Central location, good place for meeting with a group

Breakfast was poor. Everything was self service even making your own orange juice with a difficult to use machine. Coffee only available through a machine , and the quality was very poor. Cooked food was very salty and worst of all the brown bread was stale, dry and hard. No bowl of fresh fruit and yogurts. All of these are basic standards one would expect in a 4 star hotel. It was very disappointing .

The restaurant / bar staff were so friendly helpful and professional overall the evening meal was a great experience The meal was delicious

Family room was a nice size. Housekeeping did a great job every day. Very clean rooms and nicely presented. We enjoyed the proximity to town, the ample parking and the swimming pool. The local park was amazing for the kids and only a 5 minute walk from the hotel so this was also ideal.

The room was advertised to have a fridge in the room and there was no fridge in the room. This was very disappointing as I was travelling with 2 kids who were attending a summer camp in offaly and I needed to send them off with packed lunches every day and alot of our food went off because of no fridge facility. I didn't complain at the time as I had already unpacked for the week and wasn't willing to move room at that point but if advertised it should be included, I spent alot of money there that week. Kids meals were also not good in the bar/restaurant. My kids left them behind. Staff were not overly friendly in all areas of the hotel but they weren't rude either.

It was extremely clean, notably so. It is a slightly older building but they do not skimp on cleaning. The staff were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. There is a real homely feel from the moment you arrive at reception. The food was great, reasonable, staff were brilliant with our two babies. In the pool the changing room was so clean, there was someone cleaning the floor both times we used the facilities to keep the floor dry. The pool itself was brilliant for the little ones, they loved the baby pool and the water feature/waterfalls in the big pool

There was only one fault - it was too hot in the room at night. We didn’t use the duvets at all and we have two small children, both under 2 years old. On the second evening I spoke to the girl at reception and she said that there was no air conditioning but there was a fan in every wardrobe. We hadn’t looked into the wardrobes. So that made a huge difference on the second night and it was much more comfortable. I’m sure if it was Winter there would be no issue

Food was fantastic and very good value. Included use of leisure centre and pool was a real bonus. Pool was 20m, large for a hotel, which suits me as an ex-competitive swimmer.

A couple of minor maintenance issues needed dealing with but these were dealt with promptly when they were pointed out. If periodic appliance safety checks had been carried out these issues would have been found. I asked for a document to be printed which I sent to the hotel's info email address, it was rejected by the hotel's spam filter. On speaking to the receptionist she said that that was the email address that everybody else used, there was no problem with it. Therefore I must have done something wrong, all despite checking the address on the email I had sent herself. A suggestion that she contact the hotel's IT support to have the email released was blanked. Not happy with that particular member of staff but everybody else was great.

From the moment we arrived, we parked up the car loads of parking spaces available. We entered the hotel and went to check in. The receptionist was lovely, so friendly and helpful. The room was so nice and clean We had some lunch in the bar area.food was nice. The swimming pool is amazing warm the changing room spotles, and they have a lifeguard on duty.. The breakfast was amazing if something wasnt there that you wanted they would get it for you. The girls on breakfast services were so so nice. All the staff were amazing 👏

This is my second stay here. Beautiful place. Very clean and spacious. Used the pool which is lovely and clean. Ate in the restaurant. Food was lovely and tasty.

Service in the bar was very poor. Short staffed. Drinks orders took a long time to be served. Other people at the bar had the same complaint. Ordered three drinks to our table. Only got two. Other one was left on the bar! This is the only negative about the place. Food was nice. But a wait for the food order too.

It's a nice hotel, staff are lovely, breakfast is good and location too. We were going to a gig in the function room so it was convenient to stay there.

I think the rooms in this hotel are over priced for nice but basic rooms. I had originally booked the room when I booked the concert tickets but decided to cancel as they were ridiculously overpriced. When I went to cancel they were €100 cheaper so I Cancelled and rebooked. Still pricey but worth it for the convenience. Moral of the story: keep an eye on the price!

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the dining and bar staff. The hotel is clearly a busy, buzzing place well utilised by tourists and locals alike, so there was an interesting mix of guests- golfers and Agricultural Show attendees as well as a wedding thrown into the mix, which made it an interesting place to be! Room was soundproof. Dining options were generous and varied. I will make special mention of Katie, one of the breakfast hosts, who does a great job.Convenient to a number of sights, e.g. Clonmacnoise and the Greenway.

Nothing really- it was a pleasant place to stay, and I would recommend it highly.

Lovely hotel and the room was fabulous

One of the bar staff was just like he didn’t want to be there and when asking for a drink felt like we were inconveniencing him and he and one of the floor staff were arguing over the ice scoop,they were so unprofessional. There was one girl that took our food order she was lovely and helpful but I forgot to get her name. The waiting staff were not great as after we gave our orders the man that was bringing out the food brought out our mains before we even got our starter.Then when we were finished dinner it was an hour or a bit longer and our table still had not been cleared. If it had been busy I would understand but it was not,so we just went to our room as between the bad staff and lack of attention to the customers and not just us we had had enough of bad service.
