The bar man ,tarl was a lovley guy ,he helped us with a little issue and was very pleasant at all times.The cleaning staff were also lovley and recommended which curry restaurant to go to ( we love curries ) The shower was nice and powerful the room was spacious enough and we could see a little bit of the lake.The bed was clean a d comfy ( we both have dodgy backs )short walk to bowness centre. The manager came straight over to fix our toilet and was soon sorted out ,he was also very friendly and helpful also giving us a complementary drink each for a very small issue . All in all it was a great stay for 2 nights an anniversary get away for me and my husband.Could have stayed longer.The price was also very good.We will hopefully be back to this cosy and friendly inn .Thankyou x

Great for a couple needing a fairly cheap place to stay for the night. Rooms are upstairs Pub is on the ground floor Restaurant is through the pub and downstairs Very friendly vibe already including the patrons of the pub People that served us were very friendly Got 10% off the bill when we ate and drank at their restaurant

Didn’t know where hotel entrance was right away as you check in at the pub bar and there were no instructions sent to explain prior to stay. A little too laid back to the point things got forgotten when we were at the restaurant and I ended up with a dressing that contained milk after saying that I was lactose intolerant. Quickly came and rectified but I have already began eating it. Luckily I don’t have extreme intolerance and could hand a couple of bites but had I had extreme intolerance that would have been different situation. Very loud in the evening as they have the pub below the rooms and they run karaoke. I had had a couple of Strongbows and tired from long drive so I was out like a light but if it were a family I don’t think they would have enjoyed the stay.

The location is fantastic. Checked in online and collected the key from the bar area. The barman was very pleasant and carried my bags upstairs. Gave me directions to the carpark and an attraction we wanted to visit. The room was large, and plenty of tea/coffee/chocolate was provided. We overlooked the road, and noise wasn't an issue for us. Decor a little tired, bedding and towels are clean as is the soft furnishings. The shower room is clean, and some toiletries are provided. There was no noise from the pub below. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Fantastic value for money. A great sized room for us and our dogs. The property had parking close by a short walk away on the same street. There was a fan in the room which was a great help in the heatwave we had. The bed was comfortable and the location is fabulous for exploring bowness and Windermere. It was great value for money compared to many others in the area.

The bathroom was a little rough around the edges and could definitely do with a refurb.

Staff were brilliant. Room was basic, but clean and comfortable.

Lack of car park

Friendly greeting on arrival . Extremely helpful ..nothing seemed too much trouble . I'd definitely stay there again and would recommend .Bus route outside the Inn. Easy walk to the lake Windermere All staff were cheery and helpful.

The Rooms were above the pub..with a separate entrance which was good. , but the pub didn't open until 2pm and was difficult to contact to leave luggage before access to room .

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the food served in the restaurant. We expected what is generally regarded as "pub grub" but this was not to be the case. It was excellent and what is more a 10% discount was given to hotel guests.

The room was comfortable and met our expectations but was a little tired (specifically the en-suite) is the best way to describe it. Only 2 hangers in the wardrobe and the body wash in the shower was empty. This should have been checked when the room was being prepared.

Incredibly clean room with a really nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. The owners were lovely and felt very welcome. Had to go to the pub downstairs to get the key which was absolutely no bother. Would stay there again!

I didn't mind, but as the room was over a pub, it could be a little bit noisy for some. Nothing too bad mind you, just some pub noise coming through. It didn't bother me at all, if anything I like it, but some might want to be aware.

Location couldn't have been better in between Windemere and Bowness. Room was spacious and dog friendly. The food in the restaurant was the best we have had for a long time with excellent service.

Breakfast would have been nice but we knew in advance that it was room only but there were plenty of places to pop out to for breakfast close by. We were worried about parking but a very small car park 100yds away was £19 for three days. Very limited spaces however so you may have to queue a while if you go out for the day.

The hotel was beautiful, spotlessly clean, lovely room, lovely bar. It's in a perfect spot for everything. Just a really lovely. quirky place to stay and I would definitley return.

The only one complaint we had was when we tried to use the shower on our second night the water was cold but it was 9pm and we presumed that the water had been used by all of the other rooms because we left it so late to take a shower. It didn't take the shine off our stay though whatsoever.
