I had a wonderful stay at the Hillcrest Inn in Seaside, Oregon. Ashley, who checked me in, is absolutely the best! She welcomed me and my friends (who were visiting from England) upon check-in, provided information on courtesy snacks, coffee, etc. and games/videos available from the office. Guests also receive local discounts at nearby restaurants (Ashley recommended the Gelato place which we went to -- amazing!!). My room was clean and comfortable, and the King size bed was like a pillow! Located on a quiet street, access to the local mall downtown, and a short walk to the beach are other great benefits for staying here. I had to return to Portland the next day, but Ashley thanked me for the hotel stay (she's the best!)

Everything was GREAT!! It was a perfect get-away for me and my friends during our stay in Seaside.

The location was primo very close to the ocean They have a fabulous staff, which was quite helpful. In the office, there were several games, puzzles and movies to choose from. In addition to goodies, hot and cold water and popcorn. Nice surprise.

The grounds were a bit rundown and had a good deal of stuff i.e. like plants, lawnmower, blowers boxes, ladders, etc. all over the place. It was also very noisy in the room at night… We thought it was very thin walls, and could hear a conversation or the TV on almost all night…

We loved the people and the excellent service. We enjoyed the games, movies, snacks, location, cleanliness, and availability. We will always come back again and again!

The heating system downstairs seems to be connected to the upstairs vent which just about melted us. Lol. Luckily, Ruth came to the rescue and she tended to the problem immediately. All was well after that - but maybe maintenance could somehow block the airflow in the vents? We had the corner unit in 120. Tenants who also had upstairs units seemed to forget their quiet feet and stomped up the stairs next to our unit. That was a little rough when we were trying to sleep.

The location is impeccable. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and the main strip with all the stores and restaurants. The staff was AMAZING. We got there five hours early and they let us park on site while we went and explored the town. Check in was a breeze. The picture’s definitely don’t do it justice. The room was so cute and well done. The office has games and movies you can borrow as well as a ton of beach toys. We will be staying here again 100%.

I love the location for the price the most. It is a very cute and cozy place to stay and it is walking distance from the beach AND the main part of town. Very friendly people, they don't disturb you if you don't need anything but are always willing to provide whatever you need if you request it. I have stayed here multiple times in the regular rooms and once in the bigger house/suite rooms. All of them very comfortable and cute.

There isn't much I don't like. The ice machine made me a little nervous but I used it anyway.

Ruth went above and beyond to make us comfortable. It felt more like I was staying in a little community than in a motel.

The parking provided is not meant for a large vehicle. Be sure to tell Ruth ahead of time. She went out of her way to save me a place for my 19 foot truck on the street. Not a small feat during the 4th of July event. I felt I couldn't go anywhere so I wouldn't loose my spot but grateful she was so attentive to my needs.

The location was great; just a block walk to the beach and aquarium; also so close to town. The staff was exceptional! They really took care of us. They had a big variety of snacks during the day and lots to choose for breakfast. There were tons of games and DVDs that you could use. It was also great that they had so many sand toys for the kids to use while we were there.

Noisy people in the room above ours but Ruth was very quick to take care of it. Within 30 seconds of calling her, she had tactfully taken care of the issue. I know the hotel isn't responsible for how their guests act, but they were great at taking care of the issue.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was great, very clean and comfortable. It was a very nice property. We wished we had booked a longer stay.

The only thing we were slightly disappointed with was that we couldn’t see the water. Also when we tried to walk out to the beach we had NO IDEA how far out it was to the beach. Some signage at the start of the trail would be helpful.

We loved how close everything was to our room. We didn’t have to use our car the whole time we were there! We loved the friendly staff, we arrived a couple of hours before check in that day and they gave us our key early which was awesome! The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet. The shower head was really powerful which is amazing because there is nothing worse than getting back from the beach and not being able to get all the sand off! We also liked that they had sand toys, chairs, and other beach stuff for us to use. And we also liked their dvds they let you borrow. All in all a wonderful place that we would definitely stay again!

I think it could use a fresh coat of paint on the outside. Also it would be awesome if they had more breakfast options like cereal, bagels, etc.

Four weeks of traveling around the Western US, this was my favourite place to stay. There was a lovely receptionist who was warm friendly and made you feel welcome. They had popcorn for guests in the check in office. I was expecting a room with a double bed, there was a kitchen, a grand bed, videos could be chosen and watched in your room. The place was homey, comfortable and looked after with the care of people who are putting their heart into the place, not just going through the motions of keeping the place up. The motel was walking distance to the downtown and beach, and Seaside is a good base for visiting other beaches. I would go back here in a heart beat. If more motels were like this I would never want to go home
