I’ve stayed here before and liked it so returned. Room had amazing view room 73. There was building work and there was the last time we visited, it did seem a little bit invasive this time, just because it was in the swimming pool area. Although the staff and building team were actually great (probably more about me than them) Breakfast was good too! We will be retuning in June

The location was fantastic, the room with a view and balcony was fantastic. The breakfast had plenty to choose from, area was clean and tidy. The hot tubs and pool were great. The food served was amazing, delicious.

The background music was at times repetitive, also appeared dated.

Superb location, Adequate and safe parking. Lovely room and wonderful view, especially at sunset. Plumbing all worked well. Bed comfy. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and professional. The pool and hot tub were absolutely superb. The building was quirky but full of character albeit a bit dated in some areas.

This is an expensive hotel but surprisingly there was no internet connection and therefore couldn't use laptop and only limited live TV available - the staff did say this problem would soon be resolved but not while we were there. Much building work was being carried out. Builders walking past window etc. although to be fair, they were very polite and did keep the noise down to a minimum. Probably be lovely when it's finished, but not for a while yet. There are no lifts, if you're not fit when you arrive, you will be when you leave. There are many stairs. No aircon and the room was very warm. Breakfast was OK but the toaster has a mind of its own, this needs sorting. Get it set up and stop guests fiddling with the controls (perhaps simply take the knobs off).

the fact you had to pay to use the pool and spa this should be included in the price of the hotel!! Included in the facilities as it is sold as a spa hotel!!

Excellent location on the south-east side of Windermere (lake). Impressive reception and open plan lounge with amazing lake views. Good food at reasonable price. Free continental breakfast included in room price, but cooked breakfast charged (at £15 pp). Friendly staff. Spa facilities are good, though busy during our visit (early Jan 2025). Very popular with couples. Bowness is appox 4 miles north of the hotel.

Car parking is free, with some limited spaces outside the hotel (roadside). However, the main hotel car park is down a VERY steep ramp, which makes it difficult (even dangerous) to exit onto the road. Hotel charges extra for use of the pool (£10 pp per 24 hrs).

As soon as we arrived to the hotel, the staff greeted us with such positivity and kindness. We were too early to check into our rooms but offered to hold our luggage. We asked for advice on transportation and everything about the hotel and location was explained perfectly. The room was absolutely lovely! I booked 2 rooms and requested them to be close by - we were next door to each other. Bar staff very friendly and welcoming too. Excellent location! Would absolutely stay here again!

Breakfast was first come first serve. We came to breakfast at 9am (breakfast is on until 10), I didn’t want a hot breakfast as I was told there was pastries and things. When I went up, there was none left. I asked a member of staff and they said they only make so many, once gone they are gone. So I paid £15 for a yogurt and some toast which wasn’t really ideal. Also the bathroom door couldn’t open fully as the toilet is right behind it which made it slightly tricky and abit claustrophobic when using the bathroom. Also, we had a smart TV in the room but it was not connected to the WiFi. We asked reception for the WiFi password and it wouldn’t connect to our phones or the TV in the hotel room which was abit of a shame as one night we planned to have a movie night with some snacks.

It was a very great Stay! We all loved it ! The rooms were gorgeous! The beds oh my,... I just wanted to stay there and take it with me. They are Huge and so comfy and just you are cuddled by the pillows ! So you dont need your husband with you :-) It was amazing from the Check- In , Reception was really good and nice ! Excellent Team you have I must really say. Everytime you are asking if all is alright and not just us,... so it was amazing. I booked also 2x afternoon teas and it was so yummy. Also the Massages were on point. And the Facial too. Spa was amazing. We had really great days that were given us so much joy and happiness that we will come back! Defo. Also,... for all others that would book it ---- dont look at the structure that they are rebuilding the hotel ! Indeed they do perfectly the job because - that didnt bothered us as hotel guests NOT AT ALL!!! Because everything else is Just perfect that also the staff told us that there will be gorgeous changes coming up... and they also are really happy to be there and see all ! And this is what makes a great hotel! Staff that lets people know - you need to come back! I loved it ! Thank you A lot ! To all of you. Your Hill - Sutton Fam in Laws !

There is nothing that I dont like ! Everything was really great ! And I mean it!

Hotel staff were very friendly, the hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. The hotel was having some work done at the time I believe, this did not affect them at all and it was business as usual. Views were incredible, great selection behind the bar and the food was fresh and tasty. Rooms were very clean and beds comfy

My only small thing I would change is the WiFi service, in the bar/restaurant area I couldn’t get WiFi strength and there was no WiFi in the rooms. Being a zero/low signal area it would’ve been a nice touch to have WiFi in the bedroom so we can plan walks and look online for things in the surrounding areas.
