The location was great for downtown and beach access. The room was clean and perfect for a couple or small family as it also had a living area with a small kitchenette.Adequate supplies (towels, coffee, dishes, utensils, etc) and housekeeping was great. Breakfast was simple with the basics which was also nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Main part of the inn (lobby, breakfast room, etc.) was a little cooler in temperature than expected so wear appropriate attire to breakfast during the winter months. The staff missed that the coffee machine was out of water one day which was a bummer, but there is a little coffee shop less than a block away.

I slept like a baby!! The bed was very comfortable. They provide really nice bathrobes! A bonus. Shampoo, conditioner and lotion was an added bonus. The room was sweet. As a former builder it was cool to see how a private home made upgrades to become a commercial hotel and yet keep the character of the building well intact. Breakfast was fine. It got me going! Will stay again should I pause in Seaside.
The room needs detail work attended to. Caulking in the bathroom. Baseboards and shower. But, that’s not something that bothers me. A piece of wallpaper high up at the ceiling is loose. Again, not a detractor from the comfort, jus something I noticed.

Breakfast was good. The room was very nice. The facility was very quaint. They have a library of DVDs free for their guests to take to their room and watch. Location was ideal if you want to spend some time on Broadway exploring the shops and entertainment.
The only complaints I have are the fact that the DVD player in our room (the Renee' Room) didn't work, and the bed frame extends out much farther than the mattress and is covered with a bed spread, so it isn't easy to see. I hit my knee so hard that it split the skin.

The room itself was nice. Loved the proximity to the main downtown area, very walkable. Highly recommend the nearby restaurant that was a former theater. Very convenient parking. Even in the rain, this was a fun area.
The breakfast is an afterthought for this place and the attendant was too busy eating to care about what was going on or what people needed. She literally seemed inconvenienced when we asked about something as simple as needing napkins. This showed in that our table was sticky on the edge (clearly from maple syrup from a previous day since we were the first ones in at 8:10am). Lastly front desk person was rather dry.

I really liked the over all aesthetic of the house. It was really cozy, the staff was really nice. The location is amazing, you’re literally right on the water pretty much. Also loved that it was dog friendly. Will be coming back <3
It’s not that I didn’t like it, it was just because how old and the structure of it being an old house. I noticed the walls were like paper thin, that meaning you could hear just about everyone and everything. Also I noticed the only make breakfast for an hour when it said 8-10 I would get there at 9 and only get the scraps.

We enjoyed our stay , it was a very good bed , good bathroom. And everything was very clean . It was just noisy from some thing , we tried to figure out what it was . The noise stopped in the morning , so it might have been the fridge from the next room . Breakfast was s good . Again very clean . Friendly young ones at the lobby ., We ,would stay at the Gilbert again , it’s a good value for what we paid .
The noise of something next door ?Thank god we slept through it . The noise was gone in the morning .

The rooms are really unique and comfy. Comparable to an upscale B&B or boutique hotel. Breakfast and coffee were above average also. Mo's seafood is an easy walk and that meant a well made tall margarita was within reach minutes after check-in!
The room was cold upon checking in but warmed up rather quickly. Carpet near the bath room was a little damp but I worked thru it just fine.

Sophia, the desk clerk, went out of her way to accommodate my needs. The suite had everything I needed. The room was extra clean. Only a block from the Promenade and the beach.
The breakfast has changed from filling out a card with your food preferences to a buffet. Most of the same items were available, but for some reason the undersides of the scrambled eggs were grey. Everything else was great.

Breakfast was just ok. Waffle (day 1) was tough, and VERY skimpy with syrup. Scrambled eggs (day 2) were not good. Overcooked, and I didn't expect the sausage to be in with the eggs, and their grease added to the badness of the eggs. Days 3 & 4 we skipped bkfst and ate elsewhere. Best thing about breakfast was not having to go out. OOPS! THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE NEXT BOX!
