The location and the swimming pool. It was incredibly clean. The hostess was lovely and helpful. Close enough to Hoi an to get a taxi, but in lovely paddy field countryside with lots of supermarkets, restaurants and massage within walking distance. Good breakfast with variety of seasonal fruits.

The rooms only have one key so you need to leave that if you want the room cleaned. The heater for the water is on the wall outside the bathroom and you need to switch it on. These are minor points, but worth noting for future guests.

A very peaceful place with beautiful views and lovely staff. The photo makes it look quite isolated but it's in a residential area close to anything you might need. There's a great restaurant less than 2 mins walk away in case you don't want to go further and you have a local high street and local market within 5 minutes walk. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was good. I had a room without a balcony but the view from the window was fantastic. I hope to return here later in this trip

It's a minor thing - the fridge is a small one with a very small freezer compartment and, since the electricity is on a key card, it doesn't stay very cold.

I was here for a total of 2 weeks, for vacation and also to work as a digital nomad (there is a coworking just 3 minutes away by bike). For me it was the perfect place because there was nothing lacking here and the service staff made every effort to make us feel comfortable, which I really appreciated. We had the top room with a balcony view of the rice fields, it was fantastic. The pool was also clean and I was able to swim there every morning before work. Bicycles were free and scooters could also be rented spontaneously. It's not far to cycle into town or to the beach. I had a wonderful time here and when I come back I will definitely stay at Sam Retreat Villa again 😃

All the staff are friendly and kind and flexible to help me have a wonderful experience. Hoi An is my hometown but bring born in another country, it was my coming home vibes. Sam Retreat made me feel right at home and gave me a wonderful convenient location for my family reunion. There are great cafe and restaurant nearby and walkable. Thank you so much. Stayed here nearly 3 months in the end. It's in a quiet area but still close to the center and the local co-working space is within walking distance. Kelly is a great host, kind and responsive. The rooms are spacious, have good beds, ac, and are modern and well kept. Internet is good too. And the breakfast was always nice.

No issues, anything minor got resolved right away.

The experience was truly delightful, offering exceptional value for money. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, adding a warm and welcoming touch to our stay. Moreover, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, the WIFI was good and the view from our room was stunning. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we’ll definitely come back.

Hopefully next time when we visit, there will be more bicycles available. We were looking forward to exploring the place on bicycles, but unfortunately most of the time they were already taken. Other than that, everything was perfect.

This cozy villa is in a quiet area. You can reach the rice fields in just one minute. The receptionist is really nice and helps guests with whatever they need. The rooms are lovely and make you feel relaxed, perfect for a peaceful vacation. It's in a great spot between the beach and the old town. They have free bikes you can use and serve a tasty breakfast in the morning. I definitely recommend staying here.

The location is great. The view of the rice fields is stunning. Nice and quiet, I slept with the balcony doors open and listen to the frogs at night and birds in the morning! The breakfast was delicious and fresh. It was great to use the free bicycles. Cozy family-like feel. I will stay here again!

Beautiful new hotel right at the rice paddies. (Only 1month old) Staff is very warm and welcoming. They can advise you about great restaurants and cafes. They have free bicycles but can also hook you up with motorbikes, tours, taxis you name it. At night it's very quite and the old town is approximately 5min away. Breakfast was amazing! (Definitely try that!) Rooms are spacious and clean. Thank you guys so much for everything and see you again.
