Location very good. Easy to access from road. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel quiet and no noise from downstairs bar and restaurant. Some noise from next room but fortunately not during the night

Disappointed by inclusive “continental” breakfast. Very limited choice of cereals. Only instant coffee and the single remaining croissant in cellophane more like a soft roll. Some cold meats, slices of cheese would have improved things. I should have ordered a cooked breakfast for an additional £12.

The very early check in i asked for , the friendliness of the bar staff when I came to check in , she was lovely, the room is outstanding, very quirky lights and table . Blinds and curtains were lovely and tasteful. Bed was absolutely super comfy , loved the headboard and bedside tables . Bathroom was done out immaculate. Lots of room with a bath if I wanted one and a overhead shower. Unfortunately never ate so I can't comment on the food but it looked good as it came out the kitchen as I was having a well deserved pint of shandy after the night before . Free continental breakfast was a surprise, loved it cold orange juice from the fridge , plenty of bread for toast and jams etc waffles in individual wrappers are very yummy as the croissants were . Fresh fruit and cereal . I think that's a big plus as I didn't expect it aswell . Plenty of parking . Very quiet of a night for a good sleep and I had an excellent one . Definitely on my list to come back and stay and eat this time .

That i had to get up and go

The room was very comfortable with lovely views and very quiet. The food was good value for money. Also liked the fact that the kettle was a proper size and mugs to match the name on the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also good to have free parking.

We thought the room could have done with a dressing table or some bedside cabinets next to the bed as the room seemed to have a lot of wasted room. The tv could have been bigger for the size of the room. Could also have done with a hairdryer. Would have preferred to be able to turn the heating on when we were cold and not the hotel having it on timer. The shire room we stayed in had one of the shelves next to the bed missing so didn't have anywhere to put a mug on.

Everything. From the moment we stepped through the door. The staff were lovely. And the lady who had her trial shift in the restaurant that evening... Was fabulous! She went above and beyond for us. The room was absolutely outstanding and was of a brilliant standard. Food? To die for! This was such a good find and will be coming back! We stayed in The Shire and as soon as we walked in we gasped! It was gorgeous. The bed was so comfy too, and after staying in the highlands for 5 days... Was lovely. I don't think I could rate this hotel highly enough. Best hotel stop me and my partner have ever had!

Pillows… that was the only thing and it was such a minor thing, they were a little lifeless and flat. But the bed was so comfy it cancelled out the pillows

The location of the property was great. Lovely staff and facilities. The room was clean to a high standard and very presentable. I loved the theme of the room which was a lovely touch.

I don’t know what it is down to, but when I booked I was under the impression from the advert that I was getting a Mountain View, a bath and a coffee machine. There was a kettle and decent instant available so wasn’t too bothered by that but there was no bath and the view outside the window was of the opposite side of the building.

This was a stop over place on our way back from Scotland. It was not far from the M6 and was an ideal place to stay. The staff were pleasant and the restaurant was fine serving pub menu dishes which were nice and hot. The place was well sited in the edge of the main tourist areas and has a number of heritage properties nearby.

I have no complaints about the property. It is not a high end hotel but the room was well decorated and the bathroom facilities were excellent.

The staff were super friendly and made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. We were shown around the facilities and then went to our room. The room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom had a good shower in it, some locally sourced soaps, and was lovely and clean. The food was delicious, reasonably priced. in the restaurant and served quickly. All in all, we were very pleased with the Gilpin Bridge Inn.

There was nothing that we didn't like!

Breakfast. Almost felt guilty helping yourself to things as they were hidden away. Didn't realise it was continental (or that it would be pre-packaged pastries), and the cooked meal was £12 + on top. It wasn't great, 1 egg, 1 bacon, 1 black pudding, a few beans. Seems we missed out on sausages, but hey ho

Booked this very last minute and when we arrived, staff were very sweet and welcoming. Room was nice - compact, but comfy, clean, and had everything you'd need for an overnight. I understand they are doing some renovations bit by bit to the hotel which is great, and it's a really nice old building. Breakfast was limited and only a very small window if you wanted cooked breakfast. Not an issue for us, but something to keep in mind.

We made a late booking after a terrible experience at another establishment and arrived about 30 minutes later. We received a lovely welcome. Our room was very comfortable. The food was good. The Inn is very dog friendly which made our stay even more enjoyable. Would recommend.

There was a bit of a problem with the shower screen in the bathroom it didn't fit so the bathroom floor became very wet. Limited choice for breakfast but what we had was fine.
