the staff at the hotel was great. the food, the beach, the rooms. there are few details that can make the experience the best one. I will like to make a special mention to Jimmy that had a great service attitude.

they should control people selling stuff in the beach, soy they don’t annoy the people staying in the hotel. Also for safety reasons there should be a barrier that limits how close the jet skies and boats can get to the swimmers because the guys with Jet-skies always are going so fast and near the shore that they can crash or harm a person that is inside the water. They should consider building a swimming pool and a dock for the arrivals and departures of the boats.

Lovely room, the entire hotel is set up in a way that feels relaxing. Air con was brilliant. Breakfast was really nice and you chose from a menu of range of things -Food, Smoothie and a coffee. Was delicious. Very clean everywhere I saw. Lots of staff around attending to the beautiful grounds. There was a violinist over dinner which was a nice touch even in low Season. Short boat ride included. Team very communicative over WhatsApp with some last minute questions.

Being low season there wasn’t many people to feel A hotel vibe. Only stayed one night but certainly chill venue and that’s all I wanted to do.

stayed here for a few nights with my friend after spending time in the old town. This was exactly the break we needed away from all the tourist traps. The service was 10/10 and the pictures dont even do justice to how beautiful it was. It was super quiet even when they had day visitors and the playlist was just the right volume to be enjoyed everywhere without disturbing.

The listing said it had a private beach. The beach is secluded but it isnt quite private as a few vendors still come and bother you. Definitely not as bad as a mainland beach and understandable as the only economy on the island is tourism, just not exactly what I expected. The vendors leave you alone with a polite "No, gracias" so not a big deal. I do wish they gave more water included in the room considering the high temperatures. The bottles in the room were very small.

Eteka’s property can easily host small and large groups. The construction is new, rooms are clean and have air conditioning, beach cabanas are comfortable, and the food is excellent (especially the seafood, coconut rice, and artisanal pizza). We enjoyed the nighttime live music. The variety of spaces allows you to meet new people by the fire or find solitude on a rooftop.

Staff could do more to minimize local vendors; while they have nice products and services, their repetitive nature becomes a presence. Also, there is a need for a better, cheaper, more sustainable solution for potable drinking water than bottles.

Beautiful location/island escape with beautiful beaches. Amazing breakfast! Live saxophone player (Thursday - Sunday) in the evening, very cozy. Nice outdoor showers.

Can get very crowded with day tourists especially on Saturdays. Those day guests were prioritized and could exclusively use the nice beach areas whereas hotel guests had to stay either in the sun or under the umbrellas facing the rocks instead of the sandy beach. There is always someone who wants to sell something (jewellery, massages, jet ski rides, etc.). They are not persistent but always around which can be annoying.

Wow! Everything is just enchanting at Eteka. We would have loved to stay longer! You can really calm down in this hotel. The amenities and the attention to every detail are fantastic (great for photos). The boat ride to the island is included, we didn’t even have to pull our suitcase along the beach - hotel staff spotted us right away and carried our suitcase to the boat. Communication with the hotel was easy and fast, as we had to change the boat pickup time last minute. Meals in the restaurant are very delicious, and there is always subtle music playing around the bar which fits the vibe. We can also recommend the massages in the hotel spa. Hotel staff is extremely attentive and the service is superb, throughout the whole stay. Wifi worked well in our room (201). The hotel sells day passes too, and there can be quite a large number of guests coming in (mostly from 10am-4pm) but it never felt crowded and there was always enough space. We didn’t have issues finding sun beds after the guests arrived. The beach was clean and the water too. To us, the value Eteka provides was worth every cent. Sitting in one of the many hammocks with a cocktail and just relaxing felt like paradise!

Be prepared to pay a lot for drinking water, as you have to pay every bottle extra (they only have small bottles and they are not cheap). We had read the reviews so we knew what to expect. As others said, ideally you can bring your own gallon of drinking water with the boat. 99% of Hotel staff spoke Spanish only, so we‘d recommend to learn some basics or use Google Translate. It was not a problem for us!

The social areas, the rooms, the food, the beach, and OMG... THE SPAAAAA. We also had live music on Sunday night and it doesn't get overcrowded with daypass guests. Cocktails and drinks made by Tatan at the bar and how fast Luis helped us with our questions and requests, made the experience even better.

We booked the room that had two beds because I was traveling with a friend but the second bed was actually more like a futon for a couple to lounge by the window, that made the second bed actually very very hard to sleep in for a whole night. But that was the only thing I didn't like

Beautiful property, stylish, super clean, quiet and really chilled. Rooms are excellent. Beach area and outdoor spaces wonderful The Spa was fantastic The staff are super friendly and helpful. You can arrange everything over WhatsApp which is really very handy if the is a language barrier.

Service was very slow at meal times. Expect an hour between ordering and receiving drinks and food! Silly thing but you are in a remote(ish) location. There is no store and for example , a bottle of water - of which they only offer 300ml bottles (very small) is 9.000 cop - Very expensive if staying a couple of days. They should offer larger bottles or free water for staying guests. Check your bill - I had paid for our spa treatments ahead of our visit and online. They tried to charge me again. They also expect tips for every service and I believe they have added them to the bill after we had signed - I’m double checking this. I have no problem tipping fast and efficient service but this was not the case here.

The music, ambience and staff are pure excellence! The variety and quality of food really elevated.

We would prefer a little bit brighter light in bathroom. pillows on hummocks could add a greater value to the relaxing afternoon, and water bowls to wash feet after coming out from water or after the beach would result very convenient and pleasant next to the stairs to the hummocks. It was a little sad to see that the trash from the city was floating in the water - but we guessed there is nothing to be done… *we also appreciated the repellent as we used whole bottle due to the quantity of the mosquitos :))

We had an amazing stay at Eteka beach. It literally felt like paradise, perfect place to stay 1-2 nights and enjoy some peace out of the city. The staff is really friendly and always here to help you. The facilities are amazing, with so many places where you can chill. The food is very very good. The beach is beautiful with a very clean sand.

It is very hard to find a negative aspect to this hotel. I Wouk say that the only thing “missing” is a swimming pool, but it is not a big deal.
