The room was very clean and well supplied with whatever we needed. The guest house is really centrally located in Kendal, which makes it really easy to wander into town for dinner or if you need to visit a supermarket. The host was lovely - nothing was too much to ask of her and she remembered what we had for breakfast every day!

We were in a room at the top of the house, which was quite warm. Luckily, there was a really good fan in the room which helped cool it off. Other than that, there's really nothing at all that we could complain about!

The property was in a good location 15 minutes walk from Kendal town centre. The facilities at the B&B was of a high standard with some nice touches to maximise your comfort.

The room was a little small as was the bed if you use to King size. But these are just minor inconvenience for a couple of nights. The proprietor was very friendly and welcoming and allowed us to take up our room several hours before the official checkin time. Breakfast was made to order and was cooked beautifully and arrived hot. Would definitely stay at the Sonata Guess house again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Ideally located as a gateway to the Lakes. Inoka was very kind, considerate and accommodating to me during my trip, and was very forthcoming with giving advice on where to spend each day. The inclusion of a bath (with bath salts!) was very welcome and the breakfast was delicious and varied.

A fridge in the room would be a nice addition (but not essential).

Our stay was a last minute arrangement due to the rail strikes. Inoka couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Everything has been thought about, including water bottles, fan, all the toiletries you could need including courtesy packs of anything you might have forgotten. Breakfast was excellent- fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts juices as well as a choice of cooked breakfasts. Fresh fruit made available during the day and plates/cutlery left out in case you wanted to order a takeaway. However the guest house is conveniently located for the town centre and several eateries. Thoroughly recommend and good value for money.

Nothing really!

Breakfast was excellent, couldn't have been better. In the room, they provided not only expected towels, wash lotions and Tea/ Coffee facilities but also, robes and every imaginable personnal item such as spare toothpaste/brush, that one may have forgotten. Everything was also very clean. We would highly recommend the Sonata.

The room was a bit on the small side but adequate. However, the size of the en-suite and other things, including the friendliness of the owners, made this pale into insignificance.

The host was amazing, lovely welcome,lovely and clean,and all the little extra touches, bath robes,slippers etc. Room was spotless, water, and sparkling water in the room. Breakfast was fantastic, what a choice...Will definitely be going again.

Nothing at all...And that is our honest opinion. The lady of the house was a credit to her hotel. We have stayed all over the country, and that has to be the best hotel,we have stayed in. All the little touches, and little extras at breakfast, absolutely fantastic.

Lovely B&B close to the town centre. I thought the room was a good size as was the bathroom which was well lit and with a spacious shower. Lots of free extras in terms of toiletries, tea/coffee, and bottled water. Inoka is a very kind and welcoming host and she makes a fantastic breakfast too. Plenty of choice including a full English breakfast, all of which is really good quality. Slept very well there and would happily stay again in future!

I honestly can’t think of anything. It’s just really great value for the price.

Good communication from the owner regarding arrival & departure access & parking requirements. Room very clean, good temperature and superb on suite bathroom facilities.

There was nothing to fault. The room information & reviews were found to be very useful & accurate. I would definately use again in future, if required.

Great location & price. Breakfast cereal supplied in the breakfast room but you need to take your own milk.

We didn't use the breakfast room but maybe provide a kettle in there. We also only had fruit teabags in our rom so had to go and get a couple of normal teabags from the breakfast room.

A beautiful light room. The breakfast was top class, and nothing was too much trouble. My tea was obviously top quality and my poached eggs cooked to perfection. Room was immaculately clean and a huge shower, there were lots of free toiletries. Bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up and the linen top quality. TV was great with lots of extra channels to watch... Oh and fresh bottled sparkling and still water available every day.

Nothing really... Everything was perfect.
