One of the best hotels we’ve been to. Beautiful and clean room, comfortable bed and pillows (which is very important for us when traveling, never had bed this comfortable in a hotel), amazing breakfast-anything you can wish for, staff super nice and friendly, they cater to your needs, maybe random but they also had amazing smelling shower gels, you dont need to bring yours. We had to leave early for an early flight and they made us a little lunch box night before, so thank you girls for a wonderful experience in lovely Rome. Would definitely come back here again and recommend to everyone.

Hotel is just a bit outside of city center, but for us it wasn’t a big problem. You have a bus station in front of the hotel and we used an app called “Moovit” which saved us- you just type in where you want to go and it tells you which bus lines or metro lines to use and when, and it gives you multiple options, so you can easily manage around town. A little tip if you want to use electric scooters- prepare your paypal or apple pay or a safepay card because we didnt have those so we couldnt use them because of that.

the hotel is a very charming historic building that sits in the middle of a green space. The staff is exceedingly nice and courteous. The breakfast is absolutely exceptional, very varied and tasty. The room was comfortable, well decorated and had plenty of natural light - even though it was on a semi-basement floor.

About the hotel, nothing really. The only question to have in mind is that it is a bit of a walk to get to reliable public transportation (subway). The bus lines around the location are extremely unreliable. BUT there is a taxi stand right next to the hotel, and prices are reasonable.

Mangili Gardens is a lovely small boutique hotel on the outskirts of the Borghese Gardens. The people were incredibly nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Our room was very comfortable. The bathroom was small with not much space to store things but the shower was forceful and worked well. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Homey rather than elegant.

If it is your first time visiting Rome, this may not be the place for you. The neighborhood is beautiful but there are very limited choices for dining within walking distance and most of the sites one might visit are some distance away. Also be aware there are many stairs to navigate to get to the front door of the hotel.

We liked EVERYTHING about Mangili Garden Hotel - especially the kind and competent staff. They were friendly, accommodating and all around nice people. Thank you Serena, Lara, Marina and everyone else who helped make our stay perfect. We arrived with a three day booking and loved it so much we decided to stay in Rome an additional three days. Our room was spacious and charming and impeccably clean. The common room where a tasty and varied breakfast is served is lovely and comfortable. There is a bar for evening aperitifs with excellent jazz selections playing in the background. This lovely Villa drew us in - we didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning soon!

Loved everything about it.

The villa is very dreamy, our room in the superior floor had high ceilings, the room and bathroom was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and made delicious aperols, we loved the breakfast selection as well as the salmon omelette. Also the Villa Borghese park next to it - the most lovely park in Rome.

It's a little bit stupid to say this but in the morning we couldn't sleep because of the birds chirping:) If the room and windows had better insulation, the villa would have been the perfect stay in Rome. Also we had some issues with public transport to get downtown and back to the hotel, maybe it was because of Easter weekend or maybe that's the way the public transport in Rome operates by default. But it wasn't that far away.

Everything -This was a fabulous small boutique hotel from entering through the gate & walking up the steps to the front door it was so welcoming & inviting . The small bar/ breakfast room was full of ambience & breakfast & buffet food to die for 😀 Our bedroom was delightful & everything one needed to relax. Every evening from about 5-7 they put out a small finger buffet that you could enjoy with a drink this was such a lovely touch . This hotel is about 40 mins walk from the centre but that’s why we choose it . We walked most places but there is a taxi rank close to hotel so need to worry . There’s a few restaurants near bar also a lovely wine bar .

I debated between staying at a 4 star hotel and this one since it had such high ratings. My instinct to stay here was correct. The staff and setting was delightful. The garden made a lovely atmosphere and the room and breakfast was lovely. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. I spend a lot of time in hotels and this one was one I would spend more time in. There were lots of extras like slippers that really made a difference as well.

My only critique of the hotel was that it wasn't completely clear if the happy hour drinks were included or not. (They weren't), but I loved the food and atmosphere--so it was only a little thing.

The hotel room was impeccably clean, with fresh, crisp sheets that added to the comfort of our stay. The staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming, making us feel truly valued as guests. The room was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It felt cozy and homely, providing the perfect balance of elegance and comfort.

The breakfast was abundant and offered a good variety, with delicious pastries that were fresh and flavorful. However, there were limited options for vegans (only cherry tomatoes and avocado).

We were warmly welcomed by the staff at this charming hotel which is on the lower floors of a converted villa. It is in a very nice neighborhood next to the Borghese Gardens surrounded by other lovely homes and lots of trees. We were able to walk to the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo or easily catch a bus or cab. After a day of walking the historic center's streets jammed with tourists, it was a welcome relief to return to this quiet neighborhood and enjoy dinner at the very good local restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious and could be taken outside in the pretty garden where green parrots flew through the big old trees. Staff were very helpful, making reservations, giving directions and responding to all our requests.

Rooms on the first flor have higher ceilings and larger windows, while our room on the first floor was darker. I recommend asking for a room on the main floor.

The hotel was excellent—beautiful spacious rooms, modern and clean. The staff were also welcoming and friendly. The interiors of the hotel as a whole were also lovely. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and it was great to order from a selection of hot breakfast options together with the more traditional pastry and cold meat options.

The only complaint I have is that the coffee they made at breakfast in the mornings was lukewarm/ bordering on cold every time. I did attempt to ask them to make it extra hot but think this may have gotten lost in translation. Additionally, unfortunately, public transport to and from the hotel was a bit of a mission. This has nothing to do with the hotel's service, but it is something to consider when you are staying here. The buses are quite unreliable and often late.
