Having a student at Kent State University we utilise this hotel each time we come over - it's very convenient to downtown and the University, always clean, beds are comfortable, rooms are always clean. Service staff are always great. Having a washer/dryer inhouse is also super convenient.

The drawers in the rooms don't shut properly and slightly slide open - minor thing but has been the same in multiple rooms we've stayed in for the last couple of years. Housekeeping doesn't always replace teabags and cups, but there are ample available in the lobby so no real issue. We noticed parking in the PARTA lot this time had gone up 30% since our visit 12 months ago, but perhaps out of the hotel's control.

Modern. Clean, solid WiFi signal everywhere. Larger king bed room, modern functional plumbing, microwave and dorm refrigerator in room. 2nd floor communal patio made a nice cocktail, picnic spot. Location is in Old Town two blocks to River. Many restaurants and bars with 3 blocks. View of campus but yet removed from student life. Indoor pool was a nice idea but it’s too small for lap swimming and the water heater was broken during our visit. Very quiet at night made for sound sleeping. Free lobby coffee was delicious and I am a coffee snob (hate Starbucks—too bitter, lover strong robust coffee) coffee mate creamer was the only alternative but it wasn’t bad and how can you complain about free coffee that tastes good. 2nd floor ice machine alcove has a clothes washer and dryer. Free? I’m not certain but it’s a nice touch.

Room lighting was inadequate. One bedside lamp was missing a lightbulb and onsite staff couldn’t locate a compatible replacement A19 style bulb. Restaurant was closed Sunday night.

The hotel was spotless, sleek, modern design and everything seemed brand new. The room was very spacious and the AC was in good working order. There was free coffee and hot water 24/7 in the lobby.

Mattress was a bit too soft. The pool was out of order. The hotel charges a temporary $50 hold on your credit card at check out. I have still not been refunded this money over 12 hours later. I find this relatively new practice unnecessary and quite annoying.

We had a very good room, a nice comfy bed, and a very easy time with check in, check out, and all of our booking! The room was exactly what we needed for one night in Kent!

The room could have been a touch cleaner, and it would be super cool if there was a simple included breakfast, rather than the only option for breakfast at the hotel being additional money.

Love the proximity to downtown and campus. Our favorite place to stay when we come visit our Flash girl. Beds are super comfy and the rooms are a nice size.

The hot tub never works! This is the second time in less than a year that we’ve come and the hot tub has been broken and there’s no sign or anything, you dip your toe in and are highly disappointed when the water is ice cold! Ridiculous that it never works.

I was in town for an awards ceremony at the KSU school of nursing. I brought my daughter who is also a graduate

They accommodated me even though I booked the wrong night and they were crowded with events and the OU baseball team. They also helped me by suggesting I reach out to ask for a refund for booking the wrong night. Extremely helpful., and they were busy

purpose was to attend concert at kent stage.also took time to drive around campus and check out 'shooting display room and photos"very emotional.We remember the event and have been haunted by neil young(Canadian) song OHIO.allin all a educational and moving visit to your town--------will return if age and health allow.restaurent

restaurent hours were too restrictive to fit our trips needs timewise.------thats life.

The breakfast was great. We had a suite and it was perfect for gathering in. The front desk people were very accommodating and helpful getting several of us checked in under different names. Great spot for going to the Kent Stage.

I would have like a more loungey kind of bar.

First,I really liked, Sarah, the front desk reservationist. She was very friendly, energetic and helpful. She gave us 2 great recommendations on nearby restaurants. She also took care of a snafu in the reservation, that was my fault, seamlessly and quickly. Our rooms were spotless and larger than expected. The King bed was very comfortable, not too soft or hard. The room provided all the necessities..The bathroom had a nice large granite ? sink and a good sized shower with interchangeable shower head settings. We did not use the swimming pool or eat at the hotel restaurant. We also had a very quiet stay, which is a big plus. Excellent hotel, especially for the price!

Things that most hotels I stay in don't have, including this one, is enough hooks in the bathroom. The shower could use a grab bar also. If you start to fall the only thing to hold is the door handle.

Modern clean accommodations. Room are very large, clean and comfortable. Staff was great.

We were on the 3rd floor. Walls/cielings are paper thin and you could hear the people above simply walking around. A bit strange for such a modern structure.
