The location and layout of Golo Hilltop are great, with sunset views from every cottage, beautifully maintained gardens, and spacious rooms offering privacy and quiet. The owners were approachable and always helpful. We loved to spend time at the pool, which was well designed and maintained.

The breakfast at Golo Hilltop was disappointing. It is made to order, not a buffet. There was a cereal bar with coco-flakes, long-life milk and squash (not fruit juice). One could then choose between 3 options: fried rice with veg, two pieces of toast with egg, or one banana pancake. The order took generally a long time to arrive and was neither plentiful nor good. We also got a small plate of fruit and tea or coffee. The fruit was nice and gave the breakfast a lift, but overall I would rate it 5 out of 10.

Location a bit far from the center. It reduces the noice but requires asking for a taxi or walking around 30mim for dinner

It has a magnificent view of the bay, the swimming pool is nice and clean, the room is of a good size and has fridge, wardrobe, mosquito net, etc. Bathroom was spacious.we were there for less than 24 hours but enough to see that it was a good choice.

Although the location is hood for the views, you are isolated, and walking down to town is not that easy, even if it's just about 13 minutes. So, if the restaurant is closed as it was that day, you need to call a taxi to take you fuwn and back up, or order food. That's the inconvenience. With the restaurant opened, it would be really good yo stay there.

The situation of the hotel in an elevated position on the edge of town ,with a wonderful view, was just perfect . The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was fresh and delicious . The gardens are beautiful as is the pool area with lots of shade umbrellas, and stunning views from every terrace Being just out of the town centre , (but an easy walk ) was a bonus as it was very quiet . We found the long main street of the town very interesting and attractive, with many food options and tour businesses. Our room( and everything else) was very well maintained and comfortable with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay . We especially loved our terrace , which was a joy to sit on overlooking the stunning views . A wonderful 3 day stay with charming friendly hosts ....highly recommended !

Clean, spacious room. Beautiful view of the sea and the sunset from our balcony, nice pool. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was okay, good quality. We did not mind the short walk to the city center as after a day of traveling we welcomed some movement.

Multiple conversations with different people to organize the (pricey) trip to the airport which is basically a few minutes from the accommodation. However, everyone was very helpful and we got it organized. Also seems to be a standard price for transport from hotels to the airport and the other way round.

The location of Golo Hilltop is amazing! the views from my bedroom, as well as from the pool and restaurant, are breathtaking. The breakfast is really good and the pool is lovely. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. I had a great time there and would stay there again.

I would only change the lighting of the rooms, but it's no big deal, just personal preference for warm lights

Our room was located up the hill with a gorgeous view of the bay. Was very nice to chill out in the terrace. The reception/dining room also has an amazing view. The hotel is composed by small buildings (room+bathroom) spread on a hill, it's really good looking. The host helped us adding an extra bed and calling the taxi for us.

The air conditioning and the fan in the room were very noisy so that we couldn't use them. The room was very hot. You have to walk for 10 or 15 minutes to reach the Main Street of Labuan Bajo, and the return is uphill, not a problem for us, but it might be challenging for someone.

Simple breakfast but enough for me already. The place is a bit far from town (15 minutes walk) so it is quiet, and my room has a good view which I can see beautiful sunset every day. Staff are friendly and helpful.

My room is at the top so need to walk many stairs before I got into my room, it was a bit tiring especially when you have been out for a long day.

Basic but very clean rooms. Good A/C and showers! The dining room is surrounded in windows and has a perfect view of the AMAZING sunsets in Labuan Bajo. Pool is wonderful as well. Staff is nice. They packed a breakfast for us to take with us on our boat ride because we were leaving too early to attend breakfast. You just need to request it the night before.

I would stay here again just for the view - absolutely stunning. The most AMAZING sunsets! Which you can view from the pool area, breakfast area or the balcony of your room. You just wouldn’t be able to get a view like this in Europe for this price. The host was super communicative and helped me in booking a trip of the island - which I did with D’Tour and would recommend! The host even had a packed breakfast made for me as I was leaving so early. Room was spacious and the balcony area was lovely to relax. Liked having a kettle in the room. Gorgeous little cats wandering around the gardens.

Unsurprisingly the hotel is on a hilltop (it’s in the name!) so there is a little bit of a walk down to the main restaurants - but I didn’t mind this at all, it only took about 10 minutes. And without the hilltop you wouldn’t have the amazing view! My only complaint is that the host booked me an airport taxi pick up and he never arrived which was frustrating (as I had to wait for 15 minutes in arrivals being accosted by about 100 other taxi drivers which was quite intimidating) - but the host was very apologetic about this.
