Everything was lovely, but it looks more like a 4 stars than a 5 stars hotel

5 star hotel with no gym We booked the spa one day, to arrive and see it 1) full of people, we didn't have space for us 2) dirty 3) no towels available. The staff was with a customer providing a treatment, but in those occasions the hotel would need to have additional staff to take care of the place. I passed on the feedback to reception, but the manager didn't even apologize

We had a superior room in the main house which had some of the original house features remaining. Wooden ceiling, mosaic floor. Lovely comfortable bed and good bathroom. The restaurant and breakfast was excellent and so were all the staff. The hotel is located in the centre of the city which suited us and you walked straight out into the main streets with wonderful shops, restaurants and bars. Granada is surrounded by hills and has a lovely atmosphere.

Unfortunately on our two night stay the Spa was closed due to a burst pipe and there were no treatments or access to the pool and facilities. As this was the last 2 days of our holiday we had been particularly looking forward to the Spa. Nevertheless it didn't spoil our stay and we would happily return.

Gorgeous property all around!! Small mixed spa.

Steam room was not working at the spa. Even though the parking belongs to the hotel they charge €26 to park a car.

It was gracious of the staff to give us a room upgrade. Especially as this stay was really important to us. They also offered a bottle of Cava for my birthday. Very nice . The King size bed was so huge that I barely could find my husband !

The only shadow is that we felt the breakfast does not meet the standards expected by a 5 stars. It lacks variety and it would be good to have more activity and movement like some chef preparing the eggs in front of the public, more hot cooked options like green vegetables, sausages, potatoes, spinach etc etc... not everyone can eat raw vegetables (which were the only option). More fresh fruits and freshly squeezed juices would also be appreciated. The options with yogurt or curds were scarce which is a pity as Spain has a lot of dairy products. We felt adding a self service big coffee machine could also be a good improvement and would make people more autonomous . Benedict eggs should be one of your eggs options.

The room was superb - spacious, light, airy and very well appointed. As we were staying 3 nights, we were given a rather special room, fairly close the reception area, which occupied a corner of the building - highly recommended. This was certainly the best hotel we stayed at during our 2 week tour of southern Spain. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast too and Granada - well what can one say 'it's divine!'.

It's hard to find fault with the hotel - if one is being picky, then I would say the spa facilities could be a little more comprehensive & the massage slightly less expensive.

The location was very good and the staff was friendly and very professional. The hotel is a mixture of Modern and classic style and was very clean.

Some of the sockets in the room were not working. The Coffee machine and the bathroom socket were unoperational. It did not matter to me as I was on my own and I just used different ones:). Having said so, on arrival, I was offered an upgrade to a very nice large room, but as I asked to be on a higher floor the room was ready for me straight away and maybe that was why the sockets hadn’t been checked. Otherwise I had a lovely stay. A Nespresso machine at the breakfast buffet would have been lovely and strangely enough there was only one bedside table, 😀, but again, as I was on my own it didn’t matter. The hotel was very nice and I am sure this were isolated issues and anyone staying would have a brilliant time.

Very friendly welcome, reception staff was outstanding in reactivity and kindness (had to find doctor on Sunday, took them half hour). Hotel overall, especially the ancient part. We got an upgrade at arrival (thank you!!) from new part to ancient part. The rooms are spectacular in ceiling height, very complete equipment, large TV, safe etc. (all you'd expect from a 5* but neverhteless), very clean and silent, beautiful 4 night stay in magnificent Granada. Great parking valet service.

First night restaurant staff refused us (it was noon!!) restaurant reservation inside (it was 43°C outside on patio) as the tables supposedly were already prepared for breakfast next morning. Must not happen in a 5* hotel. Reception made it possible for the next night. We really missed a fitness. Only a minor detail but makes a difference: The beds are super comfy. However, if you watch TV and lean against the backwall, the beds slide forward as the floor is either too slippery or the beds could use some rubber feet.

Loved the rooftop deck with river views for breakfast and later, cocktails. Great location for crossing the bridge to Tirana and for walking to the centre. A super young fellow from Cameroon served us most breakfast times and a couple of times in the evening, very, very pleasant and good at his job. We ate in the restaurant downstairs one night and it was good despite the waiter accidentally throwing a bottle of water over me. Lol. Our room was really comfortable and had a great private deck with view of the river-loved that.

Nothing really, but there are several bars right beside the hotel so the party noise was significant and ran late on the weekend.

The location was excellent. We walked to a flamenco dinner the first night and found Granada a beautiful city. The hotel welcome was good - it was nice to have the car taken for us to parking. We were in the Palacio - lovely clean room and a good size. Small complementary bottle of wine for my husband's birthday (could have been bigger ;). Excellent breakfast. Lovely outdoor area for drinks/lunch with vines/flowers - very beautiful. Spa was small but really relaxing - basically a huge jacuzzi, not really deep enough for a pool but great to relax in. Helpful and kind staff, gave us a map and booked taxi to the Alhambra.

Parking was an extra 26E per day which perhaps could have been more clear. Room on a main road in centre of the city - not too noisy but obviously traffic going past until late so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper! Our shower settings had a mind of their own - very difficult to get the temperature right but we persevered!! I guess this is to be expected in the plumbing of a genuine old Palacio however!

The hotel is a wonderful building that has been beautifully renovated. All personnel are friendly and helpful and we enjoyed eating both lunch and dinner in the restaurant in addition to a pleasant breakfast.

We had use their valet service for parking. Our luggage had been stored while we went sightseeing after checkout. I wanted our luggage so I could add a personal item to the luggage. We also had a bag with liquid refreshments which we would’ve preferred to carry to the car ourselves but were not given our luggage in advance. Their valet took everything out and loaded it. Sadly, when we got to our destination, one of the bottles had broken and had spilled everywhere. That could only have happened if the valet had not handled the bag with care. What a mess!
