I’m going to try and mention everyone here- Maria, Marija, Filip, Bisera, and Dina- absolutely amazing team! Love the customer service, their kindness and consideration, and their efforts in providing the best service for their guests! Hotel Laugarvatn is strategically located halfway in between Geysir, Gullfoss and Þingvellir National Park. It’s incredibly convenient to start your visit early and beat the crowd. Room was immaculate with huge glass window in case you’d like to spot sunset, sunrise, or even Aurora Borealis. Also floor heating in bathroom which makes it warm and comfy. Highly recommended and will visit again!

Room does not provide kettle but tea and coffee were complimentary, and we had no problem accessing these at the restaurant, and they have alternative milk! Nothing to dislike really.

Great location for visiting Golden Circle attractions, with modern design and good-sized rooms. The common area downstairs offers water, tea, a coffee machine, and some games (chess, playing cards, and board games). Unfortunately, the coffee machine ran out of hot chocolate when we were there.

The breakfast had very limited choices (boiled eggs, cheese and ham, cereal, skyr, some pastries, and bread) and wasn't worth the price. Noise isolation was awful—you could hear people walking and talking in the hall, as well as from the room next to you. Noise-canceling headphones worked well, though.

We didn’t have problems with our check-in and out, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Our room was big, very clean, tidy and warm. The hotel provided us towels, fresh sheets and blankets. There were plenty of hangers where to put jackets, hats ecc, which was useful. The bathroom was amazing, very big and the shower could easily fit two people. The water flow was strong and the temperature was perfect. The sink was also big enough to be used by two people at the same time. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the menu offered a small variety of dishes but they all looked very tasty. We ordered curry with lamb (which was a bit too spicy for my tastes but it was really good) and two different desserts, also really really good. We also ate breakfast at the hotel and they offered both a sweet and salty type of breakfast, very very good. (We paid 2400kr each) I 100% recommend this hotel

Our stay was basically perfect, if I had to find something I didn’t like is the fact that the bathroom doesn’t have windows and if you take hot showers the room gets really humid and the steam doesn’t go away, making the ceiling also wet and dripping. I expected a hairdryer in our room but there wasn’t one

The rooms were basic but cozy typical Scandinavian with everything essential and nothing frivolous. We were exhausted after a day's hiking and this hotel was a perfect haven for an overnight stay between Thingvellir and Gullfoss. The food was excellent (both dinner and breakfast) the small number of staff were incredibly hard working and friendly. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Not really a negative, but they use cool technology (new to me) in a few places (like the doorknobs) that took some time to figure out. Also needed help with the coffee machine! Once I got the hang of it thought they were both great inventions.

This large family room was perfect for our family of 5. We were able to walk to a local restaurant in town as well as the Laugarvatn Fontana. Very convenient to surrounding Golden Circle sites and other local restaurants. There is a gas station and small grocery store right next door.

The bathroom was very small and using the shower results in the getting the entire bathroom floor wet. We showered at the Laugarvatn Fontana to avoid using the small shower in our hotel bathroom. The restaurant has a very limited dinner menu. We were planning to eat there our first night, but decided to go elsewhere.

This is a lovely hotel right near the lake Laugarvatn. It was a great place to stay to explore the Golden Circle and its surroundings. We had great views, comfortable beds, helpful staff, and a comfortable lounge area. We were in the annex building with a room at ground level so no stairs to enter. This is nice after a day of hiking.

Paid breakfast means the lounge area is not available if you want to sit and eat your own breakfast.

The staff are the most nice and helpful people I've met so far in Iceland. The place is beyond clean and comfortable. Amazing location with great views and a high chance to see the northern lights! I loved everything about it!

It is probably the fact that it is far from the supermarket, but that's not a huge problem as staff helps out with almost anything and they provide alternative and suggestions as much as they can! They for sure deserve a raise!

Handy location. Clean room with en suite. Drinks machine you can help yourself to with good coffee, hot chocolate and lots of tea choices. Had an evening meal and the breakfast which were both very good. There is a microwave you can use as a guest as well as plates and cutlery if you want to heat up a ready meal from the nearby supermarket.

Room was a little warm but slept no problem with one leg out the duvet for climate control.

The property is in a beautiful location with many amazing views. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a lake view and it did not disappoint. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and how sweet the staff are. They offer a complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate station. The beds were very comfortable and we highly recommend.

The wasn’t much to dislike about the property. It was an overall positive experience.

Wonderful room that looks newly remodeled, comfortable, quiet, pin controlled doors. Great food that lamb soup was delicious!! N1 right next door. Close to the national park and jump off point to many different areas. After leaving really early on my check out day I decided to stay another night. The desk sent me a link to pay, same room same price (an upgrade from the start to lake view). Thank you!

Loved everything.
