Location fantastic. Lido and sea access. Bus stop and supermarket at top of the road. Breakfast very enjoyable with lots of choice. Would recommend the La Cabonara restaurant in the resort for food.

I had booked a sea view room with balcony. However on arrival we were allocated a room at ground floor level, with a terrace overlooking the pool. We queried this and were told the hotel was full but that we could swap to a different room on our third night. This room did have a balcony but with a side sea view and was much smaller. We accepted the swap but were very dissapointed we didn't get what we paid for. Pool bar closed.

Location direct at the sea with nice swimming possibilities It was very quiet, relaxing holiday and modern hotel facilities - the breakfast direct at the ocean is very lovely. Gym was awesome, never seen something like this in a hotel - even a cross fit box was available. Hotel offers a variety of leisure time activities

We missed having cozy seating areas outside of the hotel. The very nice sun terrace could be used for this purpose since nobody was using the sun beds up there over the whole week. Rooms should be cleaned till noon not in the afternoon. More variety at breakfast - was everyday nearly the same.

- The staff in the hotel was super friendly, and they always folded our pajamas, which was an amazing touch. - The breakfast selection was fantastic, there is food for all tastes. We stayed a full week and never felt bored with the selection. They also have an ingenious solution to prevent pigeons on the restaurant's balcony. - We loved that the hotel was "Adults only", so we actually got some calm to relax away from toddlers crying.

We were a couple and only received one card, which was okay for most of the trip, but the hotel requires an access card for almost every door and area, which made it challenging when one of us wanted to go out to explore while the other wanted to rest in the room, as it would mean to cut the energy supply of the room. Also, I wish the room's balcony was a non-smoking area. If it is, we were unlucky with our neighbor. We didn't get to enjoy that area so much because he was always smoking there. Also, opening the door would let the smoke into the room. The beds were okay, a bit on the soft side. Luckily, they were not super soft, so I was able to sleep, but I wish they were a bit firmer.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were all exceptional. Possibly the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in, it was spotless. The bar and restaurant are were lovely. Breakfast was very good.

This is sold as an adults only hotel but the bar and lido pool area are open to the public so can have children in. We left the bar one afternoon due to unruly children running around and climbing on the furniture. Could also do with more umberellas by the pool and with the pool bar opening before1pm - even if only to sell soft drinks. Could do with more information in the hotel about the local area.

We were completely satisfied with our stay at this hotel. We had beautiful unobstructed ocean views from our room which was amazing. The room itself was clean, spacious, light and tastefully furnished and had everything we needed and more. The hotel staff was friendly and professional and we got an upgrade for our anniversary which was very generous. Breakfast was amazing, huge choice of food and the location of the restaurant is perfect directly above the beach. The hotel has a nice pool area. Common areas were kept clean. It is an adults only hotel, and it was quiet and never felt crowded. The beach at the hotel is great, small, but you can easily swim and snorkel right at the beach due to the house reef. There is also a diving school and an adventure guide company located close by.

The staff were very friendly, lively, funny and approachable. Air-conditioned rooms, spacious glass shower, separate WC. Lovely views of the ocean. Nice pool for cooling off, and shaded rest areas.

The elevator was unreliable, so we often took the stairs to the breakfast area and the beach. The location is a bit off the beaten track, and the restaurants around the hotel were OK, not good and certainly not excellent.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and was not disappointed. They poped into our room some champagne and decorated our bed with flower petals. The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and good shower. The pool are was lovely. They also had a gorgeous rock pool area where you could swim in the sea and snorkel and relax on the sunbeds which was probably our favourite bit about the hotel. I have never seen so much fish in my life while snorkeling here. It is right beside a reef and very safe with life guards. Breakfast was great with a lovely balcony view of the ocean. Staff were lovely at check in and check out. It was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved pretty much everything about Sentido Galomar. The location is great! Close to the airport and to Funchal but not so close that it's too busy. The house reef (free entry to the lido for hotel guests) was amazing for snorkeling (so many fish!). Nice walk to the Cristo Rei and Garajau beach and cable car. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was probably one of the best we've had so far. The Galomar part of the resort is adults only, so no screaming kids or kids running around the pool. The room was big, had everything we needed and a nice view of the pool and sea. Pool towels were included. The saunas were beautiful (sea views from inside!) and various spa treatments were available (although we did not make use of them this time). There is also a gym and indoor pool. We'll definitely be back! :)

Location is beautiful and hotel has a really calm feeling. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Enjoyed everything. Breakfast was good but as someone how is GF cooked options were limited, but bread and a cake were available.

Liked everything really but although not typical in their hotel rooms, I really missed having a mirror above the desk area to dry hair etc. little thing but would be easier than sitting on the floor in front of long mirror. Minor thing but would have been helpful for me.

The location of the hotel is excellent. A quiet area with ample shops and restaurants to choose from. The views from our room were beautiful especially as the sun came up! The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The choice at breakfast was varied and plentiful. Having breakfast outside in the mornings was a treat. The warm blankets on the seats were welcomed especially in the cooler evenings. The pool area and sauna were magnificient. Everywhere was kept exceptionally clean. The staff were warm and very helpful. Thankfully we were accomodated for a late dinner on christmas eve as we hadn't booked in advance. Delicious fish!

The mosquitos 😒 . It would help if a mosiquito screen including a plug in was included. The single beds, a notice in the welcome pack that a double mattress can be requested would have made the week more comfortable. A clearer explanation on how to regulate the air conditioning. We found it exceptionally warm and when I enquired I was informed the temperature is kept the same throughout the hotel. We managed to get cool air but that was difficult to regulate.
