This place is an undiscovered gem. Real value for money and probably overlooked by most travellers wanting close proximity to Zion's touristy side,in contrast this place is peaceful and apart from the friendly welcome and ongoing great service it had an amazing water canyon within a mile.No crowds ,a short 1 mile hike beside a creek to a small flat ,waterfall, and slot canyon.The rooms are generous sized and the breakfast A1.!!! Highly recommended that you choose to stay here.Hildale also has a fascinating local history ,being a refuge for the FLDS Mormon community , many of whom still live here..We found this Motel to be unconditionally friendly and welcoming Stuart and Carole

I booked the jacuzzi suite. The place was strange, the lady at the front desk seemed bothered by my asking questions about the area. She didn't tell us where to park, how to get upstairs, just handed me the key and told me to go to the back of the hotel. We ventured down the street and thru the gates into the back of the compound. The mansion is large, the back contains two sets of outside stairs. Once upstairs we went down a hallway and found our room. The room was huge. It had a king size bed, leather sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs, tv and credenza. The walk-in closet had a microwave and refrigerator. The carpet was old, it had some slight stains and the color had faded from cleaning. You could only tell because the carpet went up the wall to a chair rail, and the color was a light mint green. All the trim was in golden oak. It was like a room from 1982. The carpet was probably 40 years old but still very tight. I actually took off my shoes because it didn't feel right walking on it with them on. This was some very expensive well made carpet. The workmanship on the house is quite impressive. But it is dated,but that didn't bother us. It was clean, quiet and comfortable.

The bed was quite high. Probably 30 inches. I'm short and I had to run and jump to get on it. And it was a king bed the bedspread was too small. The towels were awful. They worked but they were dingy with blue stripes. They looked like prison towels. There were no cups- Two water filtration points and no way to capture it. No coffee maker.

Only after we arrived did we learn that this 14 bedroom building was part of a compound constructed for FLDS leader Warren Jeffs. Our very large room with 10' ceiling, walk-in closet, plush walls, two comfortable queen beds and large bathroom was more than we would expect at a fine hotel. Everything seemed clean, quiet and comfortable. I appreciated that the room was dark and the mini-heat pump was quiet and efficient. The free breakfast was delicious and far superior to normal motel breakfasts. Route to Zion NP was an easy drive.

Difficult to find. We saw no sign on main highway passing by Hildale. There was no conspicuous sign at the hotel. Arrived around 5 pm. It took 5 to 10 minutes to locate an employee to check us it - we rang desk bell several times, called two phone numbers and left messages, walked around the building and grounds and saw no one. Only one washcloth (I only mention this because another reviewer had experienced the same thing.) A second one was produced upon request. I'm not giving this hotel an exceptional rating because of the uncertainty of what's going on here. I believe for our first night there were 4 other guests and the second night only 2, but yet there were many people eating breakfast. (None were the other guests.) We minded our own business and didn't ask questions.

The hotel turned out to be pretty clean, nice and with good facilities. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great.

It turned out to be a preetty long drive from zion (which you wouldn't expect with the hotel name). The town is very small and when we arrived at night it was incredibly dark and alone everything around it

This was a spectacular stay for us. The hotel is off the beaten path just enough that it is quiet. The room and bathroom were huge and the bed was very comfortable. The mountain view was just gorgeous all around! Very clean room and property. Breakfast was included, and it was amazing! Several restaurants and bars are very close by. Loved it.

The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean. The attendant gave a good recommendation for dinner, the salad bar at a grocery store, that I ate in the community park during sundown, very nice.

The flourescent bulb doesn't work well in a lamp with a 3-way bulb socket.

Room was spacious, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Hildale is kinda the middle of nowhere. No real dining options in the evenings and hotel is about 50 Mins from Zion National Park--didn't realize that but we made it work.

The room was really quiet. I couldn't hear anyone else in the entire hotel. The morning breakfast was good, changed daily so it was nice to have different options. The hotel was clean and tidy.

The bed pillows were terrible. There were only two towels, no daily service, which is fine, but I wasn't told there wouldn't be daily room cleaning. No bathroom rug.

Room was very spacious; huge closet, comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, was asked if we’d like additional omelet.

Staff/owner was away from desk when we were going up checkout, but returned a bit later

The room was very spacious, I appreciate it had two sink areas as my best friend used one and I was able to use the other. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious.
