From arrival to (sadly) departure, we were welcomed with open arms and really made to feel comfortable. The property is exceptionally clean, and the staff are very attentive. There are outstanding views of Etna and the surrounding area. You can even head on up to the winery for an intimate wine tasting, if that tickles your fancy. All round - perfect

Nothing, it was perfect

We are a couple with 2 kids had the most wonderful stay at this amazing hotel. The property is beautifully designed and incredibly peaceful, with a calming atmosphere that made it the perfect escape. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, and the views were simply breathtaking—you can see Mount Etna in the distance, surrounded by endless vineyards. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the service. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They made us feel so welcomed, and really made our vacation better. We left already dreaming of coming back—this place is truly special. Thank you for a perfect vacation.

Dimora Cottanera has been turned into a magical property. Perhaps it is just being in the Etna wine region, or perhaps it is the beautiful property and setting, or some combination of the two that made our stay in Etna so enchanting. All I know is that I would come back in a heartbeat. Our room was quite small, but as it was in the villa, there is plenty of room outside of the private room to spread out. Further, the shower and bathroom were quite large, which made the overall stay more comfortable. The property is expansive, so there is always a nook to find yourself away from other people, including the spacious gym, which overlooks an old wine cellar/winemaking area, the sauna and spa, the reading/sitting area in the old wine cellar, the breakfast nook, and the room that overlooks the vineyard where apertivo is served. The concierge--Vincenzo, in our case--arranged for us to have massages which were excellent (especially the lymphatic drainage massage), and also arranged for us to have a light dinner at the hotel, in addition to a wine tasting lunch at the winery next door. We sat by the gorgeous pool, at which you can order wine, light bites, and cocktails. The Dimora was paradise and I only wish that we could have stayed longer.

Nothing, it was an excellent hotel.

This is a little gem of a place, set in beautiful countryside. All the amenities we could have wished for were provided - and the pillows were the most comfortable we have ever slept on! We had a really enjoyable wine tasting with Guilia at the winery and the staff were kind enough to arrange a late supper for us one evening on our return from the sunset Etna tour. It feels as if everyone (both at the hotel and winery) are involved in making your stay a really enjoyable experience. We loved it!

The soundproofing between the rooms in the area we stayed in is not the best... (!)

Dimora Cottanera was a real highlight! What an incredibly beautiful property. The views and the gardens are spectacular and having access to an infinity pool was a real luxury. The room was sensational and the bathroom was huge! We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite. The staff we amazing, so welcoming and friendly and they helped to make our stay a memorable one. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had. Our stay here was truly memorable and we would highly recommend Dimora Cottanera to anyone travelling through this wine district.

That we had to leave….

An absolutely incredible experience at Dimora Cottanera! The property is beyond stunning with increase views of their winery and the valley below. There are plenty of comfy sitting area sprinkled around the property where you can enjoy a glass of while you drink in the breathtaking views. Breakfast in the morning is complementary and consists of a variety of fresh cakes, fruit, a selection of egg dishes and fresh coffee. Our experience at Dimora Conttanera was nothing short of dreamy and the staff running the property are so helpful and kind. Thank you to Serena and Vincenzo for making this stop on our vacation unforgettable-we can’t wait to return!

Wouldn’t change a thing!

The peacefulness of the setting was evident.. The architect and designers did a splendid job on the layout and features of the property.

As a technical professional, not all WiFi access points were installed well. For rooms and common areas, they should be mounted on ceilings, horizontal to the floor; never vertically on walls. The outdoor A/P on the the exterior wall of the spa provided good coverage, but the signal was extremely low by the pool under the awning because of the cement wall. Perhaps add a second A/P to improve coverage for the entire pool area.

Dimora Cottanera is a dream. The b&b which comprises of 9 bedrooms (and they are opening a couple more) only started in September 2023, so we felt privileged enough to have stayed in a truly fabulous place on the first three nights of our honeymoon. The b&b is attached to and apart of the original Cottanera vineyard which does private wine tours and is all family owned. Our room was fantatsic, with a marvelous shower in a cave, and outdoor bath and an indoor bath too. A lot of the furnishings and features are all made out of lava which is a fabulous touch to the view which is, on one side, of Mount Etna and the other side, of fields of vineyards and gardens. The pool is lovely and clean and there is also a wellness spa which both my husband and I used for massages. An excellent way to wind down after a busy wedding weekend. The breakfasts are fully cooked eggs and continental too and on your first night they offer you a cheese and meat board which is delicious. We ate in all local restaurants recommend by the staff which are a short 10 minute drive away and they are exceptionally communicative and responsive to any questions or needs you have, including booking any restaurants you need and recommending any local activities to do. All in all, what a wonderful spot in dreamland. Thank you!

There are no negatives to this fabulous spot, but if you are looking for a restaurant in the accommodation you won’t find one! It’s a breakfast only spot and you will need to go out for lunch and dinner which you need to have your own car to get to. Not a downside, just a heads up.

The whole setting in the middle of a vineyard overlooking mount Etna is truly stunning. The staff is very hospitable and the facilities are perfect! You need to stay here!

That we had to leave!

Beautiful grounds with properly cared landscaping and good taste in design and furniture selection; adds up to the atmosphere. Outstanding staff! Delicious breakfast and great selection of fresh fruits, juices, coffee, and homemade cakes. They offer well-made charcuterie options for the evening to pair with their wine. The spa was great too. But the hot tub was cold so we didn’t use it. Es comfortable, bathroom nice, great view from bedroom. I would recommend it and would come back!
