Location. Style. Plenty of space and each room with its own en-suite facility. We liked the large central bar area and the hot tub.

Although a full catering kitchen we lacked some equipment but were able to manage to cater for 15 of us in total. A couple of things need a little update (eg peeling wallpaper in the ladies toilet).

Well presented B&B,room was well planned,with seperate lounge,bathroom was large with modern shower and bath,cooked breakfast was excellent, more fruit,dates,prunes and mixed fruits,would have given a better choice for those not wanting a cooked breakfast.

Tvs did not work,dirty spoon left on coffee table, no tea bags present,mattress seemed to have a duvet under the fitted sheet,but was still comfortable, found shower difficult to adjust temperature, am being picky but you did ask,bottled water would have been a nice touch,was dust build up on lights and some furnishings, would stay again,

The house is beautiful and the most amazing views. Each room has a luxury feel and suits the house well, keeping the character. The offer of extra facilities such as clay pigeon shooting on site made the whole weekend fantastic. Large and roomy but traditional. Excellent would re book.

-Clean and comfortable room and a clean bathroom -Not too far from Bowness on Windermere, 10-15 minute drive! -Friendly staff, the one bloke who was working there was a joy to chat to. He helped me get my car going on the last day because it wouldn't start, I was able visit Bowness for the final time before heading home. -Breakfast was good but nothing special, my wife really enjoyed it though.

-No air conditioning which I think would be necessary in these warmer times, or at least a fan in the room.

Set in an idyllic location with lovely countryside views all round, this Hotel is so peacefully quiet, ideal for a night or two of relaxation away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Phil, the host, is welcoming and courteous, room we stayed in was very spacious, comfortable, and clean (the Stag).

TV reception was poor to non existant, Sky would not work. Having said that, the weather was horrendous, but you still could not get normal TV through the aerial.

Hotel was immaculate, with gorgeous views and the room was superb with nice decor and very comfy beds and was also spotless. Also, Phil who runs Lyth Valley is one of the best hosts I've come across, very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay at Lyth Valley. Will be definitely returning when i can and recommending to people i know.

Couldn't fault a single thing. 10/10 on everything

the surrounding and view from the room were incredible. The interior was great, bed was super comfortable! love a freestanding bath but it was a little small, but the shower more than made up for it!

the toilet constantly kept refilling with water, which was loud and annoying as it was hard to get to sleep, and then woke me up. also the lack of a bin for small rubbish items

Nice room, nice towels. Heated towel rail and heated bathroom floor are nice touch. Bed very comfortable, nice duvet. Breakfast and the coffee were very good. The view.

Constructive comments: Make sure there are cups, saucers, spoons, milk and glasses in the room before arrival. Fix the plumbing so that there is cold water in the shower, fix the bath tap so hot water comes out properly, fix the sink drain so it isn't blocked, fix the toilet so it doesn't run all night trying to fill the tank. Fix these items and the place will be great.

Beautiful hotel with lots of character, really comfy and cosy room decor with lots of small touches. Amazing views of the fields and mountains, perfect location for Windemere and Kendal. Lovely bar and breakfast area with balcony overlooking the views, and a serve yourself type bar. The bed was large and soft, smart TV with Netflix etc, rooms quiet and dark. Full English breakfast was quick and well cooked. Overall a really peaceful stay.

There could be more complementary toiletries like shower gel and bubble bath to make use of the lovely bath. No bath robes. Breakfast could be larger.

Very stylishly decorated and the The Stag room was beautiful. It had a gorgeous free standing bath and the bed was super comfortable!!! Phil was very welcoming and looked after us all through our stay. Breakfast was very tasty too.

The alcohol license had expired so they weren’t serving drinks but on the plus you could take your own!
