The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was nice that there was someone to greet us when we arrived. The breakfast was great with extra touches like the homemade bread and the offer of more toast etc. The room we stayed in was spacious and well furnished.
The shower room/toilet was small, but it was nice to have this as we thought it was just the bath in the room initially. We could smell a slight odour from the surrounding farm, which may be worse should you need to open window, but this is to be expected due to its location.

The Midtown Farm B&B is a great place to stay. The single en-suite room I stayed in was spacious and well presented , beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. With a super shower. The room had a lovely view overlooking the fields. The room was warm with tea / coffee making facilities and the bed was so comfortable. Janice and Caleb were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb choice of cereal and fruit juice. Freshly cooked breakfast to order and was delicious. Thank you for letting me share your beautiful home. I will visit again sometime. The farm is within walking/ driving distance to Solway Coast Area of outstanding beauty and Watchtree nature reserve. I would definitely recommend as a place to stay.
My stay wasn’t long enough!

Just off the path wall, about 5 miles from bowness is this lovely home. Out of 9-10 places Ive stayed on the Hadrians wall walk, this room had the most space. Quaint home surrounded by farms. The owners, Janice and Caleb are lovely people. This place could be a great spot to stay if you think the walk from Carlisle to Bowness is too much.
Nothing much I didn’t like. Quiet home and I slept very comfortably.

The property was easy to find and beautifully presented. The owners Janice and Caleb were welcoming although I arrived earlier than the time allowed as I thought that 4pm check in must have been an error. That solved we took the chance to go for a drive to the beautiful villages nearby, had lunch at a lovely pub and arrived to find our beautifully appointed room ready. There was secure parking and a fantastic breakfast the next morning. This property has outdoor space to rest as well as very well presented rooms.
I wouldn’t say we didn’t like anything… but not sure the very late check in is necessary as being able to leave luggage and car so you can go for a walk and explore the area would be very welcome. Parking in the tiny village lanes is near impossible.

The breakfasts were very good. The home made yogurt and bread could not have been beaten. The cooked breakfast’s were very good. We had wedding flowers with us these were taken care off, helping them to be fresh on the day. Janice even arrange for us to be pick up to go out for our evening meal on a busy night of a England game.
Everything was good so no problems

Set in the country and at a working farm, it was quiet, peaceful and located in a lovely setting. Hosts Janice and Kaleb were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating.
We prefer a bigger bed but the bed was comfortable.

Lovely location. Really quiet and rural in an interesting and undervisited part of the country. Exceptional breakfast - large choice all cooked to order and lovely homemade bread. Hosts were lovely and went out of their way to help - particularly with regards to my Mum who has limited mobility (room was upstairs but had big shower and there was also a downstairs toilet so no need to go back upstairs during/after breakfast).
Nothing!

Car parking was clearly signed and we were greeted warmly and professionally. We were pleased that we had taken up our hosts offer to book an evening meal at a nearby pub. Room was very clean and comfortable. Several choices for breakfast and ours was excellent. An ideal one night stay for exploring the area.
