The bath had lots of hot water. Staff very pleasant except for one.

One evening, we couldn't park there as 2 vehicles were taking up 2 spaces each. I asked about it at the bar. The lady there was very off hand, almost rude, gave no apology, shrugged her shoulders. She said they belonged to 2 people who had left their cars there for the night to walk home after drinking. Clearly those people take precedence over guests. It happened a second night too, but there was 1 space left. Again, selfish parking. That's put us off revisiting. We had to ask for the heating to be put on.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed had a good nights sleep. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. All freshly cooked on hot plates, amazing food especially the eggs and sausages. Also had cereal, yogurt,fruit juice and hot drinks and toast. We also had a meal in the evening which was freshly cooked so hot and delicious and big portions excellent. Also minutes walk from cathedral and centre, had parking at hotel.

Just very dated, but very clean. We had a top floor room with great views across ST David’s but the view was blurred as the window was blurry. Bathroom was a bit of mould but good hot shower head.

A group of nine of us stayed in seven rooms for four nights B&B in June 2024. All of us thought the hotel was excellent, the rooms were very clean and tidy and all thought the beds were very comfortable. Staff were excellent, particularly Aaron who greeted us each morning, and took nine different breakfast orders, he was professional, friendly and very good at his job, he is an asset to the hotel. All our party thought the breakfasts were very good. Good portion sizes, quality and excellently cooked and served. We have no hesitation in recommending The City Inn. Keep up the good work and thank you all. Looking forward to our next visit to The City Inn.

No Bad points all good

Very friendly staff, couldn't fault the food, parking was great. The location was great, it's a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. The positives totally outweigh the negatives, don't let them put you off. St. Davids is a beautiful city with a breathtaking Cathedral, must be visited and seen.

We stayed in room 9 but couldn't see the beautiful view because the double glazed pane had filled with condensation a new double glazed unit would be a quick fix. Minor mould around Bath, shower curtain rail kept coming apart. Although the staff were really nice and friendly, the bar was dark and tired, it just needed brightening up.

Our check-in was quick & easy, hotel staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bath was a bonus for our young daughter! Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Great location very close to city (as the name suggests) We enjoyed staying here and would certainly stay again. Well done City Inn!

We were at the top floor, the second (narrow-ish) flight of stairs could be difficult for some to carry their luggage up as the corners are a little "squeezey" (I am sure that the wonderful staff would not mind assisting any who need help!) Otherwise, nothing of any significance to note

Location was amazing,plenty of parking space at the City Inn,5 min walk to the quaint city and the Cathedral. Breakfast was plentiful and served by very polite,friendly staff,and we stayed in room 7,which was a two bedroom family room,very comfortable,extremely clean and full beverage tray with variety of tea,coffee,galaxy hotdrinks and biscuits,room was a good size for us 3,overall enjoyed the stay at this perfect located B and B,which was quiet at night.Will deffo return and recommend to family and friends.All staff were amazing,friendly and helpful.Diolch.

Nothing to dislike

I spent two nights here and would recommend it. The room although small was beautifully clean with everything needed. Good hot water in the shower, a quiet night, friendly and efficient staff and an excellent cooked breakfast, all at a reasonable (for these days) price. And it is a family business. It is about three minutes walk to the centre of the town and another five minutes to the cathedral.

The only grouch I had was the breakfast coffee on Monday morning. As the (filter) coffee on Sunday morning was perfectly acceptable, why was it quite undrinkable the following morning?

It was clean and comfortable with a welcoming feel to it. The staff were helpful. We (family of 4, with a 9 & 13yr old) booked last minute (@4am in the morning in a windy tent!!) due to poor weather when camping down the road. The breakfast was great and the family room was perfect for what we needed. 2 great nights sleep had by us all and a friendly vibe in the family lounge whilst having a drink on the last night.

Really nice room (room 3) with amazing views out to the sea. The room was really big as well, so often when travelling with our son we can feel that we're rammed in together, but here we all felt we had our own space. Good breakfast, cooked to order. The location is excellent, you can walk to the main street easily and to the Cathedral. Parking on site and opposite the only food shop in the city in case you get peckish!

The hotel is a bit tired.

The hotel is small and quiet, but lively in the bar area at night, which we liked. The breakfast was really great and the bar has a homey pub vibe to it. A great pool table too! The room was spacious and the wifi was good. The bathroom was basic but you’re not paying luxury prices. Location is fantastic, very short walk into town and located right by the supermarket.

The shower head was a bit dribble-y in room 11 so a new one would help this.
