Loved that it was away from the hustle and bustle, parking for the property was handy. It was clean and cosy - Russell and Julie made you feel welcome and the breakfasts were great with lots of choice and all cooked fresh to order - nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money

There was nothing to dislike - the only thing for us would have been a lower floor room but there was only one room left when we booked and the room didn’t spoil our holiday and wouldn’t stop us staying there again

Arrived at the property and rang the number provided, was greeted by the host where we were allocated our key. We stayed in room 7 at the top of the property. The room was warm and very clean. Bathroom clean and the shower was great, nice and hot. Breakfast is available at a further cost but we didn't have any, but it did smell nice !! All in all we had a really great stay and I hope we can come back in the future

The owners were really friendly, great breakfast and although close to the village centre it was really quiet at night. Plenty of free parking on the street outside or the 4 dedicated parking spaces at the end of the street.

We were allocated an attic room which was fairly small with sloping ceilings due to being in the eves, so banged my head a couple of times. The bathroom although spotlessly clean was fairly compact. Having said that the price was fair when you take into account location and standard of property.

Very comfy bed with lovely white crisp bedding. Excellent pillows which mean a lot when you are away from home, Good tea a coffee making facilities, good clean bathroom and shower, The room was a little small and access to the small wardrobe was a bit tight, but it’s somewhere to sleep and have a good breakfast, Lovely cooked breakfast and Peter and Julie were excellent hosts. Couldn’t do enough for us, I asked for a ground floor room as I struggle with stairs and we got a ground floor room which made our 3day stay a lot easier, The Guest house is in a quiet area , a 10 minute walk down to Bowness a bit hilly , but manageable ,

The breakfast was lovely , the proprietor actually served the breakfast and what a really nice guy , very talkative and interested in his guests I think his daughter cooked the breakfast, it seems like a family business. The location was at the top of the town but is literally a 5 min walk up the hill .

Probably more attention to things running out in the room like , toilet roll , coffee tea milk sugar , tho I imagine if I had asked the second morning for more it would have been given to me .

Everything was lovely, the couple who run it Julie and Russell were very welcoming, room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was beautiful, last minute booking as our previous hotel was not as expected, we definitely made the best decision to rebook here it made our holiday to the lake district much better, close to pubs, restaurants and some shops, about a 10 minute walk of the lake, it was a really lovely stay.

The house was in a really good location as it was a 10 minute walk to the lake side and near to the shops. The Guest House had parking facilities reserved for guests only and you could park on the street outside with no restrictions. The room and communal area was very clean. In the room we had a mini fridge which was a great added extra we weren't expecting! Alongside a kettle, tea/coffee/sugar and a hair dryer. The room had drawers and hanging space for clothes, a dressing table, a good sized TV. The breakfast in the mornings was fantastic. The hosts were very friendly and chatty, which made you feel very comfortable and at home.

One small thing that was out of the owners hands is that in the attic room the beam in the middle of the room is quite low and as I am 5'11 I could just fit underneath but my boyfriend is 6'7 so had to duck. Not a complaint though as the beams add character to the house! We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, good location and the breakfast is superb.

Overall, there are no negatives about the property. Parking can be difficult. Although there is private parking just a short distance away, we had to park up the steep hill. So arrive early if you want one of the private spaces.

Location was absolutely amazing, just at the top of the hill leading down to all of the restaurants, bars, lake etc. also the parking was super, we had a designated parking space for our car. We have recommended this to everyone, and hoping my mam and dad will come and stay there soon if they can!
