I had an absolutely amazing stay at this guest house! It was a smooth check-in, and this continued for the rest of our stay. Although we did not see the host, i felt completely at home. The room was cosy, clean, and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful little touches that made a big difference—like the decor, soft linens, and a welcome snack. I also appreciated how quiet and peaceful the property was, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The property had a feel of being tucked away enough to feel private but close enough to walk to local shops, cafes, and sights. This stay exceeded my expectations in every way. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and unforgettable experience. Truly a gem!

The only thing I would like to mention was the fact that the toilet seat was not secure and the shower water was very weak. With that said, both the aforementioned points are easily adjustable. 😊

The room is well designed and attractively decorated with a homely touch like it's my own room.Even though Invergarry is a self check in, room only accommodation check-in process was very easy and smooth.And from the moment we checked in we felt warmly welcomed while securing our freedom and privacy.Host was very friendly and had kept us a home made sweet treat which we never met during our visits in UK.Reccomend for solo travelers and also couples travelling both for leisure and work.And the price was very reasonable. Location was perfect around 10 minutes walk both for Windermere pier and town center.Will stay again.

We had an exceptional stay at Invergarry. It’s a beautiful and well-maintained property with lovely, welcoming hosts who made our experience truly comfortable. The location is peaceful yet easily accessible to all key spots around Windermere and Bowness, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the overall atmosphere was warm and homely. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake District. The house and room were incredibly cozy, capturing the "Lake District" vibe perfectly with its thoughtful decoration. Self-check-in was smooth and very convenient, and we especially loved the large window in our standard double room. Every facility worked well, and we were pleasantly surprised by the host’s thoughtful touches, like the homemade squash and cookies. The hosts were warm-hearted and highly responsive, replying quickly to our messages. We faced a minor issue with luggage storage, but they went out of their way to help, and everything was sorted out efficiently. Their support meant a lot to us and really enhanced our journey. Overall, the service and experience were well worth the price. :))

One small point of confusion: we noticed a sign in Mandarin beside the bathroom switch that said, "请在22:30点以后不使用淋浴," meaning "please avoid showering after 22:30." We checked all the information and terms provided in the check-in messages, but there was no mention of this rule. As a Mandarin speaker, it left me feeling singled out. If this message was intended for all guests, it would be helpful to include it in the check-in materials. If it’s only directed at Chinese guests, we hope this wasn’t done with unfriendly intentions, as our stay was otherwise fantastic.

the rooms were exceptionally clean; reasonable size bedroom and good size bathroom. Warm and dry; very comfortable bed and some useful information on most of the boards stuck to the walls. Kettle and tea bags etc very handy. Good location about half way between Bowness and Windermere station.

It's a converted house so sound insulation is not great. It didn't bother me at all (i generally sleep very soundly) but my companion is a light sleeper and got woken by people in the room next door and upstairs. I don't need the notice preaching about climate change.

Mrs.Victoria and Mr.Steve are very kind and warm hosts. The room was very comfortable and clean. They take care to personally message and check if anything more can be done to make the stay more comfortable.There are helpful links and leaflets beautifully arranged at the guest house ,enabling easier trip planning. The guest house is located in a convenient location . Ps:Also there is always cake very warmly placed everyday by your door ,a happy treat after a good hike!

The guest house was lovely and in a great location. The hosts were very kind and always checked in to see whether everything was ok and if we needed anything. Cosy room with everything you need for a weekend stay. Check in and check out were really easy and quick. Thank you. Would highly recommend.

The only improvement we would say is needed is the shower. The water flow was not that strong. Overall a great property though.

Good Location - midpoint to Bowness & Windermere. Friendly Staff , Nice Ground Coffee in room & option to replenish refreshments was very thoughtful. Bed was Clean & Comfy.

The Shower temperature didn't regulate itself at all. Constantly fluctuated from cold to hot every 10 seconds . Tried every setting & letting it run. Did inform owners. It was just about manageable for a quick shower , but not for washing hair etc. Doors on landings & skirting boards / paintwork need cleaning too.

The guesthouse was really well located, about halfway between Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere. Parking was plentiful and easy. We got a free upgrade on our room! The room was really clean and felt really personal, the beds were really comfy and we slept wonderfully. The room had everything we could need, and some really nice touches like fresh ground coffee and a cafetiere, homemade flapjack and free toiletries, and you could help yourself to replacement tea/coffee/toilet roll etc. Check in was really early at 11am which was great as most places are 3-4pm. The check-in process was easy and the hosts were really helpful and attentive. You can tell they put a lot of care, attention and effort into their business and it really shows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We have never stayed room only before and to be honest we loved it. Great location. The room was lovely, spacious enough to not think about it, great size en-suite shower room, warm, cozy and the most comfortable sitting chair ever! Abundance of local information available in the room and on the chalk board as you enter the front door. Will definitely return here soon. Was able to park outside.
