It was convenient for the places we patronized. The price was decent, and the hotel was gorgeous!! The other gentleman in the hallway was quite nice and told us to enjoy our stay!!

The young gentleman who checked us in wasn't very friendly. Just blah, the other older gentleman was so enthusiastic and sweet. They could use microwaves, and the pool had nowhere to sit inside. It would've been nice to enjoy the pool for a bit. The state of the pool situation just wasn't worth it. Just wanted some relaxation time, even if it would've been for 30 minutes. They were yelling and screaming. I wouldn't care if the kids were there, but it was all the yelling and screaming. Plus, the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly. The lock wouldn't line up to the hole. Plus, no exhaust fan!

Beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice and clean. Lobby & gym were modern and clean. Lots of places to sit and relax around hotel. Front desk staff was friendly. Location on JMU campus was super convenient for campus and walking into town.

Indoor pool looked terrible, but we didn’t use it. The breakfast at the on site cafe was poor. Front desk staff wanted us to move our parked car to another level so they could clean the parking garage, that was annoying and not convenient. Bathroom could have used a privacy fan and towel hooks.

From the public areas to the rooms, the whole hotel is gorgeous. The design is simple but elegant and everything is sparkling clean. The pool was beautiful, there were amenities such as guest laundry and an attached restaurant/cafe, and beautiful outdoor spaces with some grass. Parking was directly attached to the building and only $5 for a one night stay. Our 2 Queen Bed room was huge, had stunning windows, a very large tv and a mini fridge. The bathroom was clean and stocked and the beds were comfortable. The property, including the parking garage, is wheelchair friendly. Every staff member we spoke with was helpful and friendly.

The bathtub did not drain well and the water was ankle deep within minutes of starting the shower. The pool was so cold even the kids couldn't stand it. We were warned by multiple guests when we got to the pool and the kids were quickly turning blue. It was a super hot weekend and this isn't something id complain about normally but it was extremely out of the ordinary cold. Unusable cold.

Everything about the hotel was 5 stars! The lobby was gorgeous and the location was perfect. Every staff member we encountered was kind and professional. The restaurant was delicious too! And my kids loved the pool!

The pillows were terrible! For such a beautiful hotel I was expecting high quality bedding. All 6 pillows in our room were different and all uniquely atrocious. Some were thick, some thin, none were soft, most were lumpy, a couple were hard. Also the "comforter" was a fleece blanket between 2 sheets. It wasn't a comforter at all and it wasn't soft or comfortable. The pillows need to be trashed and new, good quality ones purchased for all rooms. And it would be nice if the hotel invested in duvets so we had real blankets to sleep under.

had to pay for parking for no reason, breakfast not included. and everything looks the same in the hallways so gets a bit confusing which way your going in and out. shower had no door so it was cold and made a mess of water outside the shower. Lobby area was kind of rowdy with the resteraunt and bar. room was pretty normal hotel quality so kind of expensive for what it actually is. Late check out not an option.

The room was comfortable and a good size. It was clean and had a good view of campus through the window. The bar in the lobby was wonderful and the staff was friendly. The location of Hotel Madison is excellent.

I would like a couch or lounge chair in the room for casual seating. The room didn't have that and I'm not a good sleeper. So in the middle of the night I used the 2nd bed in the room so as not to disturb my wife. Also, the parking garage was difficult to navigate on Saturday because there were only a few spots available and others parked poorly leaving little room to squeeze into spots.

I am a JMU Alum and this is the BEST Hotel Harrisonburg has ever had!! The hotel offers a Top Notch Staff ,Excellent Room Accommodations, Delicious Food , Great Entertainment, and so much more. I would love to see them extend the hours of their live music, the lobby bar , and food service an hour or longer especially on the weekends! Thank you Hotel Madison ! Customer Service! Always so pleased and happy when I stay at Hotel Madison!

The hotel is beautiful, our view of the downtown from the 7th floor was incredible. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Having a restaurant “Monty’s” to grab a bite was super convenient and the food was good. I wish I had time to try more of it. The hotel staff was awesome, I would definitely stay there again.

Wish there was a microwave in the room other than that everything was great.

Everything! The Hotel Madison is beautiful and so, so clean! Some of the staff are students or former students of the James Madison University and are very friendly and fun. Dinner and breakfast at their restaurant is so convenient and good. The location is great right off 81 with a quaint little walkable downtown area with great restaurants.

There’s nothing not to like.
