We pass this town every time we go to Skegness when we booked it the location was great we were visiting in tetford and yrh the hotel was just right the staff were friendly and very helpful the breakfast was lovely we will be coming back again next year and we noticed it was dog friendly we will recommend to friends and family , our next stay will be longer very happy 😊

The floorboards in the room above when people were walking around abit the floors were creaking , my partner did say the toilet inside was not clean but he cleaned it and after that it was ok 👌

Staff were exceptional both when we arrived and at breakfast/check out. We arrived in the evening and had booked a twin room but the room reserved for us was a double and the hotel was full. As we were 2 blokes traveling together to go to Cadwell Park we really needed the twin. It was no problem at all for the staff to reconfigure the room and even gave us a pint each to drink in the bar whilst it was being done. A potential issue handled exceptionally well and in a friendly and professional manner. Well done Jenny and the team

Lovely welcoming feel to the property. Great sized rooms, and the food is excellent.

As we were leaving our room to checkout, housekeeping were obviously getting ready to clean the rooms and change the bed linen etc. The clean bed linen was on the floor across the corridor. Thus struck me as not being great. We were able to step over the clean pillowcases etc, and lift our cases over them, but some people may not. Also, the corridor is a thoroughfare that people walk through with outdoor shoes on. I really don’t think that clean bedding should be on the floor. It could get visibly dirty, and it really isn’t hygienic. Also. We went to the desk to checkout, and the lady who was sat at the front desk didn’t look up, or acknowledge that we were even there. The lady from the desk at the back of reception had to get up and sort us out. Unnecessary, I thought.

Warm friendly welcome at the reception, the lady who checked us in was very helpful enthusiastic and happy. Lovely well furnished room. High quality bedding and soft cushions. Thought the extras such fan, hairdryer, iron etc was a nice touch. The bathroom was spotless and had a luxury feel. Nice sized TV with freeview

Had an issue accessing the TV channel guide. One side of the bed didn't have any plugs so had to trail the cable over the bed from the opposite side. Doors from other guests rooms were quite noisy at times. .

Our superior family room (on the second and third nights) was large, quiet and very comfortable. The weather was warm, but an electric fan was provided so that the room temperature was comfortable. We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel, and these were good. I appreciated the small courtyard terrace of the restaurant on a warm evening. Horncastle is a pleasant small town with the shops, restaurants and cafés you might require for a short stay. The hotel has adequate parking.

I booked a classic twin room (and kept my booking confirmation email, thank goodness!) and also emailed the hotel the evening before arrival to request a quiet twin room. When we arrived, we were given a room with one double bed at the front of the hotel, on a main road with loud traffic noise, not compatible with the hotels's 4* rating in my opinion. The weather was hot so the window was open. There was a pub with live music a few doors away. I stated immediately that this was unsatisfactory. Unfortunately there was no suitable alternative available for that night. We were moved to a superior family room for our second and third nights. But we had the inconvenience of unpacking and re-packing our luggage before an important family occasion.

It was a Place full of character

Attention to detail...just a little moan. Tea making facilitie in room , no teaspoons. Breakfast was lovely, no toast was given or offered with a full English. I mentioned this when checking out with the young lady on reception who duele noted it and was very apologetic. I however enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate staying there again. I do hope my comments are taken as a positive...keep up the good work.

Great parking, friendly team on arrival, lovely spacious twin room. Very comfortable bed, good quality bed linen. Toiletries supplied. Went out locally for dinner but came back for drinks in the lounge which was comfortable. Breakfast was superb, great restaurant area. Could not fault the stay and value for money.

Could not be helped as an old property but the creaking floors from above were rather noisy when other guests were walking around.

Great easy free car park in a busy market town. Pleasant staff and a great room.

Ran out of my favourite breakfast food, fresh fruit as we were down at 9:30am (10am cut off on Sundays) and were told there was no more available to prepare. I'm sure at the end of the shift the chef chose the answer carefully. I didn't question it, and went on to enjoy a great cooked breakfast. All fine. Also very nice to get a welcome hand written note in the room from housekeeping. A kind gesture.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms very clean and comfortable. housekeeping good. Nice atmosphere Plenty of hanging space and tea and coffee in roo. Plenty of safe parking

6pm dinner, a few dishes off the menu from a limited menu. Refused children's portion for elderly relative. Tables in bar sticky. Lift in adequate for size of hotel No electric charging. Rooms facing road need secondary glazing as road/street noise.

The hotel is outstanding, I booked online and had never stayed in the area before so was unsure what to expect. It totally exceeded any expectations I had. The hotel had a wedding on, however the staff continued to deliver a high standard of service to those who were not part of the wedding, making every guest feel welcomed. Food was stunning. The staff were amazing and I would like to thank all of them for making our stay a memorable one. I will certainly want to revisit next year. A very big thank you!! X

With the hotel nothing at all. However I did hear another guest moaning the service was slow waiting for their evening meal, I can assure you all, she was waiting no longer than 10 minutes. I feel some people are not happy unless they complain! 🙄.
