Great location with super friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. We had a room at the back and it was very quiet indeed. My only point would be that they do not serve glasses of wine. For a hotel that prides itself on high quality wines, it seems strange that they do not have a house wine by the glass. Even more strange that we were given a glass of rose on arrival as a welcome drink. If they sort this out, and you like a glass of wine, then we would highly recommend. If you don’t like wine, we highly recommend.

Good sound proofing. Great arrival. Nice style of accomodation. Good desk in thecroom. Good breakfast (but very expensive) good location. Nice efficient service. Reasonably 'not too warm' room without using a/c. Towels in the bathroom. (This sounds obvious but nowadays they are often on the bed, absurdly.). Free minibar

Lack of gym, swimming pool (for half that price available in other hotels) Hard to figure out how to use electric switches. Never found out how to switch of light under bathroom sink. Like most hotels in hot countries, there is no top bedsheet, no option other than a warm duvet. (Another absurd fashion. Thus forcing most to sleep with both a warm duvet and full speed air conditioning...which is absurd and very bad for the environment. ....And decreases the profit fir the hotel (electricity and laundry bills)

didnt have breakfast - had dinner in the lobby area one night and food was very good. Room was very large as was the bathroom so plenty of space for two of us and the staff were very good. Had all the facilities one could need.

We were disappointed that we could not buy wine by the glass, only the bottle. The Hotel was very full due to the ASEAN meeting, so of course this restricted numbers at rooftop restaurant and the downstairs area which was set up for large groups. Miss Patty was very friendly and attentive and an asset to the Hotel.

Great rooms! Very spacious. Shower with rain head was great and it was easy to control and set the temperature of the water. The view and ambience of the rooftop restaurant was awesome. The restaurant manager remembered us from our night before and greeted us nicely. The tiramisu was excellent.

No pool. There were four of us that ate dinner up on the rooftop terrace restaurant. The service was great at the start to the meal but as the place got busier it took 10 minutes just to get a salt shaker for my fries which were cold by the time I got the salt. It sometimes over took 10 minutes for them to get over and refill the wine glasses. And after the meal, we weren’t even offered the desert menu so we left without having any.

We stayed at La Seine on the very last leg of our trip in Laos. It was a refreshing stay after the sub-par and overpriced accommodations we had stayed at previously during our travel. We had a great lunch and had a comfortable night in the spacious room with a king beg. Clean and comfortable spacious bathroom.

The sliding door of the bathroom wasn't easy to move and we were not able to fully close it. Probably just for the room we stayed in. It would be great if the facility could fix it.

We chose La Seine hotel for our 3-night stay based on its location near the historic district and the Mekong River, together with the fact that as a 'Genius' booker there were a number of upgrades available to us! We arrived at 19:00 hrs (after traveling on two flights that day) via the hotel's shuttle, to be met by the hotel manager - Mrs Dany - and a welcome drink of wine. Mrs Dany turned out to be a real treasure - she imparted valuable information like what is a 'sensible' price for Tuk-Tuk or taxi rides, which taxis to use, etc. She also arranged for the printing of our China/Laos train tickets - help from Mrs Dany or any of her staff was always available when needed. We used the hotel's roof-top restaurant for convenience on our first night due to our late arrival - it overlooks the Mekong and gives a nice view across the river to Thailand. The service and food were what one would expect to receive from a quality 5-star hotel. On subsequent nights we used local restaurants, which are located either side of the hotel in easy walking distance. Breakfast was served each morning in the large ground floor foyer and was cooked to order from their extensive a-la-carte menu - the menu catered for a complete range of tastes from Western to Asian specialities. The night market is a short stroll from the hotel together with an adjacent street of night hawker food stalls. Our room was large, comfortable and immaculately decorated - housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay. We highly recommend the La Seine hotel - Mrs Dany and her staff made us most welcome and comfortable.

No dislikes at all - everything was to our expectations, or better!!

From the moment we arrived we knew that we had found somewhere special. The location was great. Reception was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. They were able to assist us with anything we required. Room 206. The room was perfection. The bed was large and comfortable. The minibar was included and the bathroom had great water pressure and ample lighting. The room was tended to daily. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel is immaculate. Wi-fi was fast and reliable. Breakfast was good and there was variety and the menu was extensive. The rooftop Restaurant / Bar 7th Heaven was amazing and the view at sundown was something special. We were well looked after and when we return to Vientiane we will 100% re-book here.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this Hotel!

Beautifully clean, well organised and nicely laid out. We enjoyed a fabulous bedroom (suite) with top quality mattress, pillows and bedding gave us a wonderful nights sleep. A nice touch was the completely complementary mini bar. Slightly out of the city centre but it really isn’t a long walk and the 7th Heaven rooftop bar and restaurant (on the 7th floor don’t you know) has a lovely vibe and serves delicious fare. A bit pricey as Vientiane goes, but hey, you get what you pay for!

Nothing to dislike….

The room was spacious and clean, with separated bath and toilet. The coconut amenities are quite good, even better than some 5 star hotels. Having red wine for welcome drink and free mini bar with BeerLao and soft drinks.

The staff asked me to make payment when I checked in which made me quite surprised. I never experienced that a 4 or 5 star hotel asked guests to make payment upon check-in! Is the hotel a business hotel?? When we stepped into the room, there was a little strange smell. The ventilation needs to be improved.

very good breakfast, you can order and try our everything on the menu, very good coffee and excellent staff. Restaurant on the top is highly recommended, perfect spot on the river and also not too much noise from the bars down stairs on the street. Had a very good family dinner there. Rooms are clean and noise isolated, and the bad is a dream in terms of size and comfort.

Hotel is close to two bar's with loud music playing every day during our stau from 5pm to 11:30pm. Musik is kind of a Lao techno and not really enjoyable, makes the river side balcony in the room not a quiet place until 11:30pm. unfortunately.
