Great location for exploring the Lake District. Easy to find and plenty of onsite parking. The staff here are exceptional and go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. The bar and choices are great and food in the bar was delicious. Make sure you book a table for evening meals as it gets very busy. The food was very good and dietary intolerances catered for. The room was clean, precious and comfortable, with good tv and kettle etc. This is a very dog friendly place. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely location staff were lovely and very helpful our room was so nice ,bed was comfy and room smelt gorgeous the plug in was a nice touch ,breakfast was lovely a proper English breakfast

The only thing that let this lovely pub down was the evening meal we had the roast chicken which was very disappointing ,chicken was a frozen breast a bit dry two small pieces of brocoli that were cold and hard 3 roast potatoes which were the frozen, yorkie was burnt and the gravy had bits of beef in ,at £20 a person this was not value for money

Lovely location, great food, and wonderful beer. Great place to base yourself for a tour of the lakes, and very welcoming for dog owners. Gorgeous bar and dining area and a great menu. Really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. Lovely fresh, hot foot. The room was comfortable, if warm, and extremely clean.

Room was very hot, and when we opened the window there was a noisy fan on the roof that was running almost all the time that we were there. The staff were pleasant but we would have liked to learn more about the different beers and maybe had the opportunity to try some samples, but that didn't seem to have been a possibility. It was a little disappointing as we chose the inn specifically because it was a micro brewery.

The hotel was far better than I was expecting, with friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was exceptional and set us up for the day. The room was clean, fresh and had plenty of space. The balcony was ideal to have a morning coffee. The Inn was ideally situated to visit Windermere and the surrounding area. 10/10.

Another great stay. We always try to book room 8 which has a nice flowered balcony to the front of the building, overlooking the outside bar area and fields. The bedroom is comfortable, although the shower room is minimal. Residents have their own entrance but access is also via the Smithy Bar. We particularly love the Watermill Brewery Beers and the bar food selection is pretty impressive too. Breakfast is always of a good quality, choice and plentiful. Plenty of onsite parking. Located 4 miles outside Windermere.

We found the Watermill perfect for our visit to the Lake District. Location was great for our needs and with plenty of secure parking. A fabulous and substantial breakfast was included in the overall price. Evening food menu, although not extensive was very good and included vegan items which was a plus.. Definitely will stay here again, going to try the recently renovated cottage with friends nexy time..

Dog friendly and an excellent on site brewery with a good selection of Gluten Free options on the menu(and not just taking the gluten items off the plate). I’d recommend booking a table if you’re planning to eat there as there is no where else within a couple of miles in each direction. Tho I would also recommend eateries in Staveley and Windermere but the house brewed beer is very good. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

Our room(no 7) was small but we did have an outside terrace which would have been a boon if the weather played ball.

The atmosphere in the Watermill Inn and Pub is lovely. Friendly staff, always ready to help you. Cosy interior. The food was good and tasty. The cooked breakfasts are plentiful and good. The Watermill Inn is a perfect home base for exploring the Lake District.

The Watermill Inn is situated close to the A591, so when you want the bedroom window open there will be some traffic noise. But in the evening and at night the traffic dies down.

A fantastic pub hotel set in a beautiful old building in a great setting. The room was spotlessly clean and felt really cosy (something that the chain hotels can lack). The pub and dining room were lovely, real character, the staff were really helpful and friendly and gave a genuinely warm welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and if I'm ever up that way again it will be my first choice. P.s. I can thorughly recommend the full English breakfast, the best I've had for a long time.

Stayed for 3 nights to split our journey on the way up to Scotland. Bayley greeted us on our arrival and made us feel so welcome . The food was excellent and the guy working the front of house went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay..Very peaceful and pleasant location with plenty of parking and easy access by bus to other towns. I would definitely recommend this venue.
