Excellent location, during summer holidays so nicely out of the way from busy towns. Very quiet 2ith lovely views over lake

Fair bit of work going on, front of room where patio doors open out was incomplete with half built walls and just rubble laid down. Would have been nice to be told before booking.

I’ve stayed here before and liked it so returned. Room had amazing view room 73. There was building work and there was the last time we visited, it did seem a little bit invasive this time, just because it was in the swimming pool area. Although the staff and building team were actually great (probably more about me than them) Breakfast was good too! We will be retuning in June

The rooms were lovely and the views were exceptional. The staff greeted us well on arrival and throughout our stay here. The hotel was very clean and modern. We really enjoyed the spa.

We was in room 91, which is on the top floor. This became very hot throughout the day and mostly at night too. This became an issue when we bought drinks from the shop as there was no fridge in the rooms which I’ve never experienced before. Every hotel we have previously stayed in has a fridge so our drinks were very hot and snacks like chocolate were just melting. There just didn’t seem any time it seemed cool. Also the fire alarm went off every single morning throughout our stay at about 8:30am which was quite frightening and became annoying every morning. But above all we was pleasantly happy with our stay and will return to you.

Spot on, lovely location. Views were amazing and staff were great. Only area for improvement would be a more present bar person. Would definitely return. Big thanks to Courtney.

The location was fantastic, the room with a view and balcony was fantastic. The breakfast had plenty to choose from, area was clean and tidy. The hot tubs and pool were great. The food served was amazing, delicious.

The background music was at times repetitive, also appeared dated.

Superb location, Adequate and safe parking. Lovely room and wonderful view, especially at sunset. Plumbing all worked well. Bed comfy. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and professional. The pool and hot tub were absolutely superb. The building was quirky but full of character albeit a bit dated in some areas.

This is an expensive hotel but surprisingly there was no internet connection and therefore couldn't use laptop and only limited live TV available - the staff did say this problem would soon be resolved but not while we were there. Much building work was being carried out. Builders walking past window etc. although to be fair, they were very polite and did keep the noise down to a minimum. Probably be lovely when it's finished, but not for a while yet. There are no lifts, if you're not fit when you arrive, you will be when you leave. There are many stairs. No aircon and the room was very warm. Breakfast was OK but the toaster has a mind of its own, this needs sorting. Get it set up and stop guests fiddling with the controls (perhaps simply take the knobs off).

Lovely setting and staff were very attentive. There seems to be quite a bit of upgrading going on with new balconies and additions to the hotel but this was not an issue. Loved the spa, very relaxing. Very grateful for our complementary upgrade of room and was not disappointed. We ate in the hotel first night and had breakfast both days we were there. The food was exceptional. Thoroughly recommended

Nothing. Others would maybe mention the building works but I can see the ambition and cannot wait to return when it’s finished

Excellent location on the south-east side of Windermere (lake). Impressive reception and open plan lounge with amazing lake views. Good food at reasonable price. Free continental breakfast included in room price, but cooked breakfast charged (at £15 pp). Friendly staff. Spa facilities are good, though busy during our visit (early Jan 2025). Very popular with couples. Bowness is appox 4 miles north of the hotel.

Car parking is free, with some limited spaces outside the hotel (roadside). However, the main hotel car park is down a VERY steep ramp, which makes it difficult (even dangerous) to exit onto the road. Hotel charges extra for use of the pool (£10 pp per 24 hrs).

It had everything I needed, I went on a trip to relax and get away from every day stress. The hotel had an amazing spa, the room was clean, spacial, smelled amazing and looked out onto the lake. There was a path down to the water where I paddle board. The breakfast had plenty of choice and hot food made freshly. Dinner was lovely and very reasonable priced, it was lovely having our meals with nice scenery. The staff were very welcoming everywhere you went, they even text you to advise you can text at any point for any questions. I really didn’t want to leave and have full intentions of returning back.

I didn’t stay long enough

We were given a free upgrade to a double room which was lovely! The bed was wonderfully soft and the bathroom had a separate shower and bath with jets. We paid extra for the spa facilities which we would highly recommend, the best spa we've been to so far! Incredibly relaxing and very modern, with a large steam room, sauna, pool and three jacuzzi. One of them veing outside with a lovley view of the lake. We had a jacuzzi on our own for most of the time! The English breakfast was delicious as well and it was very close to the centre. We took a taxi to the centre for an escape room and dinner which cost £11.

Nothing! Would highly recommend and we will be coming back again!
