and so helpful during our stay. Would definitely return here again.

No washing machine at the moment, however I believe that the apartments are going to be renovated soon to include washing machine facilities.

Everything was absolutely perfect. I was given the top floor room overlooking the sea. And my own private terrace with hot tub!!Gorgeous building, my room was heavenly. Immaculate and so comfortable. Modern amenities and AMAZING hospitality by Ilse and her team. Housekeeping staff did a wonderful job every day. Location is the BEST near everything within less that a 5-10 minute walk. I would recommend this property to everyone. Loved Ortigia and this aparthotel made my stay even better. This is simply the perfect place in every way. Thank you Ilse for making everything so special.

I have nothing negative at all to say.

The location was amazing, sunset views from the large terrace. It was very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. People walking past are jealous and enquire about it all the time, it’s that special.

The apartment smelt of damp quite bad when we arrived. The staff provided plug in fresheners and a dehumidifier as the apartment is in an old building I think this is a problem with the structure. The staff were really understanding and helpful but needed to have been dealt with before our arrival as once they provided the plugs and dehumidifier it really helped. The shower doesn’t drain well, probably another symptom of the old building but it leaked onto the bathroom floor. Staff are aware and tried to resolve it but it carried on. Despite both these things I would definitely stay here again, it’s a beautiful apartment with an enviable terrace and amazing views.

Beautifully positioned on the tip of Ortigia, looking out across the bay with gorgeous view of the sunset each evening from the apartment, this was a fantastic place to stay. The main room was spacious and designed in a modern elegance style. The fully equipped, cleverly designed compact kitchen, could be closed off if needed, and the whole apartment was comfortable, air conditioned, and a great place to explore from. With restaurants and bars just below, it felt quiet, yet vibrant, also. It was easy to drop off our bags, after good communication and advice from hosts, re where to stop off for this. The hosts also do offer a valet parking service but after dropping off our bags, we parked easily in the main public parking near the bridge 20 mins walk away.

We stayed at the weekend for 2 nights and there was music until 1am, which didn't really bother us, but if you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring your ear plugs.

This apartment is beautiful and has stunning views over the sea! The photos of the property don’t do it justice as it’s modern, completely updated, with high quality windows, fixtures and bathroom. The balcony is very large with a jacuzzi and shower. The location is on a pedestrian path, so no noisy cars going by. Our apartment was quiet for good sleep and also in a wonderful location for restaurants and nice bars. The staff was super responsive and helped us with taxis, tours, restaurants. I give this a 5 star rating. One of the best places you can choose in Ortigia!
