Coincidence or was it meant to be? Incredible experience outside the city. The location is ideal for trips to the peninsula, the golden circle or the south coast. The conditions are very comfortable, the room has everything you need. As for the staff, in general, a special thank you for the warm welcome and wonderful atmosphere. I have never seen a more cozy place in my life. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience nature, hospitality and excellent service. Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful page in life, and the chef also deserves thanks, all the food is very tasty and you want to talk endlessly.
I wish I have a chance to come more times

The living room, entrance and dining room were really alternative and whacky with alternative pictures, eclectic furniture and a very friendly cat who liked to play chess! The owner, manager and chef were all engaging and friendly Breakfast was excellent, good selection of cheese, ham, eggs, bread etc , coffee and juice as well as homemade flapjack Dinner was delicious with simple icelandic fare and catered for me not eating meat The room was large with a lovely bed and bedding, coffee machine and sofa.. it also had a nice deck with great views, very peaceful and birdsong in the evening
The first room we were offered was far too hot but we were moved quickly on request. I had hoped to have pastries at breakfast

From the moment I stepped into this house, I was absolutely amazed by its warm, vintage charm and the tasteful decor that reflects the host’s love for life. It’s truly beautiful—like the home of my dreams! Every corner shows so much thought and care. The view of the distant mountains outside is stunning, and the window in my room perfectly frames the scenery like a painting. Breakfast was also provided, and the pink dining room was absolutely lovely—like something out of a fairytale. I genuinely fell in love with the style and atmosphere of this home. You guys are amazing. Now I finally understand why so many people gave such high ratings—totally deserved! Big thumbs up!

A great location out in the country and they have a nice parking lot with plenty of room. The property was clean and well maintained. There is good visibility to see the northern lights at Bru Country. It was our first time seeing the lights. The evening meal that can be purchased was delicious with a large variety of foods and salads. I loved their dining room with all different kinds of dishes used. Their Iceland breakfast of cold cuts was served as a lovely buffet. We were surprised at our room with the price we paid of $375 US dollars as it reminded us of a "bunker" with the concrete walls and floor. We had heat to take the chill off. We were in a separate building from the check-in.
Room with concrete walls and floor.

So many cute and friendly animals! Dogs, cats and horses. Property is clean, road leading up the Brú is paved, ample parking and DELICIOUS, authentic Icelandic food is offered for both breakfast and dinner. It is a buffet style, and I would absolutely recommend it since you get to try a bit of everything! Every single person who works here is SO NICE and welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again. Hot tub is small but HOT! There is a great view to look at while you soak and enjoy your stay.
Nothing! Love everything.

Great location, totally quiet and close to beautiful nature sights. Comfy rooms, if on the small side. Outdoor hot tub. Very decent breakfast. Central heating. Friendly staff.
I personally am not partial to the decor, such as pink wall panelling, random old chairs and plates, etc. That said, it all worked for us very well, with one exception, namely we were not able to obtail decent mugs at breakfast, instead of dainty crockery. And no teapot, just displayed exhibits out of use. But these are minor points that one just raises an eyebrow about.

Fascinating lobby and restaurant filled with antiques and memorabilia. The dinner buffet was the most memorable of our entire Iceland trip. The dining room was beautiful and the buffet had many distinctive vegetable dishes all clearly home cooked and unlike the more standard fare at other hotels. The mushroom soup was outstanding, I went back for seconds and thirds. The 3 meat dishes lamb meatballs, veal, and locally caught fish were all well prepared and tasty The hotel is only 14 minutes by car from Thingvellir National Park, perfect location

This place is adorable and lovely. The decor is fun, the rooms are clean, and the hot tub is fantastic. It was the best breakfast spread of all the places we stayed in Iceland. The staff was very helpful and friendly when sorting out issues that arose. The location was also very convenient for our day doing the Golden Circle.
Unfortunately we experienced a couple problems. The electricity went out for a short while, and then in the morning our room didn't have hot water. However, a very kind kitchen staff member tried to help and then got the owner to come and fix it. They did their best and we ended up having a really nice stay despite those two inconveniences.

I think the hotel meets basic requirements for that price range. There is however nothing exceptional or noteworthy. Not a bad place, but not an unforgettable place. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel seems to have been called Borealis in the past and most of the signage indicated "Borealis". In the dark, after a lot of driving, I had problems finding the hotel. The receptionist told me I missed a sign which may be true, but still not very well signed off. The dibber looked interesting, but because it is a buffet, it is not possible to simply order something light if you had food on the road.

This is a MUST stay place if you have a car and you are planning to stay near Selfoss and Thingvellir Park! Place is totally lovely, as the staff there is! Special kudos to Agatha and Ásta! We had a need to change the room and it was sorted out fast and with complimentary attention - thank you!! Oh! And don't miss the opportunity to spend your evening I'm the hot tub outside, wonderful way to finish the day after beautiful sightseeing in this wonderful place Iceland is :)
