The lady at the reception was extremely nice and helpful, let me check in at 10:30AM. The room was large and comfortable. The surrounding is quiet.

The hotel does not serve breakfast, and there is no nearby grocery store. The streets to the university are not lit during night and do not have sidewalks, which is a problem when walking back from the university after sunset.

Location: Across the street from a neat shopping plaza of sorts --- shops, restaurants, coffee shops, a superb tea service place (...though they all close early...), and the best of all, the harbor and the beach. Because it's not exactly a tourist trap, the lovely neighborhood is very quite, great for a relaxing getaway. (At least it was in early March when it was still cold). The locals are very amiable, friendly folks. Staff: Absolutely courteous, knowledgable and personable.

What we did not like: The in-house bar / restaurant was closed when we stayed there.

the inn is lovely, quaint. I was thrilled to stay there rather than a chain hotel. the grounds are pleasant, near the water and a little shopping area. very clean and hospitable.

well, it is off-season which is likely why it was so economical, but it felt a bit abandoned. I would have loved there to have been coffee available at reception in the morning. only a little machine in the room, so you can make coffee, but only have powder creamer. The little “village” mall was two steps away though, so that was just a petty preference on my part.

The central placement right at the harbor and across from the commons filled with shopping food entertainment music and more. Local parks and nearby towns offer even more amenities and site seeing!

I did not realize when booking that there are no continental breakfasts or commissary amenities such as waters or snacks at the hotel front desk. lack or a room fridge or ice. The tv services were a little spotty and the room air conditioner had to be services to function. Mostly addressed by the staff in a timely manner!

The facilities and location were beautiful. There was a problem with the cable and we were not able to get TV service during our stay, but that was the only negative.

Lack of TV service. Normally that wouldn't have bothered me but there were events I wanted to watch live and wasn't able to.

me and my husband liked the area. We were able to take a walk through the town in the evening. It was very personable cute, and we liked that. You can see the weddings on the property from our room.

The only thing that I could say that we didn’t really like was it was hot and the air conditioner only blew out hot air and wasn’t able to blow out cold air so we open the window, but there wasn’t a screen. But it still worked out fine.

The place was gorgeous, and the staff went above and beyond in accommodating our needs. Well-appointed room and bathroom.

I was disappointed that there was no fridge in the room and that you need to bring your ice bucket to the front desk to get ice. There was a wedding in the hotel and it was very busy and I didn't want to bother the front desk for ice.

Three Village Inn is located in the small village of Stony Brook and it is a totally cute, relaxing getaway, nestled between a small beach, a marina & harbor, and an adorable shopping area in colonial style buildings all walking distances. The Inn only serves lunch & dinner but bar is open by noon with beautiful seating inside or outside, lovely staff, and for breakfast, walking distance in the beautiful shopping center is an adorable 50's-style diner/coffee shop called Crazy Beans that had amazing breakfast & coffee! The location of the Inn is lovely - right on the marina/harbor & you can walk across the street to the Kayak/paddleboard rental (the kayaking was gorgeous), Discovery wetlands boat tour & walk out to the right to the small beach or out to the left to the shopping center with beautiful shops & its a 7 minute Uber from the LIRR train to the hotel (plus there is an Avis & Budget car rental by the train if you want to rent a car). NOTE it is a bit of a wait sometimes for an Uber, so we arrived and walked to DJ's Clam shack, got lobster rolls while waiting 45 minutes for the Uber. (Did then use the same guy the rest of the visit so was easier to get rides after that). Also for a GORGEOUS evening, you can get an Uber/taxi from the Inn about 8 minute drive to the West Meadow beach right on the open LI Sound for the most stunning sunsets. Plus when the tide is lower you can walk out onto sandbars - the water was perfect. Go to the shopping area beforehand to the cheese store to get some treats and wine (or the very nice wine store next to that) and have a picnic at the West Meadow beach! Water shoes recommended because the beaches there are all stones/pebbles. Three Village Inn & Stony Brook are a great summer weekend getaway! Would totally visit again!

The room itself was a little tired, walls around the fireplace had paint chipping and the lighting was not great inside the cottage, felt a bit dark. But the room was clean, cozy and comfortable and when you step outside there is a beautiful view of the marina & harbor

The are was beautiful and clean and had a lot of things to see and places to eat.

Someone around our room kept smoking so the smell would get into the room constantly. Would've liked to have a small fridge/microwave in the room.

Charming location right next to the water and Stony Brook Village, quaint and charming, and we loved going to nearby Crazy Beans for coffee in the morning.

The rooms are smallish, and in the main inn there are steep stairs to the second floor.
