The hotel is beautiful and a great location to walk down to Windermere and the breakfast was great

We were very unlucky about the room we was situated within. We were in room 210 which is right next to the stairs so all night was kept up by noise of people going up and down the stairs or saying good night at the section our door was. It was so loud we could barely sleep as kept getting woken up. Also, there was two receptionists, the guy in particular came across very abrupt.

Good location with it not being too far from either the town or the lakeside. Modern public areas and lounge with a nice view over the hillside. Great breakfast location with a view. Value seems about right for the location and easily one of the nicest hotels we saw in the area.

Rooms need the same level of refurbishment that the public areas of the hotel have received. Bathroom was modern but damaged in places and overall the room felt a little tired. Our room in particular was facing the road under dark trees so we had to have all the lights on at all times of the day or it felt a little dingy. Breakfast location was great but food was only "warm enough" and felt like it was left on the buffet for most of the opening hours without heating.

Great location. Breakfast very good. All staff very friendly. Rooms nice and great shower. Able to leave car in carpark if going out for walk on last morning.

Room was really warm even though radiator wasn't on. Was fine though just had to have window open a bit. Not a complaint at all.

Beautiful hotel with great views from the lake view rooms ( there is a but ,see what we didnt like) . Very comfortable rooms with comfy bed and quality bedding. Nice options for levels of room servicing. 10 min minute walk to ferry's and 2or 3 minutes to resteraunts and pubs. Good parking facility.

A little expensive to be honest. Breakfast was exceptional but at over £17 pp it should be , if you only have cereal etc it's not worth it. Cooked breakfast lovely. We paid a fair bit more for lake view room, avoid room 202 if possible as lake not visible due to large oak tree ( might see lake in winter). However view was still beautiful. Bathroom small but good quality . Toilet very close to walls and radiator which might be a problem for taller or larger people.

The location , was excellent, the Breakfast choice was really good, and an excellent choice of hot and cold options, all the staff were very friendly which made it a very relaxed and enjoyable break. Car parking on site which is an added bonus, The room was really nice, a large comfy bed and the room had everything we needed, and we had a nice view over the lake , and with the weather been so good, it made our anniversary weekend extra special. We didn't use the bar , but the area was nice and comfortable relaxing space. we will definitely return , and fully recommend

The one down side , was the bed pillows , which were ok, but a little flat and not very comfortable, but only a minor issue.

We’ve been staying here over the past 13 years, never disappointed. It’s our first time since the refurbishment of lounges, dining room etc and it’s elevated the hotel to something resembling a boutique hotel. The staff were excellent again, particularly the gent from Wirral who served us our drinks on Thursday evening, a very sociable and engaging person who deserves special mention on this occasion. We’ll be back next year.

The only observation would be the lack of air circulation in the bedrooms, particularly on warmer days and nights.

This lovely hotel is in a quieter spot, only a short walk past several restaurants and small shops to the busy lake area of Bowness. It is so clean and contemporary with friendly, professional staff and has amazing views to the rear where the lake can be seen from some windows. Breakfast is absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options from the buffet. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was contemporary with a large walk-in shower. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

There was nothing we would change.
