Breakfast was lovely. Pity the porridge was not made on milk. But I know lots would love that it was made with water so thats more a personal preference. There was plenty of food and variety Room was great. Bath math was slippy, had to ask for more towels and more pillows, there was only enough for two people eventhough the room was booked for four but it was no trouble and the staff were lovely Highlight of our stay was the scavenger hunt and the nice chocolate ice cream for the kids when they finished it.

When I first looked the price was €160 for the night but when I booked it jumped to €309 which is a lot.

I recently stayed at The Hotel with family, and I was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, The hotel staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We want to give a special shout out to JOSH. he is so welcoming to all the guests and a very friendly guy. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay . The leisure club,comfortable rooms, exceptional service, and amazing food and staff make it a top-notch choice. Book your stay and experience it for yourself!

The location was perfect for our stay . The restaurant and food court catered for all. Loved the ice machines in the hallways . It was great not worrying about parking and the charging of the car. The man on reception was absolutely fantastic . Very polite and helpful.

One big issue was there was no hot water in the bath/ shower as the temperature control had broken . We were in a hurry and in all fairness reception sent someone up very quickly but he couldn’t fix it . He did offer us a different room to shower but it would have taken too much time especially as I had a child with additional needs with me . It was a little disappointing as I had been so impressed with the hotel . Like I say the staff did their very best to assist but it was a time issue to use the alternative plans

The hotel staff are the friendliest most helpful people we have ever came across in a hotel they really.made our stay the most enjoyable experience from.the cleaners, the ppl at leisure centre , the receptionships the bar staff and waiters and waitresses and especially the night porter Alex he goes out of his way to.help anyway he can , food was lovely, hotel was spotless rooms spacious could recommend this hotel enough will deffo be back, was a gang of.us with kids ages 4-14 and honestly cannot fault this hotel

If I had to pick something to fault.id say maybe a bit more effort put into the kids club and the room was a bit dark maybe more lighting but that's just trying to leave feedback not a bad review

Staff at the bar Sunday evening were very friendly and professional. But credit must go to Josh at reception who checked me in Sunday . (I hope I've name right) he not only gave me a nice welcome he also remembered my name when I came down for dinner. Always impressive when somebody takes the time to greet you by your name. Hotel spotless as always. Ideal for short trip for studies in Portlaoise. Pool area was grand. Pool tiles floor is slightly slippy in the water of the pool not the deck, so non swimmers like me need to be a bit more careful. But staff and facilities down there were perfect.

Check in was professional and speedy, the room was quiet and suitably double glazed. The servicing of the room was to a good standard and staff were very polite. Breakfast in the dining area was explained to us both very clearly and there was a good choice of beverages and food. Checkout was really quick and all in all the whole of our four night stay was most pleasant.

Everything was fine and there was nothing to be critical of.

The location, Staff, and Breakfast were all brilliant. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others if they are staying in Laois.

The room was a little bit dusty, and the floors weren't hoovered before our stay, there was food on the floor by the beds when we arrived. Also, changing rooms for the swimming pool could have been cleaner, there was a lot of hair on the floor.

Reception staff were so welcoming and friendly when we arrived late at night. Scavenger hunt for the kids was great fun, pool was lovely, room was a good size and comfortable if a bit too warm.

Not much we didn't like although a medium glass of wine was €9😒 we didn't include breakfast as it was expensive and we had 2 vegetarians and 2 children so never value for money there.

Modern building in an excellent location with good motorway links and attached food services. Electric chargers in the carpark were great. The room was large, clean, and had an iron and ironing board which was a great addition. Good bathroom and shower. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast.

The carpark was more or less full when we arrived. Likely due to a conference or meeting that was going on at the same time.
