The staff were fantastic. We had a great experience with Luna, Cathy and Tom. Indeed all the staff were excellent - the cleaning staff, the security guys, the guy who helps with the baggage and everybody at Breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic and we had such a real variety to pick from. The bed was definitely the most comfortable bed we slept in after all our 20 years of travel to Vietnam. We really enjoyed the location as it was midway point between the beach and old town. We cycled to the beach in the morning (with complimentary bikes from the hotel) and taxied in to old town most evenings. There were even enough things to do and see in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Nothing. This is not a criticism. Except there were limited international news channels on Tv. This is generally typical in all Vietnam hotels. Maybe the Grand Sunrise could improve their choice and stay ahead of the others in time for our next visit.

This is simply one of the world’s best hotels. My wife and I have stayed in over 200 hotels over the last few years and the staff and service here were the best we have experienced. To begin with I was delayed an extra day in arriving, and my wife found herself alone in Vietnam. The staff particularly, Ella and Kathy, immediately adopted her as though she were a younger sister to make sure she was taken care of, even though she was old enough to be their mother😀. I cannot tell you how much both of us appreciate their extra care for her. Word spread, and the rest of the staff were checking up on her and both of us once I arrived. Each time you enter or leave the hotel you are greeted and you can tell there is a genuine desire among all of the staff to make sure all of your wants are met. From a security standpoint, though it wasn’t mentioned I also even noted that the security guard who stays at the front of the hotel at all time took a photo of the vehicle plate when we arrived or departed with taxi drivers on every occasion. You are mad at the door, greeted as you pass through reception and even every member of the staff we met in the hallways, took the time to smile and say hello. The food in the restaurant was some of the better food we had in Vietnam, and like every other part of the hotel, the service was impeccable. The hotel itself is done in a black-and-white 50s movie set style design, which feels as though you have stepped back in time. We absolutely loved it and this doesn’t even touch on how great our room was. A Grab taxi to get anywhere you want in the city is well under two dollars and you are staying in a much better hotel than anything in the old section. Do yourself a favor, choose to stay with the Grand Sunrise Palace. No, this is not a paid announcement .😀, simply after four years of full-time travel we have never felt like we were in better hands.

We had a fantastic time at the Grand Sunrise Palace hotel in Hoi An. The location was ideal as it is close to the the centre of old Hoi An but still away from the craziness and hustle and bustle. We loved taking a hotel bicycle out to explore the lovely local neighbourhood and riding through rice paddies and lovely local streets. The hotel facilities all excellent, with two pools to choose from. The hotel room was large and spotless and we loved the balcony overlooking the pool. The restaurant and breakfasts were delicious. A highlight was the wonderful service and assistance we received from Kathy at the hotel front desk. Kathy made us feel so welcome and provided us with all the advice we needed to make the most of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel!

It is a very nice hotel, new (opened less than a year ago), well designed. I had the premium room with a balcony on the 6th floor. It's a large room, clean, with a view of the valley, with a bathtub in the room and not in the bathroom (it's pretty but not very useful), well soundproofed, with air conditioning. The bed is very large and comfortable. There is a fridge and a kettle. The design is magnificent. On the hotel's roof, there is a pretty swimming pool (25m), clean, warm water, and a bar. the breakfast is wonderful too, with lots of choice and a large assortment of fruits (I love it). The hotel is located 2km from the center of Hoi An. There is a shuttle to get there. Next to the hotel, there is not much other than a few restaurants and a few other hotels. The beach is 2-3 km away, there is a shuttle too. Definitely if I go to Hoi An again I will come back to this hotel.

At breakfast, we only find a coffee maker which has been heating since 6:30 a.m. with coffee and a teapot with 2 Lipton tea bags which has been heating continuously since 6:30 a.m. Please, could you add diff. kinds of tea, diff. coffees, chocolate without additional chargé. It Will be very nice.

The property is only 4 months old. It’s amazing. Feels like something out of White Lotus tv show. The location was brilliant. About 3km outside Old Town so you can avoid the hustle and bustle. The Hotel provides free use of bicycles so it’s a short 10 minute ride into Hoi An. They also have a free shuttle bus to An Bang beach and Old Town. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide range of delicious food. Spa treatments were very good and discounted. The staff were great, especially Jay on the front desk. The room was massive, king size comfortable bed. Everything very clean.

Location: the hotel is too far from the center, and it takes a 10-15 min of (rather dangerous) biking. The bikes provided had several problems and I had to switch 2 to get a fully functioning one Details: while good looking, the hotel feels rather cheap, with printed marbles and relatively cheap materials For the same budget, I would now rather choose an hotel closer to the city, and more in line with the atmosphere of the city (yellow buildings, lanterns, wooden doors and shutters, …)

Hotel was beautiful and staff were so friendly and had great English. The breakfast had lots of choice and the rooms were really luxurious. The option of bikes was also ideal. As we stayed 5 nights we were given a free massage each and afternoon tea which was a lovely touch! Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Hoi an

It is a 25 min walk to old town, this didn’t bother us but may be a disadvantage for some.

The hotel is still brand new but it has a beautifully dining area, breakfast is amazing and the menu for lunch and dinner has a great variety. There are two pools one rooftop and one outside the dining area. The Spa was wonderful and we loved the ginger tea. There is also a shuttle bus to the old town or you can catch a Grab its very easy. Our room was amazing and very big, complimentary fresh fruit and water, tea and coffee was provided. Can only recommend this jewel.

There us nothing not to like

Beautiful room, very clean and modern. Really nice rooftop. Breakfast had many options including typical dishes like banh xeo, and good coffee. Staff was very helpful, especially Lilly who also gave many great advice.

It was nice to have a shuttle to go to the city center, but it left either at 9am or 2pm. Would have been nice to have something inbetween like 11am.

Spacious rooms, 2 pools, really good breakfast, best i had in Vietnam! Staff is very friendly but for a 5 star resort too pushing and familiar (to the point that they invading your privacy).

They used some high quality materials like bathroom but some are cheap and fake material like bathroom flooring, lamp balcony and so on. Bad sound insulation, between rooms and street noise.
