We loved our stay at Ashore in Seaside. The staff were super friendly, the decor and amenities in the room were high quality and everything was very clean. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or shops and it’s a very short drive to great sightseeing like Cannon Beach, Ecola Park, and the Peter Iredale shipwreck. This was one of the more affordable properties available for the dates we travelled (Sep 2025) so we felt the value was pretty good for what we got. We read very mixed reviews about the continental breakfast, but we loved it! It was perfect for us, warm, fresh croissants, vanilla Greek yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. If you’re expecting a a heavy waffle buffet with dozens of pre-fab pastries, frozen sugary juices, and bad coffee, you should opt for the holiday inn or something instead.

We were on the ground level and the floors are concrete so the upstairs neighbors could be heard at times, but it wasn’t disruptive enough to complain. The bathroom fan and AC unit were a smidge on the loud side, but we recommend keeping them on as it got humid/damp without them running. Oh, and my partner was a little underwhelmed by the shower, we’re short people and it was even too short for us, lol! Again, not a dealbreaker, but if you’re tall it might be an issue for you.

The location was amazing, we would walk anywhere with our doggy with us. We loved the stuff they had for pets, my husband loved the sauna, my daughter loved the pool. We were a block away from a dog friendly beach and lots of other activities and places to eat.

I think we just had like the worst room here. It was a little old, the bathroom shower was not the nicest. There was a lot of traffic and noises outside our door and upstairs but we were right next to the pool and the bar so next time we’ll ask for a quieter room. The air conditioner was also really old and loud, but functional. No deal breakers but I was expecting it to be a little nicer for the price.

Location was super central to everything around town! Hotel was easy to find. Property felt safe and was very clean!

We stayed on the bottom floor rooms and could hear every foot steps from the people staying in the room above us.

Friendly staff, location to beach and activities was great, bed was comfortable, loved comp breakfast and they had a bar available. Loved the pool and sauna! I also like that it is a LGBTQA+ friendly hotel.

The shower curtain was kind of not good as it would not stay closed during shower so you either had to wrap it around pole or let it slide open and water would get floor and door wet. Also minor leak on the shower head on top so it was spraying water a little. Probably just needs to be tightened.

I really liked the repurposed industrial style interior design and loved the overall feeling of the hotel , all are welcome here. As a European native I appreciate the recycling option in the room and the great tasting local coffee and French press in the room. We all enjoyed the breakfast we ordered at the hotel the next morning . Bonus- the food is also local and organic , the waffles were amazing . The kids had fun at the saltwater pool and I enjoyed the pool , sauna and a glass of wine from the bar . Great to know fur babies are also welcome here. The staff at our hotel was exceptional , they were so friendly and helpful . I will definitely stay here again!!

Location and decor

The blankets smelled like wet dog in both rooms

They have a small cafe on the site which offered a few waffles for breakfast -- we chose to go out for breakfast because there was not much offered in their cafe. Location is good -- about 1 block away from Broadway Street where there are several good restaurants, arcades, shopping, and entertainment.

WiFi signal was weak and the internet speed was slow but it usually worked. Could not turn on TV. Alarm woke us 2 times up at 4:40am, had to unplug the stupid thing to get it to stay off. Needed to ask for soap in the room. Refrigerator has no freezer compartment.

The design and decor is really fun and well done! Location is great! It is very close to the main strip and the beach but is tucked away in a quiet spot, ideal. The pool and sauna are lovely!! The staff are nice :) Parking is nice and convenient.

The door of our room was directly in front of the garbage and recycling (room 2), so as soon as you open your door there is a smelly mess right there, I was also afraid of rats but didn’t see any. The bed was small, I think it’s a double size, not queen then the pull out sofa is a twin size.

The staff was excellent and even though it's small, the hotel offers a lot of wonderful little amenities, like high quality body products, coffee, and bedding. The staff is super kind and relaxed, and the small bar/cafe has great food and drinks. It was so nice to get a little breakfast on site that was really good and reasonably priced! The small, heated pool was lovely for a quick dip and kid activity, and while you can't see the ocean, it's very close to the beach and downtown attractions.

Because it's an older building you can hear people walking above you and other outdoor noise. The wall heater/AC unit is pretty loud.

Room decor was modern, industrial and very cool... refreshing after so many prior visits to standard hotel rooms. Little touches made it feel special. We also loved spending the evening in the pool and sauna... no one else around and were able to unwind and visit.

I missed out on fire pit - but just didn't have time. Bed could have been a little softer, but my husband loved it.
