We stayed in the cottage, a small little house on the back of the property. It’s peaceful, well kept, clean and comfortable.

The WiFi doesn’t really work in the cottage, so if you are planning to work it’s not the best place. The cottage is right next to the car park, it can get a bit noisy in the morning. Check out (10:30) was a bit early.

We had a lovely weekend away for my birthday. This is the 3rd time we’ve been to Westbourne and it was fantastic. We would never stay anywhere else when visiting Bowness on Windermere. The owners are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the cottage which was spotless. The bed is so comfy - and after a long walk, it was just what was needed, along with the fabulous jacuzzi bath. We have previously stayed in rooms in the main house which are also of the same standard as the cottage- just without the luxury of the jacuzzi bath. I am not a big fan of cooked breakfast and am very picky when I do have it. However the breakfast at Westbourne is of a high standard with high quality ingredients cooked perfectly. Goes without saying that we would highly recommend staying at The Westbourne when visiting Windermere. Perfect ⭐️

The staff there are very friendly. They always greeted us with bright smiles, that make us feel right at home. We forgot to close our car window, and one of the gentlemen kindly reminded us, thanks again. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. And service was great. It’s a great location, just about 10-minute walk to Bowness Pier and the town center. All in all, it was a delightful and very cost-effective stay in Bowness. We will definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Bowness. There’s an Asian food restaurant nearby run by a Vietnamese family. The food there is absolutely fabulous, and the staff are very friendly. It’s definitely worth a try.

The curtains don’t quite cover the entire window properly. The bed is a bit too soft, but considering the price, we really have nothing to complain about. It’s just a suggestion for improvement.

Great location, with a short walk to the lake. Private parking and a pleasant welcome on arrival. We stayed in the cottage located to the right hand side of the main building. The bed was very comfortable and the bath was big enough for 3 or two large people.

The universal remotes on the TVs wouldn’t open the Apps so was limited to free view channels. A radio or a docking station would be a good addition. Breakfast time was a little early and we skipped the breakfast which was available 8am-9am.

Great location. Very close to the pier and there were a lot of restaurants close by! It was very easy to find and we drove straight into the car park without any problems! We were surprised that we got an entire cottage not just a hotel room!

There were two floors for the cottage, the first floor was super hot and we cannot open the windows because outside the windows were full of bugs and spiders. However, this wasn’t bothering us too much as one of us preferred warm temperatures.

Excellent area for the shopping centre and down to the lake. Bed for me was comfy. Lots of storage space. Good parking. Peacefull Good tea tray, nice toiletries, fluffy towels . Polite host.

The room was cold when we booked in at 2, heating should really go on at 1.45 or earlier to take the chill off the room as we were both shivering, maybe a little heater in to keep warm when radiator is off. Shower pressure very weak so didn't bother using . Shoe tray outside room but if this is meant to be used disposable slippers should be left out as far to cold for just socks

The people who ran the hotel were really nice and pleasant, breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed our stay . If they decide that it might become a place were you can bring your dogs we woll definatley come back. I would recommend this hotel.

Our room was a little small for two of us with a fire exit in it. Having said that it was clean and new towel when we needed them and it was very clean so no to much to talk about.

Great location, about 100m from the main road through Bowness. The pictures provided don't really show how close the main street is. The marina is just a short walk down the main street also. Room was comfortable and clean. There was an opening window, which was appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice. Staff were very pleasant. Private parking was a bonus.

Nothing. We had a lovely 2 nights stay and enjoyed it. We would visit again.

Everything was great apart from the below. We ordered breakfast but slept through the time as it was a little too early for us. The cottage is beautiful lots of room, but wifi is poor. Free parking is great as I didn't need to worry about the car. Good location for bars resturants and the lake.

We unfortunately came across a very abusive guest. The man was staying in the room (with the large window) above the front door. We were waiting for the rest of our party outside at 915am, the man opened the window swore at us and slammed the window. We were out all day and night, so unfortunately didnt get to mention this to the staff/owners it did put a dampener on our stay.

Great location and accommodation. The new owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Overall, the property was well maintained. Also, great breakfast. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend. A little gem with adequate parking for all occupants.

Premises were slightly tired in places, but the new owners have plans to update in time. No complaints at all. .
