When traveling north from FL, we try to go as far as we can until it gets dark. This landed us in Harrisonburg, VA. We only stop to sleep, so we aren't looking for an all inclusive place to stay. Looking for a clean place and good price, we happened upon this Howard Johnson's They always had a reputable name so we stopped. Best choice we made. Clean, fresh and surrounded by many places to have a quick dinner. Right off 81, it was in a super on/off area. The staff was friendly and helpful. Next trip up we will stay again. A+

If we complain about a room to stop for the night, we would be very hard to please. Price was great.

over all a great price and the room was great. really nothing bad to say. everything was great and the value was perfect. and plus it was right near everything. will recommand it this place to anyone ccoming in town.

The only thing i will say was that there was beer can and the room was a little dirty. but we had some cleanning stuff and it was not a big deal. I understand how staffing is and trust me it did not effect our stay. it took 10 mins to clean it up. after the 1st night the room was clean nicely

Conveniently located off I-81 and close to several local eateries Comfortable bed Amazing pillows Immaculately clean. I have stayed here a few times now and have no clue where other reviews mention the rooms not being clean. My room is always absolutely immaculate. Nothing to dislike. The front staff are professional-not necessarily welcoming-but not rude either.

There can be some sketchy looking characters at the hotel however that was few and far between

The location was good. I was grateful for the nearby restaurant, and the food there was good. Swati went to extra trouble to make sure there was a chair in the room for my brother, which I appreciated.

The breakfast was fine. I would have preferred more non-sweet and sugary options. Grits would have been good, and some whole=grain toast with butter. Thanks for the breakfast anyway.

We did not have the breakfast due to time constraints in our schedule. We were very pleased with the accommodations, location and price as well as the staff interactions. We will explore staying here on other occasions.

Property looks recently upgraded. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and TV had ample channel selection. Also free WiFi and a limited but nice continental breakfast included. A good value at half the price of what other hotels charge during game day weekends.

Accommodations are basic but what you’d expect for an inexpensive hotel. Certainly adequate for a one night stay.

The lady at the front desk was nice. The bed and pillows were comfy although the room colors are from the 70's. They had a coffee machine with free coffee in the room.

I requested a non-smoking room and my room smelled like smoke. The door latch was missing.

The room we were staying is perfect for us, bed-very comfortable, cleaning everyday! Staff very helpfull, cleaners were nice and bery friendly!

Desk clerk very friendly. My hometown for brief family visit. Pet friendly and location make this spot our go to stay. 1st time we gad to pay for pets. Ok breakfast selection now offered. Fresh fruit would be nice option.

Shortly after arriving all tv and internet went down for remainder of stay. Hubby could not work online in evening.
