Welcoming & hospitable staff. Great location. The room & bathroom were clean & spacious. It was quieter than expected we were on the main road.

The hotel was in an exccellent position. Close to the station and very close to the centre of Oxford. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was clean with an excellent bathroom. THe beds were really comfortable and the the room was quiet even though it was next to some sort of extractor machinery, The double glazing worked very well. The wifi was good and the television was fine.

There was an issue with the hot water in the shower. It took ages to come hot and one evening, the hot water failed - it was lukewarm warm. We did report it. We had breakfast in the cafe/restuarant next to the hotel and were disappointed with the standard of the food. It was cheap white bread, hardly any butter and expensive for what we received. The server was not at all welcoming and the coffee was mediocre. Would not recommend it.

A very positive check in and check out experience. The ladies on front desk were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. Location was very good, close to train station and a short walk to the town centre, theatre, shopping centre etc.

The shower head in room 210 wasn't working properly and sent a slim jet of tepid temperature water, instead of a shower. I was only there for one night so not too worried. Reported to the ladies on reception who said they would look into it. I had read previous reviews on the noise levels on rooms facing the front (which mine was). I took earplugs and they did the job!

The room was clean and very quiet. Staff were always helpful. There was a kettle and coffee and tea in the room. It is close to the bus and train station, and quite close to shopping and the University. A grocery store is next door. The room has an A/C unit which allowed you to control the temperature. The bathroom was spacious and very clean.

The King size bed was definitely not a king. We also had to ask for extra bedding as what was provided was too small for two ppl. There is no fridge in the room. You have to leave your key at the desk. But for Oxford, this hotel is very reasonable and comfortable.

The reception were most friendly and helpful! No lift but they helped with the luggage. Room 207 was spacious with fantastic panoramic view facing the train station. Very clean and comfortable bedding and room. Hot choc, cookies, still and sparkling water refilled daily. Off site parking only 10GBP per day (no multiple entries). Advise for car park : get address from hotel first, park at long term car park, 2min short walk and easy to pull big luggage to hotel, check-in and pay for the parking at hotel (via app). Good value overall.

A little walk from city center, tired after whole day of activities.

Location was perfect, close to the train station, city centre and Oxford colleges. Very clean, spacious, value for money and staff very friendly and professional (couldn't do enough for you). Despite being in the city centre, had a great night's sleep (couldn't hear traffic noise from within the room which was great). Also, looked after luggage even after departure time so we could collect in the afternoon on our way back to the train station. Will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Although no breakfast included , the breakfast in the adjoining cafe was lovely. So nothing negative to report.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great! The location was excellent and near the station which made check in easy and convenient. The staff where very friendly and helpful, we loved that they offered for us to leave bags in reception after we had checked out, it was very convenient and meant that we could go into town to get breakfast easily, with out having to worry about our bags.

The only minor problem we had was that I had checked in earlier and written my sisters name on the form, My sister's train was delayed and I had popped back into town to get something, I had left the key at reception. However when she arrived and I was out, reception would not giver her the key. It wasn't minor problem as I arrived a few minuets later but it would have been nice if she could have gone straight up so she could have a shower and drop her bags off. As it was she had to wait in reception for five minuets. I had not left message with reception but I hadn't thought it would be necessary.

I loved that the hotel was a stones thrown from the train station. The family room was big, clean and very comfortable. There were extra towels and bedding in the cupboard if we needed it and the free soap and shower gel smelt so good! The room had air con but all windows were also able to be opened which we liked as we like fresh air. The receptionist was so welcoming and friendly!

It was quite noisey during the night but that's because of its central location. That's not the hotels fault but if you want a quieter stay this may not be ideal for you. No other negatives otherwise

Great central location and very spacious room.

The room was a little outdated and there is an awkward hallway between the bedrooms and the bathroom, but there is a lot of space to move around and the bathroom was large and modern/recently renovated. It also would have been extremelly helpful if there was an elevator, since lugging heavy luggage up a narrow wooden staircase is difficult, however, the staff was so kind and offered to bring it up for us.

A very pleasant place to stay between Oxford train station and the centre of town - a short walk to reach the colleges, shops, restaurants etc. Our room on the second floor was spacious, clean and quiet, with air conditioning and a nice bathroom. The staff on front desk were extremely welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast at the cafe attached to the hotel.

For the price it would have been nice to have breakfast at the cafe either included in the price or discounted. The water pressure in the shower was very low during our one-night stay but that may have been a temporary thing.
