The room is very neat and clean, exactly the same as you see in the photos. The beddings are comfortable. I really like the breakfast there, you can choose among three or four different meals. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, they helped to keep our suitcase after we check out, I really appreciate that.

The place is a little bit far away from the Windermere railway station (about 20 mins walk) and there is no shops nearby, we need to walk to either Windermere or Bowness for food. But there is a bus stop right outside, we can take 599 there.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The BnB itself was spotless, cosy, and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout. The breakfast was simply outstanding – fresh, delicious, and catered perfectly to our preferences. The location was ideal, and the hosts were full of helpful local tips, making our trip even more enjoyable. It’s clear they take great pride in what they do, and it truly shows. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly – a perfect getaway! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Friendly hosts Very clean , modern decor

Gorgeous property in an excellent location, right between Windermere (10 minute walk) and Bowness-on-Windermere (10-15 minute walk). Jane and Paul were wonderful welcoming hosts, always on hand to help and gave us lots of information on the local area including places to visit, eat and drink etc. Our room was lovely, very spacious and extremely clean with lots of special little touches such as a basket in the bathroom with various bits like make up wipes, cotton buds, a shower cap, flannels etc. and a hair dryer in one of the dressing table drawers. There was also a teddy bear on the bed when we arrived with a Kendal Mint Cake, which was also a very nice touch. We stayed in room 3 and the view out of the window was stunning. Additionally, the TV in our room had a DVD player and there was a shelf in the entrance hall full of DVDs to borrow which was very handy. As beautiful as the room was, the bed was definitely the highlight. Honestly, one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in. 10/10. The breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options. The full English and the waffle, both the maple syrup option and the fruit option were lovely. We also loved the cabinet that was stocked full of cereal, fruit, yogurts, pastries, juice etc. Jane and Paul were brilliant at breakfast. Very attentive. We are picky eaters and they kindly adapted our breakfasts to our liking. We also loved the convenience of having the breakfast menu in the room to browse and texting our order and the time we wanted to eat, the night before, so there were no long waits at breakfast. Overall we had a fantastic stay and will definitely book again when we next visit the Lake District. Thank you for a fantastic few days :)

During my stay, I had the pleasure of experiencing the warm hospitality of the hosts, a lovely couple. Their dedication to cleanliness was evident throughout the accommodation, creating a comforting and cozy environment. The room was tastefully decorated, exuding a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the breakfast provided was not only delicious but also a delightful start to the day. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to fellow travelers.

I had the pleasure of staying at a fantastic location. The room I stayed in was not only aesthetically pleasing but also immaculately clean, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. To top it off, the breakfast provided was nothing short of awesome. It was a truly delightful experience that I won't forget.

In all honesty, I couldn't find anything that needed improvement during my stay. It was an outstanding experience in every aspect, and the hotel staff's attention to detail and guest satisfaction was truly commendable. This establishment exceeded my expectations in every way.

The building was in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the shops, the room was excellent and the facilities were better than expected, the breakfast was first class, already willing to book again for next year

The only downside was the wifi having a 30 minute time out, but it was in a good signal cellular area

Breakfast was delicious with top quality ingredients. Paul and Jane are very nice and offered us directions and local knowledge. Location is convenient for both Windermere and Bowness (it’s pretty much in the middle of both!). Bed was comfy.

Our room had a spacious private bathroom on another floor which we didn’t mind at all and were aware of, but just an FYI in case that doesn’t suit you! The only issue was that our room (on the top floor) got very hot with the sun/humidity. They do provide a fan, but if it’s very sunny and heat bothers you I’d recommend choosing a room on a lower floor.

The cottage was clean and close to where we wanted to be. Paul and Jane were welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely and homely! Lovely views from our room and only a 10 minute walk to bowness-on-windermere. Stayed 2 nights and we had breakfast which was lovely on the morning

What a lovely gem of a place this is!! Comfortable, clean and an amazing breakfast! Very handy for Windermere and Bowness. Jane and Paul were just the nicest people, I even got a card for my birthday! Thank you so much, we will definitely stay here again when we are next in the area, we loved it.

Owners live in the guesthouse which is a huge bonus for travelers as they are on hand to provide advice on local eateries, tours etc Also had a huge range of local tour info. Very friendly host. Definitely beats the absentee landlord!
