Leon on the front desk was friendly, helpful, polite and accommodating Reasonably priced bar in the hotel open until 9pm Iron/ironing board in the room Lots of free parking in a car park close by available Campus surroundings are very pretty, clean and felt very safe Not a 24 hour reception only until 9pm however given a phone number for security for 24 hour contact who I saw patrolling frequently so I felt safe in the knowledge if I needed to call someone they were there although I never did Spacious, bright and nicely decorated room Clean Great Wi-Fi Nice views from the room Mostly quiet especially as I stayed in the summer holidays so most students weren't on campus 2pm check in is earlier than usual which is good The rooms have a/c which is important to me in order to keep the room cool and get a good nights sleep in the summer months Tea/coffee facilities in the room with biscuits which is a nice touch Bottles of water in the room on arrival

No fridge in the room or buckets of ice available A few cobwebs that have been missed with the cleaning Some noise from other rooms so the soundproofing isn't the best Check out at 10am is too early Small shower cubicle which meant it wasn't the easiest shower to enjoy

Excellent location for the University and the parkrun, which is right on the doorstep!! Easy parking in nearby car park. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, let us have a 1 hour later check out time of 11am for a £10 charge, this allowed us all to shower after parkrun! Rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and good air conditioning, also very little noise. Would recommend.

We liked everything about this hotel although we did not sample the breakfast as this is described as a takeaway bag at the weekends, but easy to get to nearby cafes as an alternative. Shame there are no electric car charging facilities on the campus.

Location for the town centre and our venue on the river was excellent. Free parking a few minutes from the reception area. Located on the University of Northampton campus - lovely. Appreciate that it is out of term time so very few students around. Bedroom was comfortable, with a fan due to the heatwave...not sure why aircon not installed in a new hotel though.

The shower cubicle was small and there was only an overhead rainfall showerhead...my partner is 6'4" and could not stand up straight under it! The shelf above the basin is awkward when washing your face...but otherwise a pleasant bathroom. There were various bright lights in the room that were distracting when trying to sleep - the TV standby, and a couple in the ceiling though not sure what for...

The location was lovely and the room was really nice and super clean. I loved that the campus had a country trail so I could enjoy a morning walk before heading off to my destination for the day.

I found the room a little on the warm side and there was no way of opening the window any wider... I don't like using fans as they keep me awake. I also found the blinking light on the phone and several other lights a little disturbing of my sleep. This was also not helped by noise from the students (which I guess would have been less had I shut my window, but without aircon, this would have been even hotter). It would have been nice to have had the reception open when I arrived. I appreciate it was a late arrival, 10.30pm however as a woman on my own to have to stand alone in a deserted hotel lobby for around 15 minutes waiting for someone to come and let me in wasn't the best start to my stay.

The continental breakfast could do with more vegan options (even some vegan spread instead of just butter for the toast). Some hand soap in the bathroom would have been nice.

It’s a lovely hotel, and quite well priced. The staff are very helpful and check in is super swift. Small things could be improved 1. Blinds on the windows - those in the opposite campus flats have a direct view into your bedroom! 2. There is an absence of any kind of ventilatio. The building is exposed to direct sunlight so the room is almost too warm once it hits 20 degrees C externally 3. The sealed bathroom unit is quite small. Fine for the average human, but not if you need more space than average 4. There is a lack of basic signage; the door to the lifts has no signage on either side signally entry to the Reception and / or Lift and Stairs to all rooms

Nice hotel, clean and free parking available. However I was allocated a room on top (4th) floor and it was too hot.

Also initially they gave me a disabled double room which I haven't asked because I'm not disabled. I spoke to reception lady and she swapped to a normal one. Apparently there's no ventilation, air flow in the hallway either. The room came with a free standing fan but obviously it wasn't enough to cool down. Would've been nice to have a proper air con. Overall it's a decent hotel. Just need an air con/ventilation on the top floor and in the rooms rooms

lovely location easy access to both countryside / river walks and the town

bit warm in the room even with radiators turned off. Room 25 is disabled (don’t think we asked for this) with a wet room for the bathroom. when having a shower water goes across all floor and even went under door into main bedroom. Mentioned to staff and hopefully one they can easily rectify for future guests.

The location is excellent with a ten minute walk into the centre of Northampton and the hotel site has free car parking Very good breakfast buffet in the cafe opposite week days and a reasonable continental breakfast in the hotel lounge at weekends. The landscaped campus setting on the river is attractive

The access is not signed from the main road and the Sat Nav post code is for a residential street 200 yards from the hotel. The students are noisy at night one group rolled home at 4am. There is no air con in the room so the temperature is difficult to control

Staff were welcoming and helpful. The venue was well positioned, quiet but close to the town centre and friends with whom we wanted to meet. The room was well proportioned, and very comfortable

Car parking was not immediately outside the property. We were not able to leave the car on site while we visited town in the morning. We were asked to pay an additional fee, which we declined.
