This is by far my favorite hostel I have stayed at in my travels so far. The family who runs it is so friendly and sweet. They truly make it feel like a home. My room was so comfortable and really clean. The banana pancakes were the perfect start to every morning. And the fact you could use their bicycles made exploring Hoi An memorable and fun. I can't wait to come back and stay with them again.

The hostel isn't located near the old town, but honestly, that was more of a plus for me as it was a nice and quiet area as opposed to the busy and loud old town. Just thought I should mention it, though, so people know.

Please give the Lazy Bear your business when you come to Hoi An! It is run by a lovely local family who were so sweet and had fantastic customer service. The facilities are great, and they offer free bike rentals! I think biking around is the best way to explore the Hoi An area, so it's a huge perk. There is also breakfast but I slept in too late to try it... The hosts offered recommendations for things to do and see in Hoi An, a map, and credible tailoring and tour services (although I did not have enough time to take advantage of either of those things). I stayed in the dorm, and the facilities were all comfortable. I love the adorable decor in the Lazy Bear as well! I would love to come back again the next time I visit Hoi An! It's such a shame I could only stay one night. Great value and great experience outright

The bike I borrowed was functional but a little worse-for-wear It was free though so I really can't complain! Also, the Lazy Bear is ~15 minutes away by bike from the central Hoi An area. Very reasonable in my opinion and the location is great since it's quiet and secluded. It's also closer to the beach activities and rice paddies than accommodations in town.

Everything was perfect! The room was extremely clean, organized, and airy. Very cool inside even without the AC on. The swimming pool was fresh and inviting. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Hoi An with everything nearby. Only 5 mins by bike to both the old town and the beach. The host was so kind and the check-in process was smooth.

Lovely stay! The room was tidy, clean, and bright. It stayed cool throughout the day. I really enjoyed the pool – it was well maintained and very relaxing. The location is super central, with many restaurants and cafes just steps away. Easy bike ride to rice fields, the beach, or the old town. Host was helpful, and self-check-in was convenient.

Very clean, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Good breakfast and helpfull and kind staff. It feels more like a very cozy homestay. With the free bicycles you can easily go around, the location is in a quiet street and chill part of the city! Would definitely recommend!!

Everything was great, if I had to think of something it would have been nice if there was more common room/beds by the pool. But other than that, it was perfect!

I loved the room, which was spacious and clean. The bathroom was great. The balcony was lovely, and the whole building was quite quiet. The owners are always happy to help book tours, or help with laundry. They even let me borrow a rain jacket because the weather was bad while I was there.

The location is a little out of the way, but that means it's quiet.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Bear. The room was gorgeous, so clean and spacious and the family who own it are just so lovely and welcoming. From the minute we stepped through the door we felt so at home and relaxed and they were so helpful in booking various tours for us and explaining where everything was. We also took the free bikes to the beach a couple of times which was great fun. We ended up extending and staying for 8 nights as we loved the hostel and Hoi An so much! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Super cool rooms, very comfortable and clean, and loved the bear theme everywhere! There is even a swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring Hoi An in the summer heat, or just to take it easy on one day. The family owning the place is super nice, very helpful in helping out booking buses or tours. They booked a night bus to Dalat for us, including pick up at the hostel, and kept our luggages and allowed us to take a shower in the afternoon after we checked out so that we could board the bus clean. Keep in mind that the hostel is located ~3 km away from the old town, which is a plus if you want quiet and peace. Free bicycles are available to reach the old town in 15 minutes.

Hosts are very accommodating and very helpful, enthusiastic about their guests. They wanna help you enjoying your time in Hoi An. They offer free bikes, motorbike renting, laundry service and they help you booking your bus/train ticket to the next location in Vietnam. Very quiet location, 10 mins bike ride to the ancient city. Big room with private bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. With working ac and also a fan. You have everything you could need. Also the pool is nice and clean. Plenty choices for breakfast, very tasty and nice food. The place is owned by this lovely Vietnamese family. We definitely recommend this place if you are coming to Hoi An.

Had the most wonderful stay with Binh, Lin and their family. Their hospitality and kindness is unmatched, it’s been the best place I’ve stayed in throughout my travels in Vietnam. The hostel in so cute, clean, the beds are comfy and the location is nicely located outside of the old city which is a short bike ride (highlight of the day riding into the old town and seeing more of Hoi An outside the tourist spots). They gave the best recommendations and organised transportation and tours. Cannot thank them enough for making Hoi An so memorable and for the wonderful conversations shared!
