Everything about the property we loved! We stayed one night for my other half’s birthday. I messaged to see if it would be possible for balloons to be put in the room. They couldn’t have done enough! They sent me a list of everything that they provided! Even gave us a complimentary late check out! Which was lovely! Very quick replies from the hotel too! Rooms were beautiful! They even had a Dyson fan in the room which was perfect because it was quite warm that day! Hair dryer and straighteners were also provided in the room! The beds were very spacious and comfortable! Great location, just a short walk to the shops restaurants etc. Also it’s a 15 minute drive to Bowness on Windermere lake! Would definitely recommend Kotel Windermere !!!

Perfect location, to unwind for weekend. Going with dog as well out back closed off area for dog roam round. Going into property, all fresh smelling nice walking into the reception area. The art was a really good glow to go up and come out of the room. The rooms are really cosy, very clean, and also got a message to be able to check in early, which was a bonus. The location is perfect, being just a bit of a walk out the centre 10 min walk, but just out over road was a hidden gem of a pub really nice pub food so welcoming and couldn't of welcomed dog more to such good customer service.

Self check-in was super easy, the room was small but cozy and had a great vibe. Netflix on the TV was great, too! All the facilities were nice, and the room had everything I needed. Location was perfect, on a quiet street with a pub just on the other side of the road, a short walk to Windermere town centre, and walkable distance to Lake Windermere (but the bus stop was also really close if you’re not much of a walker). It was a little warm at night but the room had an electric fan so it wasn’t too much of a problem. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this place to others!

It was in a perfect location for both walking and getting in and out of the town , onsite parking The kitchen was equipped with all the necessities and a set of GHD straighteners and good hairdryer at a dressing table. The rooms were set out perfectly with plenty of space

I didn’t like the faux fur throws on the bed or the Occasional pillows , this is just MY ick and I think hotels should just remove them altogether , they harbour germs , saying that the staff were happy to remove them for me when I asked , so this is by no means a complaint about this hotel , just my opinion on throws and cushions

Check in was a breeze . It’s rather late at 3pm but I received email at 3.05pm with suite number and entry code which allowed us to access our lovely room straight away and was a breeze. Parking is also very easy and although we arrived early was able to leave the car and wander into Windermere (about a 5 minute walk ) Everything about the room was wonderful and exceptionally clean.

Check out is a very early 10.00 !! A window had been boarded up at the front , I don’t know if this was recent and being repaired but it looked unsightly and did not suit the aesthetic .

The single room was small but have all amenities needed , including a small desk fan. The room is a bit stuffy if fan is not switched on as the windows cannot be opened ( my room is on ground level) next to car park. Room was quiet though as I didn't hear the car sounds. The hotel is 20-min walk to Bowness where there are many restaurants and can cruise on Lake Windermere.

Hotel is 15-min walk from Windermere train station. So not so convenient for those travel by train. I see most other guests seem to drive and the hotel has quite a number of parking lots.

Great facilities in room. Bathroom is very compact but spacious enough not to feel suffocating. Beds were very comfortable, the room comes with a hair dryer and hair straightener for those who need it. Towels are provided, TV was great, and most beneficial of all, was that the room we had, had it's own WiFi, meaning you can stream content onto the TV and as it's a smart TV you could also log in to the streaming apps.

There isn't any AC, however don't let that put you off. Only noting this here as an FYI but with their Dyson bladeless fan, it was totally fine and we stayed on a very hot day. There were some lighting issues, however there was alternative means that resolved this like the ceiling LED lights. Might not be for all though.

Modern, well equipped, great sense of fashion and good taste, exactly what I look for, all the time, when I am travelling. Great location, too. Beautifully decorated, the heating was on when we arrived ( how amazing!). Nice people having booked it, as seen around, when walking in the garden.

All was just great! As I forgot the shower cap at home ( I normally have it with me), I would have so much liked to have found one in the bathroom. Maybe next time, for the next guests?! :)

The property and location are ideal! Plenty of space in the room with gorgeous surroundings. Close to the main town with enough distance between. Will definitely look to return!

The property itself was perfect however I would have expected the room to be fully serviced whereas we were only provided with fresh clean towels on the second day of our stay - the bins were not emptied and no toilet paper was provided. This however did not put us off the stay but would recommend this is reviewed for future guests.

There were thoughtful little details like dishwashing liquid, dish cloth, sponge etc. Also the checking in and checking out process was really fast and easy. They allowed us to store our suitcases in the office till we had to leave for the train station. when there were no taxis available, the manager , despite his busy schedule, kindly drove us to the station at no extra cost! Such kindness and hospitality is rare to find. Its location is ideal too - walking distance to the town centre and the Windermere lake and well connected to bus routes.
