This motel was a surprise. We were prepared for it to be somewhat dated and not quite as fresh or current as some of the larger, "big brand" hotels and motels. However, despite first impressions, this is one of the best values we've experienced in months of travel. The management is exceptional and eager to be helpful. The room was very quiet, and exceptionally clean. The beds were actual mattresses with great support, not topped with foam pads that only feel comfy for the first few minutes. The bedding was immaculate, as were the towels. The breakfast - served by actual, friendly people - was extraordinary, with real scrambled eggs cooked on-site, real blueberry muffins (also baked by staff), and yogurt in full-serving containers with real fruit, not the small sized portions sold in wholesale stores.

I'll admit that the room was a bit dated in appearance. However, that didn't affect our comfort, and we soon saw it as charming The only issue we had was with the Wi-Fi connection. Though there were two accounts we could use, they were very slow and regularly stopped working altogether. However, that may have been a temporary connection issue that was out of the control of management.

my kid loved the waffles and free snacks at the front desk. place is clean and well taken care of. Next to Applebee's (that's a plus). Staff is great always friendly. I like the fact we can just exchange the towels, and nobody goes into our room on extended days. Like the mini fridge in the room. Really can't compline about anything.

Really can't compline about anything. keep up the good work. the mini refrigerator is kept under the table. I (personal preference) would prefer it on some sort of stand to get it off the floor, People with back issues. have trouble get access to it. Not a big deal will defiantly stay there again our trip to Bangor

The room was very clean. The folks are very nice and accomodating, breakfast is super delicious with smiling people always ready to serve you. It was a good experience all and all. We would stay there again.

The electric plug in back of the night stand did not work in the ground floor room. I use a CPAP and could not plug it at the head of the bed on the night stand and had to place it on a chair at the foot of the bed where there was a working electrical plug on the wall. I slept at the foot of the bed. The door going inside the building does not lock anyone can just walk in the building where the room is located.

Comfortable room, AC worked great in the summer heat. Plenty of towels (though I was a single person in a double bedroom, so probably why) Mini-fridge kept drinks nice and cold. Highlight was actually the included breakfast! The friendly staff and the fact that they had a full breakfast with hot food and cold options were big pluses. Also, very quiet, despite being right near one of the main roads in the city.

There are only two things I would change, but honestly, they're such minor things that I feel bad even saying them. The rooms are slightly outdated, they just feel old. (Though they are very clean and comfortable!) I had a phone and a laptop with me but could only have one plugged in at a time due to lack of outlets/phone charge plug. Only other thing is the cable TV menu was very rough, basically a slideshow of channels, so you couldn't see what the program was about, just the name. Again, something minor and not even remotely the hotel's fault, just the cable provided is outdated.

really friendly and helpful staff. quiet area with very large parking area around the buildings. hot foods for breakfast - scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, sausage, waffle maker, as well as cereals, oats packets, toasts, bagels, muffins, yoghurt. I thought the coffee was very good. Beds comfortable; spacious rooms, airconditioning adequate. This is the sort of place that some schools or churches or large families might find useful for conferences or 'get-aways'.

The buildings are old, with old decor, but they are very well cleaned. Pillows were too thick and high for me but my husband didn't mind them.

Free snacks upon arrival, as I had a two hour plane delay on the runway with very little food/drinks. Also the information about restaurants open late was great (Applebee's). Also liked the great selection of foods for breakfast. Plus the information on the City Forest. I spent about 2 to 3 hours at the Orono Bog!

I had emailed, asking for directions to your motel from the airport about a month ago. I never received a reply. The instructions from the internet did not label most of the streets, and the exit # was too small on my printout to read. It took about 20 minutes extra to find the motel.

I loved this place! Clean, quiet, safe. Wonderful staff. Delicious breakfast. I already want to come back for another stay! As others have said it's a bit old school, which I don't mind, but very well maintained, I'd say! I would think all men and most practical women would enjoy it here, because of all of the above.

Nothing really. If you are looking for glamour or a pretty view out your window this might not be your place, but it was wonderful in my opinion.

Ursula at the front desk is just amazing! She is so welcoming and treats you like you've known each other for years! She always offers fresh coffee, makes sure you know about the great breakfast, and can answer any questions you may have about the area. We stay at BI&S every time we visit Bangor. Some of the rooms may be a little dated but are always clean and quiet, and the beds are comfortable. If you are visiting for a concert, Applebee's is open late. Order online on your way back to the hotel for easy pick up with no waiting 😀

The accommodations were excellent. Two double beds, flat screen t.v., adequate lighting, place to hang my clothes and lots of towels. The room and hallway was nice and quiet. I liked that I was able to view my vehicle from the window. Check-in staff were friendly and professional, as were check-out staff. I couldn't stay for the available breakfast but it sure looked appetizing and abundant. All in all, I would definitely stay here again!!!!!

The helicopter landing area was too small and should be able to accommodate more than one. The Olympic sized swimming pool had too many inflatable toys that no one was using. Did the front desk staff all have to wear Harry Potter character costumes for Halloween? What no Star Wars aficionados!!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in and Check-out were super easy. Breakfast was awesome. Plenty of variety to choose from a truckers breakfast to special dietary needs meals were available Bravo to the 3 ladies who put together the breakfast. They were very friendly and waited on everyone's needs. Room could use an update, reminded me of the 80's decor at my grandparents. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfy, and the shower was nice.
